I have rooted several devices and now that my kids are older I was hoping to root and debloat my kids nabi's. I started with my sons which is an original Nabi 2 . Basically I can not get any of the installers to work cause I cant get pdanet to work. I tried to manually sideload twrp but I keep getting footer and cannot validate sig errors.
Im lost. Is there a newer guide, program, or twrp that Im missing?
Ive searched and have tried so many suggested solutions from older posts, that Im hoping someone can help shed some light on how I can accomplish rooting our Nabi's.

[Q] "DPInst.exe does not execute on your current o.sys" error when using FlashTool
I have an Xperia Tablet Z (SGP321) running stock 4.3 _10.4.1.B.0.101, and have been trying for the past week (on and off) to downgrade the firmware to 4.1.2_in order to obtain root, and re-reflash 4.3
I have tried EVERYTHING, but no matter what I do I keep getting "DPInst.exe does not execute on your current operating system" error message.
I've scoured XDA and other sites regarding the issue but, to be quite honest, ended up as confused as a bag of cats!!!
No disrespect to contributors - who I know do this for the love of Android, and from whom I (and thousands of others)have benefited enormously - but some of you really need to learn how to write clearly about how you've achieved route, flashed roms etc.
For example, posts like "I downgraded to 4.1.2, rooted, and re-flashed to 4.3 without any problems"" doesnt help anyone!! and comes across, to me anyway, as smug.
Anyhoo, I've used alll versions of Flashtool from 0.9.11.0 to 0.9.15 - no joy;
DESPERATE for help as I cant stand using an un-rooted android device (pop up adds all over the place; can't create my own hosts file; no xposed framework/modules.....all of this is my idea of Android Purgatory...but with none of the laughs!!!! or, worse still, an iPhone
Thanks in advance
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
I have tried everything online. They either ask me to download OPPO Tools APK which does nothing or suggest me to try other rooting apps like Kingroot, towelroot, one touch etc and nothing works! I havent even updated my firmware for half a year.
ColorOS version: V2.1.0i
Android version: 5.1.1
Build number: r7kfEX_11_151225
I have waited for half a year since I first tried to root and some apps like Kingroot says it's in queue.....for half a year now and no progress. So, does anyone know how to root an r7 lite? I don't mind many steps as long as it's clear what I should do.
Thanks.
EDIT: Nvm, i finally found a way in a comment buried in a forum. (cant post links...nvm)

Hi you could try my TWRP version which I build specifically for the "R7 Lite".
You can download it here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0bAICq7NVq1VmF2QnBqTGRIaUE
Also you will need to unlock the bootloader in fastboot. Let me know if you need any help with that.
This TWRP recovery doesn't work. MS8939 Oppo R7kf with the latest update installed 160324. My phone isn't booting in any mode after flashing the recovery nor in the Fastboot neither in the Recovery..
dear team,
locked SGH-I337. Im not able to recall the basband version and firmware version of my device now. What im remembering is what I root it with kingroot and installed xposed along with Safestrap recovery module. I was unaware about the bootloaders using at AT&T versions at those time. I was able to use the device for more than 6 months without any issues. But it went to black screen since from last week. What I did the wort was I formated it via safestrap and tried to restore the backup file which I made while healthy run of my phone. I tried for some solutions from Xda and its been like that before. I heard that the software version couldnt get downgraded from a typical Android version (Im not sure its MK3 or not) onwards due to the bootloader restrictions. Currently the phone is not loading to recovery screen, but its getting loaded to Download mode for God's sake. I tried every solutions marked in Xda threads and still it been like a 9K costed paper weight. I dont know who I can seek help other than Heaven of developers, Xda.
please help me.....
thanks in advance,
AKSSHATH
You could flash the stock firmware with Odin.
You can find it here: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SGH-I337&details=Galaxy_S_4_ATT
Hi all,
I know this subject has been tackled before, but I'm getting nowhere.
I bought my Tab2 in November 2014 and it used to update pretty regularly. Then it just stopped and, to be honest, I just assumed that Lenovo had stopped supporting it. It wasn't until last weekend when I was trying to revive my 7" Galaxy Tab 2 (which I did with no issue thanks to the guides here) that I stumbled upon a thread here: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo...2-A10-70F-to-Android-5-or-higher/td-p/3652615 which states that there's an issue in Android 4.4 that stopped OTA updates. I've spent today trying every possible firmware I can find to upgrade from 4.4.2 but I get errors every time, using the standard recovery provided with the tablet.
It's not rooted, it's running 4.4.2 build A7600F_A442_000_029_150401_ROW
Honestly, I only want to upgrade to solve the battery drain issue I've been having for the last few months. I don't really want to root or run a custom rom at this point, I'd rather keep it stock. I've tried to find info and sort this myself with the posts here and on the Lenovo site but solutions given either don't work for me or require a custom rom and/or recovery. Is there any way to get this updated without root/custom recovery?
Errors are either just "Error" or "Error: Partition Table Not Match"
I've wiped data, still nothing working.
Tried these firmwares: A10-70F_S000123_160921_ROW_WCE6B83E28, A10-70F_S000216_170601_ROW_WCAA43162F, TB2-X30F_S113_160816_ROW_FULLOTA and TB2-X30L_S000118_160831_ROW_LENOVOOTA using guides here and on the aforementioned Lenovo forums.
Any advice gratefully received!

Hi everyone
I've spent a good week trying to flash to twrp and a custom rom (AOKP/Viper) , I've read many pages with how-to's and am simply overwhelmed/given up with what to do. I'm running Heimdall on ubuntu.
I'm currently running:
Model: GT-I9100P
Android: 4.1.2
Baseband: I9100PXXLS8
Kernel: 3.0.31-1246097
Build: JZ054K.I9100PXXLSS
I have tried to install Philz touch recovery 6.48.4. It came up with a status error 7 as my device model was ' ', so I removed the necessary lines, then it errored with a signature verification. I've watched a good few youtube videos and they didn't work, I don't know what I am doing wrong.. I can flash stock rom's fine though.
Can someone hold my hand and guide me what to do? It will be appreciated!
