Custom Android 6.* ROM for Asus Pegasus 2 Plus - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have a new Asus_X550 (the Pegasus 2 Plus), running Android 5.1.1.
Since I bought it in China, there are pieces of it in Chinese, which I don't want. Therefore, I'd like help with *one* of the following, in order of preference (the best being #1)
Can I flash Android 6.* onto it? How? Where can I get a compatible ROM?
Can I flash some other custom ROM? How? I checked, and it doesn't seem to be supported, at least not by CM. I've seen the one article all over the place claiming to do it, but I'm unsure of the legitimacy of the ROM given, esp since the download requires surveys and such.
How can I replace the Chinese app drawer and UI?
Thanks in advance for your help.

1. The are no ROMs with Android 6
2. The are no custom ROMS
3. Obtain a ROOT and you can do this

A very special custom ROM

Hi.
I'm not a programer or developer, but an Android enthusiast. I am looking for someone to help me (even payed help) to mode a stock firmware (Orange Hiro - Alcatel One Touch 6012 that run Android 4.2.2 ) in a very special and unusual way.
All I want is to block installing any other apk file on the phone, other than the app I will already install as system app into the modded firmware. I know that is possible since some carriers are already doing this (some US based carriers). There are a few ways you can do this, but I think that simply removing "Applications" part from firmware (or making it invisible or unresponsive) will be the easiest way. Sure, ROM stability is a must.
I hope that I have posted this thread on the right section.
Thank you.

Installing languages/ROMs with more languages

Hello, I got a phone which doesn't have polish language. How can I install it? Do I need to flash a ROM which does have more languages? Or maybe there's none available?
Ok, so I managed to do it myself. By installing AOSP since apparently Lenovo doesn't support my language.
I was running Android 4.2.1 (ROW) with a ROM that was probably dated at 2014 (the last part of the ROM name started with "14" instead of "13"). It looked like there would be many complications but I've done it Here's how:
1. Install QuBex-ROM using Manufacturing Flash Tool (here's how - but URLs aren't working so I just googled them and downloaded them from somewhere else) and therefore upgrade to Android 4.3
2. Use K900 Unlocker to unlock bootloader.
3. Install TWRP and AOSP as described in here.
Hope it helps someone

Installing Android on an Android-less device

Hi,
I am thinking about buying a GP90 LCD projector, which comes in two flavors: The default version with Android 4.4 preinstalled, and a cheaper version with no Android preinstalled.
Can someone help me understand what my options are with the cheaper version? Am I right that it would be either risky or impossible to install some "general" Android version on the projector, so that most likely I'd have to get the stock version (which I probably won't be able to obtain anywhere) or install a custom ROM that has been tailored to suit this exact device (which probably doesn't exist)?
Thanks!

Is it still possible to install custom rom on huawei tablets for free?

Hi,
I am new to custom roms and have a Huawei mediapad tablet T1 on which I wanted to install custom rom, but I discovered that I need code for unlocking bootloader, which isn't provided by Huawei now directly, but paid codes are now provided by third parties. Is it still possible to get these codes for free?
If not, then I plan to buy a new tablet, allowing custom rom installation. Can you please recommend which tablet manufacturer or tablet model is most friendly for such custom roms installation?
Looking forward to your response.

If you're looking for tablet for installing custom roms, it is bad idea)) Now, no one wants to do custom roms for tablets, because iPad exists)) But if you dont care, you can buy Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite (30+ roms for this device), or Xiaomi PocoPhone F1 (20+ roms for this device). But, if you are really need android tablet for Custom ROMs, buy Samsung tablet, cuz, now it is the most popular tablet manufucturer from android world.
sorry for late answer):silly:
By the way, sorry for my language, im ukrainian))
UPD: There's no way to get unlock code for Huawei Bootloader. Exists unofficial methods, but better no try))

Install a secured phone custom rom

Hi,
My question is as the subject? Is there any good guides for making a rog phone version 1 with android 9 to be a classified as a secured phone.
Mostly functions that is not necessery will be removed on the phone. Is there any roms you can get tips on? This is testing so, is there any rom that is compatible to Asus rog phone version 1?
Newest stock rom is installed and boot loader is open. Im not the best person at phones and that but can get a given hand when its needed. But im asking you fellows first to choose a custom rom or OS.
The source code and kernel are open to download on asus website maybe we can get a dev or someone can take a crack at making a custom Ron maybe even get 10 . I see no reason other then the phone not being as popular
