Sorry, could you be a little bit more specific about the screen nav bars? If you could share a screenshot, that would be best. I just don't get it what nav bar you're referring to now.

Hi, you have a screenshot or picture of the failure prompt? It would be very helpful for us to troubleshoot.
And I would like to know if your OPO is encrypted before you flash?
Thanks.

Hey, as long as you follow our flash guide, there won't be a bootloop.
How you get the v2.6.2? We don't release the international version of v2.6.2.
Please make the ROM to be TWRP flash compatible. Including OTA. This way it is easy to make nandroid backups of other Roms and encourage people to try Smartisan.
And of course the obvious next question. Any idea when we can see Marshmallow based Smartisan for OPO?
Thanks for all the support. Makes me happy to own and use OPO with all the many official ROM support

It´s very difficult for me explain in English .
Yes, TWRP works but meanwhile boot up it´s same issue that other version TWRP, half of the screen are full or colours, like old TV´s. User can´t know if TWRP are boot up or not because on screen only show this, and after ten-twelve seconds screen show TWRP OK.

I don't think so... I also have one more thing to fix in the kernel. Have you guys noticed very high battery usage? I've checked, and it seems like my phone does not go into deep sleep, and the battery just dies really quickly. I'll copy the clean source from Samsung, disable SELinux, and rebuild the kernel, maybe it will fix itself. Overall I'm taking a break for a few days, I'll try to fix the kernel next week.

Yea i removed it after one day because my phone died really quickly I was surprised then I again flashed stock rom. Now my device is clean.
Hi guys, I am new do xdadevelopers. I rooted phone yesterday with a prerooted method. Came with a problem that made my phone restart after apps being updated or installed. I did factory reset and solved that problem. In this prerooted method I got APUS. If you can tell me a little more about APUS. What exactly it is? My biggest problem right now is when i try to install twrp through odin on pc and download mode on grand prime, it shows me fail and on phone shows me custom binary blocked by frp lock. As I sad, i am really new to this and i am willing to learn.
So my questions are here:
1. What is APUS? And what do i need it for?
2. Why i need twrp recovery and why i can't install it?
Thanks ahead guys, whenever you can/ if you can
You need restore to original recovery and disable frp

Hello DZON wlecome to XDA Developers. I dont know what apus is I guess its a launcher.
Read this how to flash twrp:-
1. Frp lock is a security which dont let u flash some other unofficial frimwares and stuff.
2. You need to remove your all google accounts and then put your device in download mode and flash twrp with odin.
3. But if u again add google account again after flashing twrp ur device will get locked.
4. So theres a method to off frp lock forever. See this link:-

I can remove the magisk from the ROM zip but you would have to manually install either Magisk or SuperSU in order to gain root
Paypal donations can be sent to [email protected]

Updated OP with link to rootless version.
I won't be updating this very often as I don't own the device. but, I'm going to try and update when significant changes are made to the source.

what was the code? did it soft-brick or did it just boot and crash? sorry, its going to be hard for me to be of any real help because I don't actually have the device to test on. i have another kernel if you're able to flash files in twrp and want to try it out-->http://www.mediafire.com/file/v74089wuwaevjm7/v500KERNEL.zip
Has anyone else tried using this ROM yet and had any issues with it booting?

you can just delete the magisk app i left it in because it was easier than rebuilding everything just to remove it. in settings-configuration-misc. theres systemapp remover
Believe me I have tried, Erased everything started with fresh rom. Flashed ROM, kernel, Uninstaller, superSU ver 2.46 and rebooted just get bootloops. Flash ROM, kernel, boots right away reboot to recovery and flash gapps perfect.

Yes i uninstall magisk on every rom that comes with it. I find it to be unstable and prefer supersu.
I think your bootloop occured from supersu 2.46 but I'm not sure. Nougat needs the latest 2.79.

Thanks for hopping on so quick. Some key things for you guys to keep in mind: let me know if performance is noticeably different from other ROMs. We have included some precompiled bits that improve some specific benchmarks and we're looking to see if that translates to real-world performance.
Amazing! Will test it this weekend!
Okay short report: ROM is blasing fast and snappy. Has most needed modifications ( system dark mode, disable notch aso.... This is my dd for the next weeks!
Thanks Dev and Carbon Team for your hard work.

