i just installed this Remix-OS_3.0.101_20160726_VB-64bit in a virtualbox computer and it's working well but the screen is too small, like what? 1024x768 or something, pretty much too small.
Is it possible to have it show in a higher resolution?

Is there a way to change the Display output resolution in Android?
I'm not talking about the screen density (DPI). I'm talking about the pixels.
The thing is I own an Acer Iconia A700 FullHD tablet but there is lag, especially on 3D games that forces the native screen resolution of 1920x1200.
So forcing the resolution from 1920x1200 down to 1280x800 would theoretically reduce those lags.
So it works with some games that comes with an option to change the resolution, but most games doesn't have an option, they simply run in 1920x1200 and lag really badly.
Is there a way to change the overall resolution down to 1280x800 ?
I know it MIGHT be possible but there could be a problem because the image has to get upscaled to the native display resolution.
And I don't know if the Tegra 3 comes with an hardware scaler.
So if the resolution gets changed, it might get upscaled and filtered (or not) OR just centered in a smaller image in the middle of the screen.
But either way.. Is it possible? if yes, how?
Thanks in advance.
[Q] Change Smartphone Display Resolution FHD 1080p to 720p via soft?
This is possible?
Currently many smartphones are already FHD, but what if we want to reduce to 720p to improve performance, it is possible via software? something like in windows, or is not possible unless you edit the kernel?
This an interesting topic.

Dear all,
I downloaded and tried RemixOS 3.207 x64 on VMWare VM just to try this amazing OS. All works fine, except screen resolution.
Default screen resolution (VMWare window) is 800x600 and searching on Google I was not able to find any working method to set my desired resolution at boot or when OS running.
Attention: I don't want to setup screen DPI, I can already do that and is working fine. What I desire is to set the screen resolution (VMWare Player host window) to a specific resolution (ex.: 1600x900).
The only method that seems to work half is to add "vga=ask" on GRUB menu, and when RemixOS is starting it propose me a list of resolutions to use.
If I choose 0x342 (1152x864x32) after confirmed with RETURN the VMWare window size changes to a bigger size, and internal RemixOS resolution is really 1152x864x32.
Unfortunately higher resolutions are not present (max is 1152x864) and I don't understand if this is a limit of RemixOS or by the VMWare video card emulator which not supports higher VESA modes.
However windows is working fine at full res (1920x1024) inside VMWare.
Please help in setting VMWare fixed high resolution for RemixOS.
Thanks
this is the exact problem with remix, someone fix please
Hello,
I have a minor annoyance with my monitor on Remix Os for pc. I have searched but could not find anything for fixing this.
My native aspect ratio for my monitor is 5:4 but it supports 16:9 (on all resolutions except one which is 5:4 native unfortunately)
When I change the resolution on remix I get a HUGE letterbox effect where the picture is merely a race stripe down the middle. The native aspect ratio warps images just enough to bother me. I would love to fix this because it is a multitouch monitor. On Windows and Linux I have the option to select out of a list my monitor supports. (1280x1024 5:4, 1920x1080 16:9) On Android/remix I manually input them but I can't find anywhere to change the aspect ratio. Would anyone know how to change this?
Any help would be appreciated
Hello, I installed android x86 on an old laptop to run a game. Everything is working correctly and no issues so far. Now I’m trying to run one app that only works in cellphone resolution (720x1280). Tried to change resolution with apps from playstore, resolution changed but app stoped. Tried to change resolution with terminal ( wm size 720x1280 ), resolution changed but app still stops. Then i finally remembered to edit build.prop and added (debug.drm.mode.force=720x1280) to build.prop and the app started to work, but now the resolution doesn’t fit in display, causing the image to flip and stretch in screen. Now that I’m sure that it’s a resolution problem to use the app, is there any alternatives to display things proportionally on screen without flipping all the system and apps?
Thanks and sorry for the big text
Hi,
Im trying to setup a X96 mini to my liking. I connected it directly to a 24" 16:10 monitor. Im not aiming to play movies or anything like that, but want to display music sheets as pdf via the adobe reader app in 16:10 ratio.
It seems the box always forces a 16:9 ratio, as this is what the monitor is showing (FHD). I was able to change the resolution via a command prompt app. I tried different resolutions like 1920x1200, 1280x800 or even 1920x1080, but anything different then 1280x720 squeezes the image to non-fullscreen. I wouldnt mind a lower resoultion, but atm I have no idea how to output a 16:10 resolution at all.
Any ideas are highly appreciated, thanks!
