Greetings all, first post here, so to get down to business, i have tried to root my z2, however the bootloader is not unlocked. Anyway, i have found a guide here to do it even with unlocked bootload, which required : downloading rooted mm and bootloop fix then saving them on my phone, afterwards i was suposed to download stock lolipop and flash it on my phone. After that when i turned on my phone it started omptimising applications and then when the phone booted up i started getting these messages in the title, and i couldnt even enter the settings or anything since it crashes on its own after several messages. If you could help me out that would be awesome, thx in advance
Did you wipe data when you downgraded or updated?

Flash your phone with flashtool with any version of firmware and you bring it back.

You should have cleaned dalvik-cache.

Hello,
I had 4.0.2.A.0.42 installed for a while and since mid last week, my phone gets spontaneous restarts.
It's happening basically anytime, even in the middle of the night whitout doing anything.
Today, I wiped everything , installed a stock ROM on .38 and then took the official upgrade from SE, so I am back to .42.
It still crashes.
Is there a way to get a crash log to check why it crash?
DO you reckon it could something faulty?
Thanks
Rooted? Bootloader unlocked?
via Sony Ericsson Xperia
I am joining to question. neo restarts also
My Neo rooted and bootloader unlocked.
I had random reboots when using blend_MIUI by JasonStein. Maybe that had the same cause?
Hello,
No root, no bootloader. Nothing "hacked" or custom FW.
Thanks

download update service http://sonyericsson.com/cws/support...ds/subject/updateservice/1.675329?cc=gb&lc=en and try to repair your firmware.
I already did that.... and I already reinstall the FW from scratch too.
Maybe I should reinstall to a lower firware and see if it happens or not.
Problem is that it started suddenly last week without doing anything. I haven't installed anything new for ages.

my Neo does not restart on old firmware, only new ones. but old firmware is bad.
Hi all,
I am currently using a ICS based custom rom on my LWW and the battery drain is driving me insane.
I'm hoping that I can simply install GB (with root access) then begin to uninstall all the unnecessary programs accordingly.
My question is what is the simplest method in doing this? I thought about installing 4.0.2.A.0.62 version but I don't know how to gain root access in this (.58 is easy to get root access on). In searching for solutions, people on this forum agree that a person should flash to .58 then do a OTA update to reach .62. However when i did this (through wotan server) I selected Australia (where i'm from) but was only given the option to upgrade to ICS version, not the .62 GB
I am just wondering what is the simplest way i can get .62 and also get root access?
Regards
Jay
P.S: I'm looking for a simple GB version but all seem to be quite heavily modded (plain .62 GB version with the basics mods ) which seem to have few glitches/bugs
You don't need to purchase the firmware for your region, just use a generic :good:
Search for a .42/.58 firmware, root it and do an ota update (via wifi) to .62
How to root is in my rooting guide!

Hey
Ok, i did get manage to get to .58 and then got a option of upgrading to .62. However my phone stopped working (green blicking every time i tried turning it on). The phone refused to turn on.
I used the 'UnbrokingXperia2011' pack listed on the tutorial to get my phone working.
At the moment it's charging and is on .58. I just received the upgrade message (upgrade to .62) to upgrade. I'm wondering will this do it again?
I read that if I have a unlocked bootloader, it causes issues?
I still have no way to upgrade to .62 with root access

Yes, OTA updates brick the Phone if your bootloader is unlocked.. I came across this yesterday while searching for links for my guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688980 - which you could try.

Hi there,
Thank you, yes on my third attempt i was successful
YAY! .62 with root!
However believing that i should flash custom kernal, i flashed X kernel 2.6.32.59 (flashed wlan fix then kernal) without wiping anything - just went into recovery and flashed it straight. Everything works fine except i can't turn on my wifi :/
I tried replacing it with Rage Kernal 3.0 but it still get an error when i try to turn on wifi.
I'm hoping i don't have to reflash the whole thing
Thank you
Edit:
I cleared Dalv Cache and then flashed the wlan again but i'm still receiving the error. I should of backed up my wlan
Any way to solve this issue?

Flash the Kernel first, reboot to home screen, reboot then flash modules, then reboot again.

Hi there,
Ok
These are the steps i followed:
Flashed the X Kernal via FlashTools
Booted to home
Turned off phone then rebooted into CWM
Flashed the wlanv4 zip
Rebooted home
Tried to turn on wifi but getting the same message, "Error"
So then i did the same thing again but before i flashed the wlanv4 zip, i wiped the Dalv Cache to see if it made a difference. It didn't
Still stuck with the same "Error"
Also tried to flash bbooff;s Kernal through CWM and flashboot.
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25499983&postcount=101
but getting the same error
Edit 2:
Ok, i reflashed the whole thing. I'm now stuck again :/
After rooting .58 then using the Xperia-Root option given by puppet13th i keep getting a white blinking light with reboots. It just going round and round.
Argh!
Just need a simple .62 GB for LWW with Root! hehe
Damn i need to ask someone to do it for me. I tried doing it on my own but it didn't work out the way i wanted it to be (reboot loop).
Sigh*
Edit 3:
Is there a place i could request this? A rooted .62 LWW flashable rom? There doesn't seem to be one around on the forums (that i could find).
Regards
When you reflash the stock ROM is it restoring your WiFi?

