SO I created the partitions with TWRP, installed Link2SD, got the paid version, moved a few apps and all worked fine.
After reboot I get a message saying something like "some obb and external data couldn't be relinked, I hit recreate links but the games are broken anyway.
Anyone knows how to fix this, is this occurring on other ROMs (Have MIUI 8 Global Developer ROM)?
Thanks for the help

Hi,
1. I was on unofficial MIUI v5, which i found here (iXanza on XDA). Was on 3.4.12 and all was fine except for small issues with bluetooth.
2. Yesterday I downloaded the official MIUI v5 3.5.17 and updated the same on my phone without wipe. Everything is okay except many applications needing SDcard is mibehaving - they are not able to see the SDcard - like music and gallery app.
EDIT: Poweramp is seeing the SDcard and able to play music.
3. Funny thing is that the File Explorer sees the SDcard fine and can launch the media files in respective applications successfully. Also, gallery is not even listing phots from the internal storage DCIM\camera and other folders.
4. EDIT: Also, the market is gets stuck in the download operation but refuses to even start.
I know the first suggestion would be do install with wipe but is there any other way as even titanium backup pro is also not seeing the sdcard??
PS: I have also tried formatting the same in FAT32 as suggested in another post but it did not help.
Thanks in advance.

Everything works fine after wipe. Thanks.
Hey folks,
I use the latest unofficial CM13 build for onyx with running exposed modules, working gravityBox etc. –
I wanted to tweak onyx's way oversaturated display-colors via blu_spark kernel.
But unfortunately I can't find it in the twrp-filebrowser. Almost everything is empty.
Installing from TWRP-Manager also doesn't work, since I get the message after rebooting "can't find the file".
I am using a SD card with Marshmallows Merging feature (although still wondering how I can control what goes where)
I don't remember since when I cannot see find my "Downloads" folder in TWRP. But I guess since then another problem occured:
GMail says "unknown issue with google play services".
Maybe these two are corralated.
Please help me, fellow Android lovers
Thx,
Louis
The "adopted storage" feature fully encrypts your SD card. TWRP cannot access encrypted storage devices.
Thx for the info!
Is there any way I can decrypt the adopted SD for TWRP? Or how can I control where my data is stored, so I can find the files in TWRP and install st uff? I mean, there must be a way to influence where apps are installed and files stored.
Thx so much! ?
I am currently using Oneplus one with which i am facing issues which i think have to deal with storage permissions.
Issues i am dealing with
I can't take any screenshots it says "can't save screenshot due to limited storage"
I can't take any photos it says "insert your sd card before using camera"
I can't Download apps like Chrome or anything like that
I can't download images from web
I can't even move files from my pc even though it detects it
I can't Move any of my files in my phone It says "Operation Failed"
Actually, i installed resurrection remix rom and installed gapps later discovered that my camera and downloading doesn't work.
My device is not rooted (i don't want to) and has TWRP recovery installed. and has my both rom and gapps in the internal storage which i can only access through TWRP. I don't have any important files on that phone so, i am good to delete them. But i only want a Nougat Clean install with proper functioning of storage. i tried so much but it doesn't work at all.
Please help me, this one's so horrible.:crying::crying::crying:

I can't believe you hadn't tried that.
Hi, i'm running a Moto E with android version 5.1, and since updating to this version of android I have had constantly so little space on the internal memory that I can't even update the pre-installed apps even though I have as good as as no other apps installed on the phone as well as zero images, videos, music or any other media files.
Therefore I've spent a few days trying to figure out how I could move the pre-installed apps to my SD-card.
So, I've rooted the phone, installed the program called Link2SD and I tried using that program to move the apps. Yet it gave me a warning:
"Failure
pkg: /data/app/com.google.android.apps.maps-1/base.apk Failure
[INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_INSTALL_LOCATION]"
Then I found that it seems I also need to create a so-called "second partition" on my SD-card, but I've not yet managed to find a tutorial on the internet that worked for me.
Since then I've tried 6 or 7 other similar programs with no luck, in the process reading somewhere that it actually couldn't even be done on android versions 4.0 or later. Is this true? Could someone be a kind gentleman (or -woman) and guide me through this? That would make me very happy indeed.
Thanks in advance

It's better to install custom rom of android 6.0 + and flash gapps pico or nano and in android 6.0 + you can format your external SD card as internal so, it'll help to use all on external storage and gapps pico also takes minimum space so you definitely saved you internal storage to be full
if you don't know how to do that stuff then you can ask...!
Hey guys!
I received a phone Alcatel 7040t which got just 4GB of internal storage. It is rooted.
I'm successfully able to link 16GB memory card by creating 2 partitions.
Everything is working fine. PlayStore works fine. I've installed many apps.
Install location is set to auto.
The problem now is that WhatsApp and Facebook is not installing and giving error 910. When try APK file, it shows out of space.
Solution:
Install Apps2SD PRO app.
Select Broken App Cleaner option.
Tick Select All option and it will scan data.
Clear it and restart the phone.
Hope problem will be solved!!!
Thanks to Tribes11 for the idea.
If have any problem, please share.
I'm having the same issue after updating to Magisk 18.1 and having issues, needed to go back to Magisk 18.0 but after that, I can't install apps from play store anymore.
Now I don't know what to do, my bigger games and some apps are on 2nd partition.
I'm using MIUI 9 on Redmi 4 Prime 32gb.
Hi my friend I've managed to get past the error, I can assure you that everything can be done within app2sd. You need to clear the unbound apps data and then restart. It's a script run through the app itself.
