readonly? inner storage and bootloop, but recovery is ok. - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone!
My i9300 one day refuse to boot.
But boot in recovery is ok.
Download all data via adb in recovery mode.
Any try to write in inner /sdcard via adb = reboot
I`m try to flash stock 1file firmware from odin - bootloop on stage configuring apps after the logo (sometimes on first app, sometimes on 4-5).
Try flash TWRP and format /sdcard = reboot
Seems /sdcard partition is RO or damaged, but other partitions is ok.
..
Please help, what else may I try to restore phone?

It seems I fix it.
Flash 4x file firmware with PIT and "Nand Erase All" check. It finally boot, but with broken imei.
Flash proper modem & revover efs from backup.
Time to test functionality, and setup proper firmware.

Stuck on samsung spalsh screen

I was trying to install a new ROM and somehow something went wrong with mounting my data drive. I did a full odin recover and still nothing, just stuck at the Samsung slash screen. Any ideas?
? Odin doesn't do recovery, are you sure you know what you've done?
Best read the basics in general, stickies. Follow the guide to return to stock, ensure you factory reset before you flash.
Need a bit more info than that. What rom did you have before, what did you flash, how did you do it, does it go into recovery and if so, does it show any error message, how do you know it's the /data partition that's not getting mounted.
If its really the /data partition, you can try to go into recovery, get adb connected and mount that partition manually. In my S3 it's on /dev/block/mmcblk0p12
I do believe odin does restore /data, if so, that's not your problem.
Doesn't do /efs though. I had a similliar problem once with the /esf partition. Had to manually format and copy it's files back. Only then my phone booted properly again.
I think you are both confused between odin and either kies or nandroid.
Odin will only write over whole partitions, it won't backup or restore anything unless you've created a flashable partition image. Make sure you know what you're doing as odin can be the fastest way to hard brick your phone.

Samsung S6edge E:failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument)

My phone was dead due to unknown reason. It was very slow for last couple of days, so I reboot the phone into recovery and then wipe cache and dalvik. After the wipe I reboot the phone but it stuck on Samsung logo. So I tried different unsuccessful methods like, flash stock ROM, etc...
After flashing the stock ROM, rebooted the phone into recovery for factory reset, then only I noticed the error E:failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument).

I had this exact same problem all week.
There are a few steps you need to take before you can get your phone back to normal.
Step 1. DO NOT wipe the efs. Doing so will wipe your IMEI and serial number therefore never letting your phone connect to a cellular network again.
Step 2. Flash TWRP with ODIN and backup your efs using TWRP (make sure to keep this backup on your PC)
Step 3. Get the zerolte PIT file and the BTU stock ROM (Flashing my original stock rom didnt fix the issue so I used BTU and it fixed it)
Step 4. Flash the PIT file using ODIN and wait for your phone to restart. Then enter download mode again and flash the BTU stock rom
Step 5. Go back into ODIN and flash TWRP again, then make a backup of your efs again.
Step 6. Plug your device back into your PC and put your backed up efs from step 2 into the new backup and overwrite the files
Step 7. Restore the backup in TWRP and restart your phone
If your phone boots wait a little while and the carrier selection menu may show up. At this point you can leave your phone on that ROM and wait for Samsungs updates.
Common asked questions:
My phone fails at sboot.bin. You either havent flashed the PIT file or your phones bootloader has been updated to a newer bootloader. Try flashing just the modem.bin file from the tar file and seeing if that fixes your issue.
I've wiped my efs partition. In this event you need to go to a repair shop and have them write you a new efs. Once a efs is wiped your IMEI and serial number are irreversibly gone.
My phone fails at hidden.img. Try flashing again if its not working flash a new PIT file and try again.
The file name of my firmware: G925FXXU5DQA7_G925FBTU5DQA2_G925FXXU5DPL3_HOME.tar.md5
Android version: 6.0.1
CSC: BTU
Hope this helps you fix your device
i just cleared my efs with z3x tool..my phone stuck at samsung logo..anyone help me plz

Unable to boot into TWRP after reformating /data

Hi guys,
Having a bad time setting up my S7 Edge (international model).
End goal is to have it rooted with a Lineage OS ROM.
Successfully flashed TWRP (3.1.1.0) using Odin3 (v3.12) and had no issues booting into TWRP and looking around.
Issues began when I tried to wipe the internal storage in preparation for a new ROM; I got errors along the lines of "unable to mount /data" invalid directory, "unable to mount /system" etc, and the wipe would fail.
Following another user's guide I formatted my /data partition to ExFat (plan was to then format it back to Fat4, which supposedly fixes the issue), however this froze the phone. I was able to reboot it after leaving it a few hours, however now the phone just freezes on the TWRP logo when I try boot into recovery.
I have reflashed TWRP to no avail.
From what I've read online, flashing a new ROM via Odin might recreate all required partitions (namely /data) ? Issue with this is I can only find .zip, not .tar ROM's as required by Odin.
Have I just turned my phone into a brick ?
Any suggestions on what to do next would be greatly appreciated !
Many thanks,
Pron

Is EMMC of my phone corrupted or not?

I am using Spice Dream UNO(Android One).
Bootloader: Unlocked
ROM: Marshmallow Stock ROM
Rooted: Yes
Recovery: TWRP
My phone suddenly started giving continuous Force closes so I restarted it and got stuck in a bootloop. Trying to Wipe any partitions failed with Error 1 and I was unable to copy or write to any partition from TWRP file manager. Nandroid backup and restore failed too.
So, I tried to flash Stock Lollipop ROM using SP Flash Tools and it flashed successfully but now all partitions show 0 MB size except Boot, IMEI and Recovery partitions.
Flashing ROM or restoring backup using TWRP still fails. Changing partition format, wiping, formatting fails too. Manual flashing using fastboot shows success but partition sizes still stay at 0MB. I have tried everything but I am not able to restore the partitions back to normal.
I haven't used the format feature of SP flash tools.
Now starting TWRP or fastboot turns the phone off and I am not able to access them.
Is EMMC of this phone corrupted or not? Can it be fixed?
Anyone? It's urgent.
Please, anybody? I need this phone right now.
