I had already rooted it and was going to perform a ROM backup and during the install of the recovery the phone froze (for about 15 mins) so I unplugged the battery & charger and It went fully dead, no boot animation or pc recognition whatsoever. I was going to install TWRP recovery to backup and make my own ROM to see if I can get any decent life into it. This phone Is nothing special to me since I bought an iPhone 5c 3 years ago instead because I couldn't bare to look at how horrendously bad this samsung phone is.

Hello I have a Samsung Galaxy s2 T989 I have clockwork recovery and Juggernaut installed, when I downloaded clockwork I waited about 2 1/2 days before picking a rom as I wanted to make sure I wouldn't brick anything and made sure I did it to the T. It installed great.. (I have two S2's I had a "device failure" and had t mobile send me a new one so that was my clean slate.. I started from a "brand new phone, did 2 wipes before I did anything, only thing I downloaded on device after clockwork was done was Rom manager pro, Titanium back up pro and quick boot.. I then did the full install of Juggernaut (read the instructions for probably 3 hours before I took the plunge) After I had it installed and rebooted a couple of times I let phone sit for about 4 hours before I touched it, I loaded up TB and got all my info off old phone, now to my question...
When I have wifi enabled, my phone signal shows a red x above the signal if not the 0 is this normal? I scoured the web trying to find it, I even wiped my old phone and put juggernaut on it and it shows a the same thing..
Hi guys,
Let me start off by just saying I've been rooting and roming for 3 years with my old G1 and this has never happened to me before. Last night as most crack flashers do I was changing roms. I was going from DroidTheory's Axiom to Miui. I was carrying out this rom flash as any other. I nandroid backed up my current rom just incase anything out of the ordinary were to happen and I wiped before actually flashing the rom as well. This time though I was a bit suspicious when actually wiping. I got the normal date-wipe and cache-wipe messages after telling the recovery to wipe my phone but it also said it wiped my sd-ext which of course is my external sd card. I didn't think of it as anything then of course so I just carried on and flashed the rom and restarted. After restarting I was pretty much just stuck on the Moto dual core splash screen for about 20 minutes so I tried rebooting into recovery. To my dismay it never did boot into recovery but kept going back to the red moto logo. I decided to check my sdcard by plugging it into my laptop and again to my alarm there was nothing on the sdcard. This is the first time after trying over a hundred roms on my 6 different android devices owned that something like this has happened. Never before has my recovery actually wiped my sd card when I just chose the factory reset option. What's even worse is that now I can't get RSD lite working since my battery is low. This was never a problem on my Motorola Milestone when I used RSD lite since I could physically remove the battery and put it in a external battery charger. So now I turn to you my trusty XDA community. What should/can I do. My battery is too low to carry out RSD and I can't boot into recovery at all or access any of my nandroid backups because the recovery actually wiped my sd card. Somebody please help. I do not want to lose my baby like this. I've been a crack flasher for years and something like this has never happened to me. I have a Rogers XT910 if that helps at all. Please help a fellow XDA crack flasher find a solution
Problem: Phone will not charge while powered off. Phone freezes on "Galaxy S III" screen. I can sometimes get my phone to boot up if i try installing the clockwork.tar or stock image file(boot-stock-sprint-sph-l710.tar) in Odin. When i can get into my phone and it boots up my battery is at 1% and a message pops up saying "charging paused: battery temp too high". When my phone is off and plugged into a wall a yellow triangle with a thermostat appears and doesnt seem to charge.
Background: My phone is the Sprint version of the GS3. My phone is rooted. I haven't touched any files pertaining to the system nor have I tried removing any bloatware. I haven't flashed any ROMs.The only posibile thing i have done that may have caused this is restoring apps in TB that were originally on my Droid X (only restored data on 2 games and amazon app store. didnt restore any system files or apps).I installed CWM using Odin(not adb). I rooted my phone by flashing the superuser.zip file in clockwork recovery. My phone was rooted for over 24 hours and functioning fine prior to bricking/battery problem. I currently can get into download mode but not CWM recovery.
My current plan moving forward is to try and get a new battery/find someone close to me with a gs3 so i can charge my battery before messing with my phone. I am afraid that if i try flashing anything in Odin now my phone may die in the process and mess my phone up any more than it is. One i get a charged battery i plan on trying to get back into CWM and restoring my non-rooted backup I made, or wait on a Full stock Odin package for my phone.
Also does anyone know if the Samsung Galaxy S III I9300 battery is compatible with the US Variants? I found this on Ebay -> http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-x-2100mAh...Accessories&hash=item3a753b6680#ht_2405wt_952 and figured it might be worth a shot. I had a similar charger as shown in the picture for my Droid X and it worked fine.
If anyone has any ideas as to why this happened to me or has any advice/suggestions i would greatly appreciate it.
Hi,
I downloaded a kitkat kernel from the internet (a kernel that was advised here) and put it on my internal SD from my galaxy s2. I already had a kernel from Siyah. I put the phone into recovery and installed the zip. After installation I rebooted the phone as advised. But then I got a black screen. After 5 minutes I tried to turn on the phone with just the power button, but that didn't change any thing. It is now more than 2,5 hours ago, and my phone was warm, especially in the right upper corner, so it still was working on something. But now I am afraid that it runs out of battery, because I it's battery life wasn't very long (although it was at 90% when I started)
So I put it to my laptop to charge it, but I don't know/think if it charges.
If it runs out of battery while installing a kernel, is that catastrophic? And does it charge while connected to the powergrid or laptop/is it allowed to connect it?
If not, can I try to reboot another time?
Note: there were barely any apps of data on the phone.

It does not take long to install a kernel. You should be able to boot to recovery and install another or restore the last one (if you made a backup like you're supposed to...) The phone should charge while in recovery just fine.

Hi Everybody, excuse me for my english
I am new in this forum, I go to talking about my experience in my case ,I have changed the touch screen it was broken, it this was 2 months ago and it worked very well, however one week ago this frozen screen , touch screen don't response , turn off and remove battery. then turn on and just begin and stop in animacion Galaxy Trend s7560m ,i tried some times and again the same , then i did the next pass
1. - i tried to do hard reset/ factory mode -- I can not get into that mode
2 - Downloading mode -- yes then I installed proper drivers for samsung, installed Odin3 and Firmware for galaxy trend s7560m.
I made the flashing with successful, when end my cell was working well.
This just worked for 5 hours about then the same frozen screen and stuck in boot, I went back to the same old process, and nothing Odin finished with PASS! however cell stuck in boot.
When connect the cell to AC current with the charger this don't charge just turn on and stuck in boot loop one and other , remove the battery and carge a multicharger until fully charged then try remove the battery and multicharger carge a charge until then try again fully loaded firmware and run , after a few days the same again .
I found a way to make it work only when this happens is to put the phone in downloading mode and connect the USB to the computer until a sound is heard connected dipositive wait a minute disconnect the power cell and ready works again without loading firmware , this only works with a limited battery that is only works if you have approximately 70% battery.
I not find way to do to work properly
Does anyone have a similar case? or any ideas will be taken into account
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