Hi there,
Yes i am on .58 at the moment. It won't boot to .62 (White LED, continues to blink then phone reboots again) when i tried to follow the steps provided by puppet13th.
I have been looking and trying to figure out a way that i can make a rootable .62 for my LWW
I've zipped it under normal compression with WINRAR. Let's see how it flows ...
Wish me luck :fingers-crossed:

I connect my Galaxy Mega (i9205) to kies and it showed that my phone have new update. Bear in mind that my phone is rooted previously (CWM). Kies updated my phone to I9205XXUCNA3. I update my phone with no problem (it took longer time only) but unfortunately KNOX ruined everything. It keeps on saying that SuperUser is trying to access the system. Furthermore, my Wifi is not working at all. I tried to click on the toggle button but no to avail.
So after searching, I found out how to disable KNOX - By flashing using vcoreroot-v2. Done flashing with this file, and now I can't see my interna; SDCard. I'm doomed and now I don't know what to do to turn back to how it was before.
Anybody that can help me, really appreciate it.

I see that so far you have found a way to disable knox AND cripple your Mega...
IMHO the best way to fix this situation is:
1. Download once more your newest firmware I9205XXUCNA3 (e.g. from Sammobile) and flash it by Odin to resolve starting position. Or try to restore your firmware through Kies.
2. Then BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING read forums to find information how safely root firmware with KNOX. You have to be known so probably your warranty is already void and if not so it will be on the first attempt to root your unit. You are warned... There are some threads about rooting KNOX-ed firmware and even how to come back (partially) to previous build.
BEWARE! Do not attempt to flash older firmware lest you brick your Mega. New bootloader prevent from downgrading and if you try you will have endless bootloop. Upgradindg to newest firmware is one way trip.
OK I've followed your advise:
1. Re-download I9205XXUCNA3 from Sammobile and flash using odin.
2. Re-apply vcoreroot-v2
and after reboot.... WALLA!! My phone is back to normal again! And same goes to my internal SDCard, back as normal.
I have a problem with messaging where it keeps on crashing at first. But then I boot into recovery, clear cache and apply factory reset.
Now, all back to normal.
Anyhow, thank you so much for the tips. Now I can ease out a bit

I am glad you are successful. Sometimes you have to repeat two times, but no more: one for download errors, two for your errors. But if then you are not successful... then you have to look for another solution...

I have my SGP612 (Wi-Fi only model 32gb version) and I had prerooted 6.0.1 but lack of access to custom recovery. Then I tried installing the custom recovery with the latest XZDualrecovery software and that ruined my tablet to go into bootloop. So the next solution was to try out in reverting back to Kitkat (or whatever software available I could grab here on XDA).
I also tried the Xperia Companion app to repair software, but that pushed it to upgrade to the latest Marshmallow version with no root or anything! Even now I reverted back to 23.4.A.0.546 (pretty sure this is Lollipop), I have all these service errors and it would go back to force restarting itself.
What to do?

Although I didn't explicitly said it on my first post, that's how I'm trying to go back to older software. I will successfully flash, but i will have lots of processes crashing and errors, which then it will do a forced restart and repeat. Processes crashing such as com.Android.phone and etc.

From @Spectre51 in the FTF collection thread:
US Retail - SGP612
23.4.A.0.546
1291-4653_R4C
Shall I attempt to bootloader unlock instead to be able to revert back to Kitkat, kingroot to install XZDualrecovery, then flash prerooted Marshmallow correctly?
Bump
When you used the flashtool, did you check the possibility to wipe data and the other two options? Can't say what they are at the moment, but you need a clean install.

the problem you are describing is happening if you dont check wipe data - always wipe data when downgrading or you get crashing processes
please help me. ive been dealing with issues with my v10 since i tried installing a custom rom this morning. i had to factory reset my phone and bring it back to 5.1.1 after accidentally softbricking it. now i want to update it to 6.0 to see if i can smooth out some of the many issues that suddenly rose (phone restarting upon trying to uninstall things, settings crashing when opening the security tab among many others) and trying to install the ota via flashfire didnt work. so i just want to completely relock the bootloader and unroot my phone and just get it back to normal. can someone please help me.
(im sorry im just so tired ive been dealing with this since this morning, its now 4am)
FIXED: just used the lg up client to install the marshmallow kdz. everything is working fine now.
Any luck???
