Best ROM for performance? - E 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have the XT1526 Surnia version, but I am wondering which one of these many many many ROM's in the developmental section is the best for performance. I am currently using Dirty Unicorns, but CypherOS says his is for performance mainly. I don't know, but which is best in your opinion, performance wise? I don't want a lot of options, just barebones MINIMUM apps, and performance tweaks.

I have the moto e 2015 3g "otus"and use the best rom is the ZEPHYR-OS-6.0.1-20160808-otus-v4.3-Krypton, imagine that your version surnia should be just as good, so I recommend it. .

Well , in my opinion , trying almost all roms, the best one until now has been SLIM ROM because it is based on Aosp-Caf and has limited features unlike many other ROMs which r feature rich n hence lag a lot n also huge battery drain is caused. I favor a rom which is light weight like slim which provides performance n battery together. Important point is that slim rom provides amazing battery build as it lasted for one whole day. Just give it a try!

Paranoid Android vs. CyanogenMod

Hi, I'm wondering which rom you suggest I flash to my nexus 4 device. Paranoid android, or Cyanogenmod?
What I care most about is, battery life and performance. I don't really care about customization.
Which one is better in your opinion? :]
Thank you so much!

CM12 has a priceless feature of privacy, they perform more or less the same.. Take a look at custom kernels for your device - as those will give you best battery, performance or both - depending on what you need.
I'm personally using CM. Not sure about which one performs better, but I like cm because it gives me the features I want, without cluttering the ROM with features I'll never use. PA and other ROMs are based of cm, so they normally have more stuff than cm, and it just ends up getting annoying. With cm, most of the options are set good to go, so u just need to change a few, like stock, but with a few very unobtrusive additions that are integrated into the system really good. Take for example, root. It's part of privacy guard instead of superuser, which is integrated very well into the os. I haven't really used PA, so I suggest you try both and come to your own conclusion.
If you just want performance, then I'd go with a close to aosp rom.

Help in choosing a custom rom

I need help in finding a custom ROM which should be pretty much bugless and has good memory management!
Please help me
What you choose is you choice, no one can make that decision for you, but if you want a stable, bug free system that's fast, responsive with excellent battery life, its my personal opinion to go for the last release of cyanogenmod (CM12.1) which was the 17th April build.
I've been testing various ROMs for my moto e 2nd gen, its my experience that most of the 6.0 marshmallow based ROMs have various bugs and stability issues, with recent CM13 builds being very unstable.
Bear in mind this is only my personal and honest opinion, another person may tell you that CM13 is very good, but if you spend a few minutes reading each ROM forum, you will see many people are reporting various problems, some worse than others, while only a handful of users report no issues what so ever.
My own personal experience is that the new 6.0 stock ROM for the E2 is not very good, and I moved away from it after a few days, while other users are reporting its very good......
If you really want the best 6.0 marshmallow ROM, in my opinion go for resurrection remix 5.6.7 as I found this fast, stable and without many noticeable bugs.
But if you want rock solid stability and over 3days battery life, go for CM12.1.
I suggest you take a few hours and do a bit of research and make your own decisions and conclusions, remember how you use your E2 and what you do with it can have a big effect on ROM performance.
Regards.

Paranoid android vs AOSExtended? Why?

Which do you think is better and why? I'm currently on rr and the day to day performance is not smooth enough for me and ram management is not that good for me.

Ssly? I've seen many threads like this, these are useless threads IMHO.
You've to flash both of em' one after another and find one which suits you.

Different ROM, different features = different output
Got it?
2 months ago when i last checked paranoid Android it had a lot fewer customizations than Aos extended.
Its very subjective... You have to try it by yourself
I'd say for customizations, go AospExtended.
For minimal customizations but buttery smooth exp go ParanoidAndroid.
LOS 14.1

Some of it maybe due to the apps you are using. You may want to evaluate that and see if greenifying them gives back the ram that you require for multi tasking.
May be switch off animations in developer options to speed up the performance.
If you can live without customizations, which are mostly cosmetic then try slim rom, PA, mainstage or aosp-caf for a trimmed down experience.

You should do compare and contrast on all available roms, that is stable enough to be used as daily driver. We all don't have the same usage in daily lives, we have different apps, which is depends on the user, different battery/performance mods, kernels, power management, etc. Just try LOS, Pixel Experience, etc. and record your power usage and compare it to all and you can determine yourself which one of them is good for you.
Btw. I'm using stock MIUI cuz I don't have problems installing custom kernel, battery mods, and other tweaks.
ROM has little to do in battery life (I agree, a few ROM specific features consume more battery like AOD). It's more Kernel related.
To my experience, stock miui ROM is always the best in terms of smoothness, fluidity and stability. If you feel the battery life is not that good, just grab a custom kernel and flash it through TWRP. You can also debloat useless System apps in order to have better RAM management.
I haven't tested everything, but stock kernel and stock ROM works the best for me. Most stable, best performance, smoothest, best battery(I get 10HRs of SOT). You should re-calibrate battery if you have been flashing many different ROMS.
Thanks guys i am on stock stable miui with sphinx kernel i am happy with it but i want to to try stock aosp that why i ask
For custom rom, you can try crdroid. For me so far thisbrom with default kernel has great battery backup. Manage to get 8h ++ sot starting from 90% battery. I will test more with next battery cycle. Normal usage social media, youtube and so far not try with pubg yet

Best Custom ROM suggestion required for least standby battery drain

Kindly suggest me best ROM that give me best battery life + least standby battery drain.
I am not gamer so speed is not issue but there must be no lag in mobile.
Thanks & regards

Try Paranoid Android. It is based on CAF so you will get best battery life and performance. Else you can try Reloaded OS.
ROM suggestion
If you want best battery backup ROM there are two ROMs which gives at least me best battery backup. First one is Oneplus port ROM specifically euphoria build it has great battery backup and the other one is AOSP based Corvus os. Corvus os has more customizations. Both ROM passes safety net without root permission.
If battery life is only thing you're after then probably LineageOS because its the ROM with least features so less chance of battery drain. Limited features also makes it most stable custom rom available in my experience.
Only downsides are safetynet and lack of features suchas as IR face unlock, scrolling screenshot etc.
