Hi I am having a bit of trouble flashing the unofficial CM 13 mod onto my Samsung galaxy S6 Edge [SM-G925I] Australia-Optus, 6.0.1,
Everytime I try to flash the mod, it ends up getting bricked and freezes on the 'Samsung galxy s6 Edge powered by android' screen.
Ok so here is the procedure i took:
1. Downloaded the mod from; http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=12940#downloads (I downloaded cm-13.0-20151221-UNOFFICIAL-zeroltexx.zip) [Zip]
2. Rooted my phone using CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltedv-smg925i.tar.md5
3. Downloaded Flashify onto my phone and installed TWRP recovery through the app
4. Downloaded OpenGapps from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...development/cyanogenmod-13-galaxy-s6-t3269984
(ARM, 6.0, Stock) [Zip]
5. Moved both CM zip and OpenGapps Zip onto my phone internal storage via usb cable
6. Went back into flashify and restarted the phone using TWRP recovery that i downloaded within the app.
7. Got into the TWRP recovery screen, went to wipe to factory new and install CM followed by OpenGapps
8. Then i proceeded to reboot the system, in which ends up getting bricked in the Samsung galaxy s6 edge powered by android screen.
If anyone could point out something i did wrong in the process it would be much appreciated.
A step to step guide would also be really helpful .
P.S. I am able to unbrick the phone using Odin and a stock rom

Alright guys, I need some big time help. I've recently rooted by US cellular s3 by using a link on youtube (it wont let me post it because I'm new).
Everything went well with the root and I was ALMOST done completing everything I needed for my new cyanogenmod 10.1.2 ROM (or whatever download upgraded me to 4.2.2). I downloaded a gaaps package and flashed the zip file it came with and my phone rebooted into Team Win recovery project.... not into the CWM I've been using the whole time. Now when i turn on my phone, it loads to cyanogenmod home screen, but says the gaaps package has stopped and setup wizard has stopped.
I reboot into recovery and it takes me into the TEAM WIN RECOVERY PROJECT instead of the CWM reboot screen i've been using the whole time. Before flashing the gaaps package, I did a nandroid backup of both my cyanogenmod ROM and the unrooted ROM and switched back and forth between both with no issues. Now with the TWRP reboot, it doesn't show anything in the restore tab.
Heres some highlights:
I'm using a Macbook Pro, but could have access to a pc if absolutely needed
No problems until I downloaded a gaaps package (probably the wrong one)
Reboots into TWRP instead of CWM
No restore files available
Please fellas I could use some help! Your responses are greatly appreciated!
Hey guys,
So I got my self in a little hiccup..
I took my sister galaxy S3 I9300 and decided it's time that I put a new rom in her phone. now I got a nexus 5 and I know how the all rom thing works, I rooted the phone with odin and installed the CWM recovery.
Now I downloaded a CM11 mod that said it was compatible with the phone, apparently it was not.
I put the rom in the phone's internal SD card ( she does not own a external SD card ) , went into recovery , wiped everything and installed the rom.
After I hit reboot system now the phone's stranded I9300 logo wen't up and after about 10 seconds it flashed a bit and wen't back into the CWM recovery.
Now, I can't put a new rom in the internal SD because the phone won't boot up, and I tried pushing it through adb but without luck.. maybe because the adb stuff I got is for my nexus 5.
My question is, how can I push a new rom into the phone so I can fix it? right now we are stuck on recovery..
Flash Stock ROM via Odin
Device: Samsung Galaxy S3
ROM: CyanogenMod 11 (Temasek Unofficial V26)
Kernel: Boeffla-Kernel-CM11-2.1-Beta8-

