I see so many AOSP ROMs, and several people using ... And I wonder, still nobody realized Xposed is not working on AOSP ROMs? This prevents me from using a ROM of these, since several modules are important to me. I know that the solution of this problem should be undertaken by the developer Xposed, but if nobody complains he'll never know, I've tried to do this but had difficulties in knowing inform him ...
Nothing can prevent xposed aside a lack of root or the device running ART instead of Dalvik VM

Strange ... When I used AOSP ROMs (CM, Carbon) did not check that. But I have not changed anything. Let me know if by default these ROMs (AOSP) we find for the Z2 is selected ART? For I have not changed anything ...
I've used xposed on cm, pa, aokp and aosp all worked fine, this was on an s3 but the softwares all the same
I've used Xposed with AOSP ROM on other devices too (S3, razr hd, G2 ...) I'm just having trouble in Z2 [emoji20]
Maybe it's a module? I'm currently using xposed with about ten modules on cm11 and all is fine

hi there! Installed Xposed without any problems on the newest 14S Rom!
I did that because i hoped to find a way to get something like doubletap2wake through that but it seems like there is nothing you can do if the kernel itself doesnt support it from the getgo.
Do you guys know of any more ways to wake up the le max 2 apart from the power button and fingerprint sensor?
Thanks!

Use gravity screen and you can wake it by movement or gestures (wipe over proximity sensor). No more buttons for me...

I'm on stock s19 indian ROM. XPOSED worked only until i use SuperSU as root manager. I switched to Magisk and now i can't able to install systemless XPOSED. It stuck on booting screen. I tried this one with Magisk, got it installed properly, safetynet passed with patch, but none of the modules worked.
So what should i do to have working XPOSED?

Okay
There seems to be a few different versions of xposed for nougat currently available. Lets use this thread to discuss what works and doesnt work for our device.
My setup
ROM: Nitrogen
XPOSED: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
Modules: minminguard, youtube adaway
works/doesnt work: so far both modules appear to be working. i have had a few app FC on reboot but nothing significant
Rovo says don't touch it.

Great minds think alike.
Haven't really missed Xposed on Nougat. Can't think of anything I used Xposed for that I'm not getting with current ROM (Screw'd) and Magisk modules.

I was preparing to switch to another ROM with a clean flash in mind so I decided to try this on my 6P running July security, RR ROM, Franco Kernel, and Magisk - even though it's not compatible with our device. Flash succeeded and device booted but immediately after a plethora of apps crashed. I was able to open the manager app and browse through the list of available modules but clicking on download yielded a microsecond download before failing in all cases. Pretty interesting at any rate. Apk confirmed that the framework had been installed. Hopefully, this helps push xposed development forward a little bit
Yeah, same here...gave it a try and multiple app crashes. Everything was fine after running the installer. Will try again when official support for the 6P is out.

yea having the same issues after installing the framework had to restore for now...
Installed v87 and seems to be working
so far enabled adblocker, youtube adaway, and greenify modules
greenify or youtube adaway modules don't seem to be working
running RR 5.8.3 - 7/8/17
I tried a version on Pure Nexus 7.1.1. Lots of FCs, some insignificant, some critical system processes. Turned the Greenify and 3C modules. 3C worked fine, but Greenify couldn't see that it's module was active. Xposed uninstall .zip worked fine for removal and return to no FC state. Sad.
running stock 7.1.1 N4F26T
working exposed version
xposed-v88.2-sdk25-arm64
no work:
xposed-v88-sdk25-arm64
xposed-v88.1-sdk25-arm64
xposed-v89-sdk25-arm64

It seems this is a problem on rr darkness. Try the official RR. I heard it works on the official one.
Update: NFC payments has been fixed in Los 17.1 (and probably in all other ROMs) so this module is no longer required.
As far as I know out of all the Android 10 roms only NOS and now (based on NOS) the two PE roms support NFC tap and pay using Google Pay.
I've created a Magisk module that adds the NFC files from these working roms which should make tap and pay work on other roms (I'm using it on Los 17.1).
The nice thing about Magisk modules is that they don't touch the system partition, they survive dirty flashing, and can easily be removed either with Magisk Manager or by deleting the relevant folder under /data/adb/modules
I've attached the module (flash it in TWRP; don't try to install it using Magisk Manager).
Note: requires Magisk 20.2 or later.
Thanks to @xyyx, @PlayFriik, and @Gaurav24

Havoc OS added it in the latest build (20202602) too I think in the future all ROMs will include the fix from NOS sources.
Thanks to NOS devs and to you guys! :good:

So i just flash this patch via twrp for problem solving?
I use redwolf recovery, is it possible to flash this module? And do I have to install the magisk before or can I install this module without the magisk?

Yes, you have to have Magisk installed and then flash this module.
Fyi, ROMs that are based on Los should no longer need this module because NFC is now fixed in Los.

FWIW, definitely don't flash this on top of an LOS ROM; caused a bootloop for me that I couldn't get out of, had to clean wipe and start over. My own darn fault for not reading everything through the first time or making a backup first, just a warning for others :silly:
