Hey there,
the bootloader of my G5 (h850) is unlocked.
TWRP installed, root not yet (but i could)
For some unknown reason my wireless does not work anymore so i wanted to update my android to V10D (europe).
After i will install custom roms but at first i wanted to know if i have a hardware problem.
Due to the TWRP an OTA update is not possible .
Now my question:
Can i install V10D via LGUP with an unlocked bootloader?
Or do I have previously perform a relock ?
thanks in advice
you can with unlocked
just go ahead

I have a non-international phone so without code from Lg I cant unlock bootloader. Some guys are doing things. I could not understand difference.
are they trying to root a already unlocked phone or are they trying to unlock bootloader?

Steps for getting your device root
1. Unlock your bootloader
2. Flash .tot file suitable for your phone model. (Twrp Recovery is included)
3. Flash super su and a fix which will be available in the same thread.
Your device should be rooted .
Hope i helped

This is only helpful is they have the H850 or H830 model number. If they do not, then unfortunately there is no root available but we are doing EVERYTHING we can to get this to work.
mine is LG G5 850 TR so from I cant unlock bootloader so no chance to root.
I have LG G5 850 TR,too. Someone must give us unlock code!
Hey guys, I'm not a developer but I could use some help to be able to use my phone again. I just moved to another country and can't use SIM because it's locked by the original operator.
Well, I've managed to root the device (RootCheck says so) and installed SuperSu. What should I do now to unlock the phone's SIM capabilities? Install a new ROM? unlock bootloader?
Thank you in advance
Charo
There is no bootloader unlock for the D625 and, thus, no custom ROMs.
Flash an unbranded version of your phone's firmware with LG Flash Tool.
I've tried a couple KDZ but SIM is still locked.
Any other options for this?

Try one that says "open" or "unbranded".
Hello, so currently I m on H90120J and I keep getting notification to update software, but since H901 is a bit strange with rooting I m not sure if I should update.
Currently my bootloader is unlocked but I can't install two. I need to investigate on how can I achieve that since fastboot Command returns error when I try to install TWRP 3.
there are a tutorial in xda forum about how to do root. and after doing root it doesn't matter if you have latest update installed before rooting or not.
cheers
Hi
Just a stupid question. I have two H850, one unlocked, second could not be unloked. Can i copy whole unlocked h850 file system and flash it with LG-UP to not unlocked one?
I think you can by reading full firmware of unlocked one via edl mode via service boxs which support reading firmware from lg g5.
You can flash the firmware you read to the unlocked one .
But i think it will not boot
I am thinking that to unlock lg h860 we can first flash lg g5 h850 rom in it and then we can unlock the bootloader bec i think hardware configration is same lg g5 so this method should work had anybody tried this??
I found this method below at the link posted to unlock the bootloader for the H860. Try this at your own risk, I have not tried it myself because I dont own the phone yet.

I doubt this will work, so far only European H850s have had the ability to unlock. It's not as simple as flashing a H850 rom either, that doesn't override the bootloader.
Flashing the whole rom (a KDZ rom or every img file from a complete zip, with all the complementary partitions, as the bootloader) could be in theory a solution. But you should be able to trick LGUP so that is sees your H860 as an H850, and then flash the ROM (hoping that the partition scheme is compatible). You should also make sure that the H850 bootloader can't detect it's being loaded on a H860 (refusing to boot), and only then you will be able to flash TWRP and do whatever you want on the phone.
Unfortunately, I don't know any way to circumvent these two obstacles.
Flashing just the bootloader using
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
shouldn't work, as the bootloader is locked.
In my developer option I now see : Enable OEM unlock option. Does it mean my H860 is unlockable?
In theory yes, try enabling the option and unlocking the bootloader.
