Can anyone help me up with android reverse tethering in OPX so that I can use my pc internet in my phone. especially when I'm in office.
Thanks in Advanced!
You should create a local wifi with your PC and connect to it with your phone.
The simplest way I think.

Hi guys. I wish to use the GPS signal from my Atrix [T-Mobile, UK] on my laptop.
I have tried to use GPS Share but it's a convoluted process with the Android SDK "abd" command failing on my W7 system. I can't seem to link the virtual COM ports to the USB.
Anyone know of an easy way of doing this GPS tethering?
[I'm not too conversant with programming!]
Thanks in advance!

I use GPSTether to share the GPS to my android tablet, it may work for you on W7?
Has anyone gotten this to work, or come close? Wifi over work really isn't an option..
Switching to phone portal gives me a srX device, none of the settings give me any type of usb interface.
I've done searching but haven't found any threads discussing USB moto phone portal for linux, i'd be willing to help figure this out.
arch/gentoo/lfs/ubuntu user.
Are you trying to use it as a Mass Storage Device under linux? Make sure you have the following working under your linux installation. Scroll down to the linux section.

No, I can mount it as storage no problem.
I want the web portal you can use with Windows. Where I can view text messages, etc from a browser.
My main work pc is linux, as are all my home PC's. I don't like the idea of using WiFi for this at home, and it's simply not an option to have WiFi running at work.
I tried installing the motorola suite under wine to no success.
If I could get the phone to be in the state it is when it's connected to a windows PC(serving that web interface), I could manually configure the usb0 interface, bridge, and connect?
any linux guys been working on this?
Hello guys, I have a specific question. I bet that it's very rare, but I bet that in this forum there are some real Android gurus.
The thing is that I need is to use my Android device as a Wifi adapter.
My problem is that I need to solve this scheme.
Home Computer [1] has internet connection via ethernet, but has no Wifi.
Laptop Computer [2] has Wifi, but has no internet connection.
The problem is that Computer[2] needs internet connection.
I want to share my internet from Computer [1] to Computer [2] via my Android (Gingerbread, Cyanogenmod, rooted).
Both computers are with Windows ([1] - XP, [2] - 7).
Could somebody help me? Or it's just not possible? This thread would be very helpful for our community.
And no, when you use integrated thethering function, phone does not act like a bridge. It does share it's 3G/2G broadband to Wifi or/and USB.
What android device are you using? Some android devices (from HTC) have an internet pass through service which could be useful in your situation.

In that case, you could try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229558 then use a wireless tether app: https://market.android.com/details?id=android.tether&feature=search_result to share the internet with Computer [2].
The universal solution is here:

I found it here:

That does not work on Windows Xp.
Hello,
Well the question is this...How to use my USB cable to transfer my PC Internet (DSL Cable, No Wifi) to the phone..(Reverse Tethering)...I've seen people using this method with apps like Easy Tethering or Reverse Tether, how about a little guide for this, whoever that has done it so far?
There is such a proram on android themes and apps forum. Just connect your phone and you're ready. I think it requires root

As jakuurban told you - app Reverse Tether.
But you need root (as said) and Windows only PC.
Hi,
I have Raspberry PI (there simply runs ARM linux - Raspbian) and need to access it via ssh and http in my local network. I have tried some tether application, but it does not help since there is NAT.
I have tried some port forward apps, I have set ports but still not able to connect to this port. Do I need to change anything on my RasPI?
I have thought that I need some interface on RasPI, but there is no (sth like usb0). I have tried to connect firstly with easytether and then portforward, but still no success.
Any advice?
Thank you.
