I have canvas hd a116 with stock 4.2.1 I have weird problem while
Charging it goes 70% to 100% in one second. And while using it
Drops from 55% to 15% immediately. How to solve this problem.
I rooted my phone. No custom kernel installed.

I think you damaged your battery ! Search " baseboard P10 for Micromax a116 . it's a flashable zip file. It will help a little

Turn off your device and remove the battery. Put it back after a few minutes. Should solve the problem. Works for me.
And use only the supplied charger.

I getting a problem with my MMX A116 CHD.
Like if my Battery is 90% and I switched off my phone and then restart the battery goes to 10-15% and system alert to plug-in the charger.
Now, if I again switch off the phone and then connect the charger it will shows charging indicator and level upto 85-90% and then I switch on the phone (without unplugging the charger) than battery remains upto actual (85-90%).
I already did :-
Battery calibration using Battery Calibration (Paid version)
Procedure : Charged 100% ...
then discharged completely ...
even tried to start when discharged ... not starting, battery totally drained ..
Then again charged upto 100% and then again check with Battery Calibration ...
app says that you have already calibrated the battery ..
I used CWM 6.0.2.5, 6.0.3.0 and 6.0.3.3
Now I am on TWRP 2.5.0.0
Now, I am sure that there is any problem with JB 4.2.1.
Because I was using Stock 4.1.2 since last 2 days and tested several times (switch off and switch on) the battery remain same.
But today I flashed 4.2.1 again and now tested by switch off and then switch on .....
Battery falls from 60% to 12% ...
So, it seems there is any problem with 4.2.1 ...
Even I also checked my friends phone the same situation is there.
Friends, we can not carry the charger every time and every where.
So, what is the problem I can't understand.
Can anyone help me ?

Callibrate your battery using battery callibrator...https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration
1.first charge your phone upto 100%.
2.click on callibrate.
3.unplug the charger..
4.allow battery to discharge(Don't use too heavy app to do it just normal use)
5.after discharging again fully charge the battery..
6.Your Battery is now callibrated...

Currently i m on JellyXperia ROM...now if i m switching of my phone & connecting charger..no dynamic animation is coming to represent battery charging state..it becomes static...any idea ??
Edit: Previously on stock rom i was able to see that animation..also i have done calibration once when my was connected to the charger & was on 100% then calibration app (Battery Calibration) popup a msg that already done or something like that..is there any problem happened with that calibration app ??

I think it's hardware problem ... or may be due to heavy use / change of custom ROM's.
However, today I called the service center guy and ask him about the problem.He also confirmed the issue and also told me that in few sets this problem is rectified by re-flashing the phone ... but in few the problem still presents and then they sent those to company to change the mother board ...
I am also going to handover my phone to them ... may be they sent it for MB change ... as I already tested all stock as well as custom ROM's

i bought a new battery of ERD(a company) a few days ago
i charge my battery to 100% but at 50% it drains rapidly n phone turns off in 5 mins
i tried rebooting when battery was at approx 75% n it showed approx 25% after reboot
it works only 6 hours on wifi
i dont have time to wait for full drain n full recharge without doing any **** after calibrating it
if i dont use wifi it is able to run phone for approx 17-18 hours but still drains after 50%
i am on canvas 4 rom for canvas hd
any suggestions ?

I too faced battery draining so fast from 30% - 15%. And i used to charge my phone twice a day.!!!!
All i did is i changed my ROM and wiped my battery stats VIA ROM TOOL BOX...and then my problem was solved
Hi, My Micromax Canvas HD's battery was draining very quickly. So, I purchased a new battery but no success. I searched google and came to know that battery needs to be calibrated after flashing a new ROM and i also updated my canvas hd from 4.1.2 to 4.2.1 JB. For calibrating, device needs to be rooted. So, I rooted my device. Now, this is the point where i am confused. There is an app on playstore "Battery Calibration" by NéMa. I downloaded the app and followed all the instructions in the app about calibrating the battery. This app deletes batterystats.bin system file to calibrate the battery. After calibrating through this app, I saw some improvement in battery but i noticed that battery power goes down at normal speed upto 65% but after that, it goes down rapidly. What is the problem? If i am using wrong method to calibrate the battery, then please give me the correct & best one. Thanks in advance.
Calibrate your battery when it is below 15%. Then use battery below to 5%. Then charge till 100% without any brake. It may solve your problem.