thank you very much! the problem has been solved.
Mid year I decided to root and flash Cm 11 onto my little s3 mini (gt-i8190) and everything went great. Recently I read on the Novafusion website that they recommend using TWRP instead of CWM, searched on Google and saw it was safe to flash over custom recoveries. I used Odin to flash over the TWRP I downloaded from the Novafusion site. When odin completed its process my phone rebooted into TWRP and it all seemed fine, then I proceeded to flash the latest version of the Cm 11 4.4.4 rom. Again everything went great and my phone booted up normally.
I got the zip file for the Android L keyboard and I used Rom manager to reboot into recovery and showed the "Samsung Galaxy sIII mini gt-i8190 screen and just went black for 10 seconds, rebooted and continued going black then rebooting. I pulled the battery out and booted up my phone again then used rom manager to flash CWM again and it worked! I used CWM to flash the keyboard apk and it worked.
I was a little bit worried about the recovery bootloop and decided to make a nandroid backup. I couldnt reboot into recovery, manual way or with Rom manager.
I have used odin to flash CWM and TWRP a few times now without any luck. My phone just reboots normally when odin finishes.
If anyone could shed some light on this issue I would be grateful.
Thank you.
I have a Sprint Galaxy Note 3.
As of yesterday it was functioning perfectly with a rooted stock Android 5.0 I tried to put a custom rom on it so I could use xposed and it has been borked ever since, I will list the steps I took and everything I've tried and their results below:
(I did full wipes in between each different flash)
1. Flashed TWRP with Odin (worked)
2. Flashed CyanogenMod with TWRP (worked)
3. Booted into CM to discover I could not get any data connection (could still make calls)
3. Booted to TWRP and flashed DarkLord rom (said there were errors [writing symlinks], caused boot loop)
4. Tried step 3 with Norma rom, CivZ rom, and a Stock Rooted rom (all same results of boot loop)
5. Booted to download mode and tried to flash samsung stock kitkat (just said failed)
6. Booted to download mode and tried to flash samsung stock lolipop (failed)
7. Booted back to TWRP and flashed CM again (this time not only no data, but no calls either)
Seems like maybe one of the issues may be the abundance of region codes and whatnot for all of these roms (including samsung official) and none of them seem to be for USA.
Does anyone have any suggestions or help to offer that I haven't already tried? I don't care what the rom is at this point, I just need a working phone that makes calls and has data as I'm out of town away from family and need to be in touch.
That said, obviously my preference would be to have a rooted KitKat rom so I can install xposed, or a rooted lolipop that isn't a samsung ART (for the same reason), but I'll genuinely be happy with anything that works.
I could be wrong, but is it maybe best to stick with CM simply because it's the only thing that will boot right now? If so how would I go about solving the non existence of a network connection.
I am also using Ting as a provider and they hop off Sprint networks. I had full bars of signal in this location the entire time when I was stock. Thanks in advance!

1. Power off your phone completely
2. Boot into download mode (power + volume down button - then press volume up button to get into download)
3. Use Odin to flash this, which is the tar for OC5 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/development/romodin-t3095540
4. Reboot into STOCK recovery and factory default reset. If you skip this step, you will have issues
5. Once booted into OS, power off again and re-do step # 2 to get into download mode
6. Use Odin to flash TWRP
7. Once complete, immediately reboot into TWRP, or you will be dumped into stock recovery next time you try to get into recovery. I've done it this way since MJ4 and never had an issue.
8. Wipe everything including internal storage - NOT your external SD
9. Install ROM of your choice; I would recommend this one which is deodex and will allow you to install Xposed - http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/development/rom-t3132662
10. Profit
Good luck!

Thank you so much for such a quick response! I'm downloading the file now and will be trying this as soon as it's completed. Also the rom you recommended was one I tried that failed, but hopefully with your extra steps it will work because it looks exactly like what I'm looking for.
UPDATE:
That worked fantastic @rpenrod23 thank you so much! Where is your donate button?
Hello. I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 from 2015. I was trying to install android 9 on it. But when i wanted to flash the lineage zip file, i've got a error. Updater process ended with ERROR: 7.
The same happens with gapps but with error 1. I can't use Magisk and other programs because the logo is bootlooping. And i can't turn on the phone( only recovery) i wanted to get the android 9 or 11. Now idk what to do with this phone. Thx for answers
To get rid off of all the modifications you made re-flash phone's Stock ROM.
