My CM-105 is completely rooted by Kingo Software and I have been to countless threads that go back far as of 2014. Many of the links are no longer provided or current and I really need to get a different Android OS than 4.2.2. The original phone provider AT&T and of course Samsung no longer continues support for this device to receive the update / upgrade.
How would I go about updating the OS to KitKat or Lolipop and where would I find the .ISO or .IMG?

Has anyone tried installing stock Android (Lollipop) on the Hudl 2?
It comes with Android 4.4.2 and it's doubtful that I'll get an OTA update. Stock Android would also be a good way to get rid of the embedded bloatware.

I would also be very interested in getting this :good:
How can we get a stock Android lollipop for it? I want it as well. Because if it's not possible I will return it and ask for a full refund.

Good luck returning it. Unless it is proven faulty, they won't want to know.
With regards to an update, who knows. You cannot, at present, root a hudl2 if you received an ota update.
Tesco have this tablet buttoned down. We all know that root permission gives an android device the opportunity to stretch it's legs. Tesco won't even release any signature code to enable stuff like custom recovery. Pure, stock Android, still requires much information to even begin cooking it. Until sources are released nothing can happen at present. Also bear in mind, this is a UK device and is therefore restricted in the amount of devs willing to support a 'minority' tablet. I'd love to root my hudl2 but the update got me! Every other android device I have is rooted and run custom ROMs. I've even made a couple of ROMs and until we get the source code / access to the locked down boot / access to the signature keys, we are stumped.
So I have upgrade the phone to the official lollipop version as suggested by xordos in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-mate2/general/mt2-l01-t3404063?nocache=1
Unfortunately Huawei made an awful job with this upgrade, there are too many unbearable bugs
Even worse, I do not know how to downgrade it back to kitkat. I've tried flashing the kitkat rom but I got a fail. On the web I've seen many instructions on how to downgrade the MT2-L03 but I cannot find anything regarding my MT2-L01
Any help appreciated, it's now been a few months with this buggy update and this phone is becoming a nightmare... google services don't work, I cannot install any app, sometimes the battery dies overnight and even the alarm is not working anymore...
Be careful, ROMs don't interchange with the different models, i.e. L03 doesn't work for L01.

Yes I know that... as I wrote I used a MT2-L01 specific ROM for android 5.1 (Update B850), but this system update is horribly buggy. Now the problem is I cannot normally go back just flashing an older date ROM... I get a FAIL screen.
Hey folks-
I use this phone strictly for music and wifi, and I do not have Verizon service on it. Version says they can't help me update it to a newer Android build because it's not an activated phone on their network. I'm familiar enough with flashing ROMs on this phone, but cannot locate a newer (non-stock) build. Does it exist?
Thanks
Rob
Hi, I have the version 7.1.2 of android on my phoenix 4 and I want to update it to 8.1 but although the official update exists, my cell phone simply does not receive it because it is from at & t and I currently do not use at & t. Can anybody help me?

I too am trying to update and no longer in AT&T range. Even using LG Bridge, it comes back saying it can't determine version and won't update. I found some discussions that "Tec's Aristo 2 Tutorial's" should work for Phoenix 4, but those that have successfully rooted and/or installed new ROM seem to lose touchscreen functionality and even flashing stock back does not restore the touchscreen.
So seems it is close, but not close enough to risk turning it into a brick. Anyone out there have luck with updating this phone without connection to AT&T towers?
I'm really wanting to roll back to Android 11. Two months ago I was able to roll back to Android 11 from 12 using Odin, but it seems the latest update or two has completely locked the bootloader from earlier versions..
As someone more than familiar and comfortable with getting root, unlocking bootloader, changing roms and using Odin on all my previous galaxy phones it seems the S21 is a black spot for that kind of talk. Is there any way to downgrade?
hello, for downgrading your phone's operating system version you need to know, what the binary version your phone has (now it is usually 5) and you have to search for a stock rom version with android 11 with the same binary. You can find it on sites like samfw and so one