In contrast - clean flash of pe caf
Antutu 242399
Geekbench 2417 single core / 8712 multi-core
Usual caveats about synthetic benchmarks apply but it seems to me that if specific tweaks were applied to carbon to improve benchmarks they don't seem to be improving matters in these cases...

i think if you are decrypted & you flashed a newer vendor then you need dfe.. to keep your decryption state.
So the ROM in one word is amazing.
As for antutu, I attached a screenshot. I only installed the app and ran it, don't have any apps installed aside it, I do not know much about this benchmark nor it matters to me. But did it anyways.
This lower score could be because thermal profiles are not included? I think those would help tremendously with the score.
As for normal usage (didn't try games), everything is fluid and fast, no hiccups anywhere, definitely a solid daily driver for those who are looking to try it.
------------------
As the ROM is in a great condition from first build, there isnt any major bugs I found, but for really tiny ones, which most people won't care about but will state anyways:
1. Can the gap between clock and notification icons be smaller so 2 icons would show when there is 2 notification icons?
2. When right side of status bar is filled, icons gets pushed to out-of-sceeen to the right side instead of just just a dot, idk if this is intended to be have that way or not.
3. Swiping up the pulldown slowly while looking on left side, animation of notification icons isn't correctly working
4. Quick settings toggles in notification view aren't spread out equally, probably has to do with content padding.
Thank you,
Edit: seems like IR camera doesn't work.

No - clean flashes each time.
Format data and wipe everything.
I couldn't get carbon to boot without flashing dfe.
Edit: yes I know how dfe works and when it's needed but in this case I was delibertely doing clean flashes for testing.
Not sure why my antutu was so much lower than the poster above.

You're confusing me.
I tried to clean flash carbon and it would not boot.
I did a new clean flash but this time flashed dfe at the end and it booted.
So in my case I could not get carbon to boot WITHOUT flashing dfe.

I think if you previously flashed vendor 9.2.25 which is the latest with the carbon rom it could be possible that your data gets "encrypted", this is the only logical explanation on why you had to flash DFE with your clean flash process.

Again this is not making sense to me.
Each time I installed I formatted data, wiped everyting, flashed the vendor/firmware and ROM etc.
I was not carrying data over from one installation to another so what you're talking about seems irrelevant here.
Anyway dfe does not decrypt - it just prevents vendor/firmware from encrypting if not already encrypted.
I think you're confused about how some of this stuff works to be honest....
Your only reason for flashing dfe above is not correct.
I had to flash dfe to get carbon to boot which seems to imply that carbon cannot with the vendor/firmware encryption process or an encrypted phone.
Pkease read my posts carefully.
I was starting totally afresh when testing carbon and pe caf here.

what is irrelevant here my friend? you are aware that Disable Force Encryption stats the matter by the name here, you clean flashed the ROM, and you had a bootloop, am not sure even if you have removed all the locks before booting to TWRP nor sure about of you even have your data decrypted to begin with, the fact that you had to flash DFE to sort the bootloop also explains it, wanna make sure go ahead and clean flash the same ROM but this time around without flashing DFE.

antutu score 242687 , clean flash.
In my opinion this rom is faster than PE CAF rom.It is simply instantaneous.
Dirac sound is a very important extra to me.

You don't even have an installation guide...what recovery? Nothing... seriously?
Flashed with safe strap. Boot loop...then I had to flash nc1 kernel zip. Booted, but system ui keeps crashing. This rom is junk
@chrisnice906......SafeStrap for the N900A is no longer supported by Hashcode; as such it wouldn't work.
If you want to install the ROM use FlashFire Pro.
Steps:
Download the ROM, use FlashFire to first select "Reboot to Download Mode" and flash the ROM. After flashing, use Odin to flash the Lollipop OC1 kernel and then reboot to recovery mode to factory reset. After reboot normally and wait for 5-10 minutes for the ROM to boot successfully.
If you have issues with the System UI, I will advice not to use the AOSP overlays for now. If you still have issues, I will have to come up with a fix.

Maybe flash with safestrap, boot to download mode then flash the oc1 kernel. But I also flashed with safestrap then flashed oc1 kernel zip. Maybe do that then factory reset?

Maybe flash with safestrap, boot to download mode then flash the oc1 kernel. But I also flashed with safestrap then flashed oc1 kernel zip. Maybe do that then factory reset?

If it works with SafeStrap, you can flash, boot to download mode, flash OC1 kernel, then boot to recovery mode and factory reset; though my advice is to use FlashFire because it is hassle-free and easier to use.
Like I said before if there is anything wrong with the ROM, just say what it is and I will try to find a solution. Enjoy the ROM!

If you are using normal FlashFire, set the date to any older than 2013. But for FlashFire Pro, you don't need to alter anything.

Hi Danny,
I am using 4.4.2 and I tried to flash this rom from Safetrap. After I do a factory reset my phone got stuck at Samsung logo this is the second try. The first try I do with Flashfire Pro but can't flash it keeps say errors. and also I don't know how to reboot to download mode from Flashfire.
Can you help me? Do I need to upgrade to 5.0? I can't find the root file for 5.0 .
Thanks!
