So I've had this phone for 8 months and really like it. Runs fine and does everything I need it to do.
I decided to put a new sim into it, I removed the old one and put in new one.
Worked fine, Data/LTE was fine.
Then a couple of minutes later bluetooth and wifi turned itself off.
I try to turn them on, but they start turning on, but turn off again in 2-5 seconds.
Also wifi sometimes stays on,but won't connect to a network. It also doesn't find any network at all.
Even trying to pair my smartband with NFC does nothing, it make a beeping noise, signaling it's working.
Only thing I can think of, is that the small white piece of paper in between the sd card slot came out a bit.
This only happened once I went to remote the old sim and checked sd card.
Is this a hardware fault?

Well I got the GPS dongle just yesterday after waiting for about a month and after a reset it works fine, it picks up about 16 satellites downstairs on a cloudy day instantly and then after about 20 seconds it will make a lock on around 7 of them. But, when I turn the GPS off then back on again or take the dongle off and on it doesn't work. I have to reset the tablet for it to work. Any ideas please?
what firmware are you on? If you take dongle off while gps is still on, they yeah, itll likely act up. as its not meant to be disconnected while its activated and being used. Its only meant to be used at that time then detached immediately once you done using it. What do u specifically mean by cutting gps off n on again? Are you just doing this back to back, like constantly? or is there a time period in between you cutting it off, then on again? If there's a time lapse, then this goes back to other instruction on it. Don't leave it attached while gps is off.
You could try a soft reset to see if it clears things up. putting a little paper clip into small hole underneath micro sd card slot. Or try a cold boot. which is power off prime. then hold power and volume down button. keep holding till prime powers up and you see white lettering across the top. once you see that, release the buttons and don't press anything. The prime will automatically cold boot. it will say so also.
I am on .21 and I am pretty sure its just when I turn the GPS off or on not taking the thing off while GPS is plugged in but I will do some testing just to clarify.
Ok so what I did was booted it so with the dongle in and then enabled the GPS. I turned GPS off in the settings and the took it off and put it back on again then enabled it in the settings. Didn't work.

from my testing/use & instructions that came with dongle, Gps dongle is not to be attached until the prime is already on and gps is enabled. For me, i could just have prime on, attach dongle, then cut on gps and it'll work fine. Then once i was finished, i disabled gps, then detached the dongle since it was no longer being used and is not recommended to leave attached when not in use. Then for me, it would always work again, if i reattached it, and activated gps again. Make sure the latch on the dongle is slided to the lock position when its attached to the prime. This locks it in and enables it. A reboot or reset shouldn't be required to get it working again once reattached.
Hello,
A while back, as I was using my HTC One X+ as navigationsystem in my car, it suddenly stopped charging via the car lighter jacket (and it hasn't since). My friend's HTC still charged fine. When home, luckily, it charged properly via the AC adapter.
However, after a while, and from one moment on to an other, it wouldn't charge through my AC adapter either. I googled my symptoms and diagnosed it as a possible problem with my SIM card. I turned the phone off, removed the SIM card, held the power and volume up and down button. Three white lights behind my screen began to flicker a few times, and the red touch buttons lighted up. After about 10 seconds, it booted to recovery. I turned the phone off again using the on-screen menu, and plugged my phone into the wall socket. It charged again (amber light went on). The next day I inserted my SIM card again and booted my phone. The battery was fully charged. Not ideal, but as it all happened 1 day before I went on holidays, it would have to do.
This was the ritual I performed every evening before going to bed. After a few times, that workaround became erratic as well; I had to un- and replug the micro-USB several times before the amber light went on. A few nights ago was the first night I didn't manage to charge my phone at all this way; the amber light wouldn't turn on (and I was OCD-style persistent, so imagine my frustration).
I tried connecting my phone to my laptop, which worked. My laptop found my phone and the amber light went on. But this was only temporary as well. Since this morning, my phone won't connect to my laptop either. Laptop doesn't detect anything (at all), and my phone won't charge.
I should note two things: I used to have problems with my SIM card. Sometimes my SIM card would suddenly lock. Usually when I enter my PIN it works again, sometimes it said that my PIN was incorrect (even though I am 100% sure that it wasn't). It would tell me my SIM card was blocked and that I had to enter my PUK code. If I rebooted my phone, I could unlock my SIM card again as normal. This problem hasn't occurred anymore since recently though.
And the other thing: I have my old HTC Desire with me, just in case. And every time I try to charge my One X+, I first connected my Desire to the same cable/wall mount/laptop USB port to rule out any problems with my cables etc. I'm pretty sure it's hardware related, as my One X+ won't even charge 9 out of 10 times when turned off. I run stock software without root.
I will take it back to the store when I come back from holidays. Meanwhile, is there any way I can keep using my phone for the time being?
TL;DR:
My HTC One X+ won't charge 9 out of 10 times via the AC adapter, nor via laptop/pc. Help please?
Hey,
My Xperia mini started going crazy today- it turned off, and i noticed that the phone is EXTREMELY hot...i took out the battery for few minutes, waited for it to cool, and tried turning it on. the moment i put the battery in- same thing happenned, it went to extremely high temperature in 30 sec.
thinking it's a battery problem, i tried using a different one...but no luck.
so, i took out the sim card and put it in a different phone...after i took it out, i tried turning the xperia on again, and it turned on just fine...no overheating or anything...thinking that maybe it came back to life, i put the sim back in...but it overheated again, without turning on...
so...what is wrong with my phone? why does inserting a sim card causes it to overheat so much and stop working?
(btw, i tried putting in 2 different sims, the result was the same).
thanks,
Hello all,
So this morning I woke up to my phone saying that at some point in the night it had gotten too hot, so it powered off. I didn't really think anything of it until I got to work and realized the WiFi wasn't on. So, I attempted to turn it on, slider goes right back to off.
Restarted the phone, same result.
Started in safe-mode, again, same result.
Factory defaulted everything, same result.
Then I noticed that the bluetooth and GPS were acting the same way, but I eventually fixed the GPS, and still the WiFi and Bluetooth will not even turn on.
The phone is not rooted, so that's out of the question. I am hoping when it got too hot it didn't fry the components or something, any ideas/ similar situations? Thanks !!

I have the same problem with my V10 H961N20K i tried to flash a fresh frimware with LGUP nothing changed same problem still looking for fix
Did you find a solution ? same issue here. My phone ran out of battery, and after charging it the wifi is stucked in "Turning on..." mode, no bluetooth connexion. I already factory reset the phone, but it didn't solve the problem. Hardware related ? Should I try to flash a modem ?
edit : H960A (european 32GB). Was rooted.
edit : my phone ran out of battery. When I put it on charge, it rebooted, with a date 6 months ago. I had to manually set the date to december 2017. I use this phone as a media player, usually there is no SIM card in it. So it could not automatically set the date at reboot. I see now that others did solve the issue with changing the date, and for them it solved the issue (they could get wifi)... but the issue was back in a matter of days (and again they solved it by changing the date).
In my case, changing the date did not solve the issue, and as of now the phone is factory reset, and has no connexion whatsoever with no sim card inside. It wants me to put my google account, but I cannot. I'll try later with a SIM card.
Any ideas though ? was my modem software corrupted ?

always leave wifi on over night. woke up and wifi and blue tooth dead. bluetooth turns on then turns off 2 seconds later. wifi hangs the phone and forever stays turning on wifi.
then i searched for att update and there was one little over 600mb. to bad i couldnt download it without wifi.
reset phone several times and restored to factory a few times and would never change. Reset the phone to factory final time before shipping and bluetooth actually turned on and worked. Wifi still dead
