I want to know if my warrenty is avoid and also if I will get OTA updates after :
1. I unlock the boot loader officially
2. I unlock the boot loader unofficially
3. I root the phone
4. I flash Custom ROMs
I heard that after flashing TWRP, OTA updates will cause boot loop. How to root and still get OTA updates normally?

Hello, I am the owner Desire X, unfortunately after unlocking bootloader and install the official firmware is not updated, the phone downloads the update but the installation is necessary to restart (after restarting the phone boot into recovery menu). I tried to re-lock the bootloader but after restarting the phone does not load firmware (ends on HTC logo). Please advice how to install the official update without modifying the update-script.

Have you installed any custom recovery or custom rom....if yes you must have full stock rom to update...
Have read many threads re what you can do with official / unofficial unlocked bootloader, it appears there is lots of potential problems when using the unofficial method...
I cannot find much comment about if you have an officially unlocked bootloader and how careful you have to be flashing /twrp/ota a new ROM, or is there less risk if unlocked officially.
There is no risk involved if unlocked officially.
there is, so use official
If unlocked UNOFFICIALLY
- Before flashing MIUI ROM zip via TWRP, delete apps_boot.mbn file from the zip & then flash.
- Before flashing MIUI firmware via fastboot, delete apps_boot.mbn from the images directory & then proceed.
- If you fail to delete the file, phone will hard brick.
-To return back to OFFICIAL locked status, flash MIUI firmware via edl mode.
If unlocked OFFICIALLY
- No need to delete apps_boot.mbn, flash via TWRP, fastboot, edl mode normally.

Will unlocking the bootloader voids the warranty?
I'm going to be receiving a new RN3 SD in a couple of days. Since I ordered from Banggood I'm expecting to receive it with a spammed ROM and am planning to flash it immediately via EDL with the latest MIUI 8 stable ROM. Since it might take a while to get unlock permission and to make the unlocker work, I'd like to know if the following method will work to root the phone and install Xposed with a locked boot loader:
1. Boot phone into fastboot.
2. Temporarily boot TWRP recovery via fastboot command..
3. Flash Supersu.zip and Xposed with TWRP.
4. Reboot phone normally.
Since Android Lollipop doesn't use a hash of /system to check for tampering, I was hoping tis would work.
Thanks.

You can't flash anything via fastboot on a locked bootloader. Just wait for your permission or you can try Kingsroot for rooting.

Kingroot doesn't work with redmi note 3
( not just kingroot , any root software won't work with Rn3. , only way to root is to flash supersu.zip through recovery after unlocking bootloader )

You can also create account now while you wait for your phone and apply for unlocking feature now
I've done that and when the phone arrived I already had all ready

I am using R3Pro stock A.19 with custom Orangefox recovery (bootloader unlocked) and need help updating to:
Latest Stock Realme UI (https://download.c.realme.com/osupdate/RMX1851EX_11_OTA_1050_all_mrfWfUMXI172.ozip)
Or
AOSP Extended v7.1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...om-aospextended-rom-v7-0-realme-3pro-t4044387)
Which rom is best as a daily driver? And what do i need to do to update without getting bricked?
Also is it possible to get root on the latest stock firmware? Thanks in advance
From the obvious lack of replies i went along with option 1 and flashed stock recovery from fastboot and then locked the bootloader hoping to update with the ozip. But now i am stuck on boot/recovery destroyed and unable to enter fastboot or recovery.
Thinking back it may be because i did not unroot from Magisk or flash a stock boot image after it was modified after root. Looking at other threads with the same issues maybe relocking just breaks the firmware anyway. Now waiting for Monday to see if the Service Center is open so i can get it fixed as no one seems to have any other solution.
Long Story Short >>>>> DO NOT RELOCK BOOTLOADER on Realme 3 Pro RMX1851 or be ready to take a trip to the Service Center
