still no sound after update to 3.0.201 - Remix OS for PC

Hi there.. no sound for me in my dell xps 12 9250 even with latest update I heard that the stock android-x86 rc2 supported my sound card so maybe jade didn't update there kernel?
My sound card: realtek high definition audio (sst)

@katana444 don't just say u heard Android-x86 supports your sound card - be sure - check it out by installing it.
On my device sound works from the beginning, but it works either badly or fails few minutes after booting the system.

I have the same audio card on my Lenovo miix 700, and it's not working on the latest RemixOS release, while it is working on Android x86 RC2.
According to Jade developers, they are aware of the issue, not all changes in RC2 have been incorporated yet, hopefully in the next release we will also have audio working.

I want to emphasize to you all that realtek high definition audio (sst) is just a "userfriendly" sound device name. There are dozens if not hundreds of audio chips that carry this one same name, but many require different drivers - because of that, providing just this name can be insufficient. I for instance, I found out online what my audio chip model was. There are many methods to get the proper HW info, but Remix needs a good, neat guide for that.
About differences between Remix and Android-x86 - I agree, these are weird. Logically, I'd thought that Remix has all what Android-x86 + it's own features, but apparently there are differences, the sad fact is that sometimes it's backwards. Developing such project is a big challenge and we should have that in mind - there will be lots of problems and that will persist for some time (probably long) before we reach a stable state.

I installed 104 on virtual box and USB flash drive. In VB the audio setting is:
Host Audio Driver: Windows DirectSound;
Audio Controller: ICH AC97
The sound card works perfectly.
But NO sound when running 104 from the USB flash drive. Any suggestion.
THX!

EU 2000 TV Box Android Mini Pc

Hi everbody,
i bought me an Android Mini Pc on a technic expo:
EU2000 TV BOX Android 4.0 AllWinner A10 1G RAM 8G Built-in 5.0MP Camera And Mic HDMI AV Output with Stand and Wifi.
I dont know if it is allowed to post a shop link, otherway you will find for more details the device on "geekbuying".
I am very satisfied with the device and it works alright. Nevertheless, it has build in camera and lets say a very customized Android 4.0 running. For example also after reseting a spezific Skype Contact is still the main User and not deletable. Also i am sure that fact is because i bought a used one on a expo i would like to flash the device and install a clean rom, exspecially because of the build in camera.
I could not find any thread dealing with this device, so my question if there is anybody there who already has experience with the device or knows a good rom for it and maybe can tell me where to find an installing manuell.
Moreover, i use the device with a airmouse remotecontrol, which also works very well. It works with a USB Dongle i put in in the backside of the device. The Remotcrontroll has on one side a keyboard with a return, and page up and down button and on the other side the main Android Buttons, volume keys and setting keys.
Therfore, i am also afraid the remotecontroll will not work again after flashing the system, or it is using own drivers.
Maybe, anybody has experience with it and can help me. For those who are interested in the device more generally i also will answer your questions.
Thanks and kind regards

[Q]android x86 problems

I know theres lots of guides and questiond asking the same exact thing but none of them worked, i tried asking stackoverflow but no one answered but anyways i aam currently running android x86 4.4 on my internal hard drive and the sound doesnt work, if i put in a live cd the sound works just fine but when i switch back to android the sound no longer works the headphones also dont make anysound but thats for any operating system and if it does make a sound its only through the left headphone and last thing is that it keeps sying low memory with over 35 mb and i know there should be A LOT more than that so is there anyway to add more space without a flashdrive or sd card inserted all the rime, i can use my whole hard drive because android x86 is the only os i have on it

Asus Transformer Book T100 (2 Issues)

Hello.
I managed to install RemixOS in my Asus Transformer Book T100TAM, and so far I'm loving it.
But I can't get the touchscreen to work, any hints?
Also, I'd like to turn off the option to tap-to-click, because I keep clicking accidentaly. Is it possible?
Thanks in advance.
It seems that the touchscreen driver doesn't work or is not there. Android-x86 build works fine with touch as far as I remember.
I have one question for you:
Do internal speakers disable automatically when you connect the headphones into the audio input?
The internal speaker doesn't disable when I plug headphones.
If you need anything tested for this particular model, please ask me.
An update on my issue: I reinstalled Remix OS, and at first boot the touchscreen works OK. After a reboot, it never works again.
Don't know if it's relevant, but I used this tool to install Remix OS:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/winapp-android-x86-installer-uefi-t3222483
Had to use the tool because this PC doesn't have Legacy Boot, and it has 32 bit only UEFI.
Another thing: the camera LED notification light (a dot that only lights up when the camera is in use) is always on.

REMIX OS Sound/Audio fix

This is a major issue for Remix and I am yet to see a thread here to address the problem.
post here if you have no sound but everything else works for the most part and please include your pc model and hardware.
Also post with any success, ideas or to get this working and we can hopfully post the solution in this OP upon success.
From what I understand the linux kernal used has the sound routed incorrectly I have read there might be a way to edit the grub.config for a fix.
come on guys and gals I have a great deal of faith in XDA and the powers that be, we can do this
I want to also include my boot errors which I'm sure is the audio issue also
Computer have sound but when i use hdmi i have no sound... when i plugg in headphones i have a buzzing sound.
I don't have sound via HDMI port, from soundcard I have, unfortunately there is no option to choose sound output
Sent from my HT7 Pro using Tapatalk
I have sound only on HDMI, i want sound on speakers and hearphones, need a way to change the output.
Specs:
Processor: 2x Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G630 @ 2.70GHz
I am not getting any sound, neither through HDMI nor through the sound card on my Gigabyte board. Sound-related dmesg output...
Code:

[ 10.252942] input: HDA Intel Line Out Side as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input12
[ 10.252983] input: HDA Intel Front Headphone as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1b.0/sound/card0/input13
It's weird that it says input instead of output, but maybe that is normal? I have no idea.
Here is the fix if remix os team can apply it
https://github.com/burzumishi/linux-baytrail-flexx10/issues/7
By the way for those who don't know you can get sound on remix os and android x86 using a USB sound device exe. USB headset, usb to 3.5 adapter, etc.
This is due to the bug routing the sound only to usb the rest are mixed up/out of order
The problem is that the irqs in the dsdt are not how the kernel expects them (as per http://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2015-July/094627.html)
Hey guys, I have sound through HDMI but the image sees very wide, missing a third of image on the screen (right side) why could be?

downloaded versio, even though labelled v207 in fact installs 206, then 207 comes as OTA but does not install properly, after reboot screen is magnified and frozen.
Issues as well over HDMI. Only way i can get it working is to boot into RemixOS, pull up the power menu and put it to sleep. Then upon waking up the souns magically works.weird issue, would love to see it fixed asap.

Chromebook Pixel 2013 with Acer r11 Software Issues

So I finally have Android Apps working on the Chromebook Pixel 2013. It was an easy matter installing the R11 firmware. The issues I am facing have to do with the sound. It plays sound, although the volume does not seem to work as it should. It only really changes when I set it to either mute or on at full volume.
Also, there seems to be an issue with the headphones. I need to go into the Alsamixer and unmute the channels. The issue is I can not save this setting (tried the normal Linux way with no success) so when ever the comp is restart have to go back into the Alsa mixer. It is not a major issue, but it is one thing keeping it from being flawless.
The only other thing is the mouse pointer in android apps is very small. I am thinking this has to do with the way Android is rendered on Chrome OS and the resolution of the screen, so not sure if there is any way of fixing it, but thought it I would bring it up. Beyond that, if anyone has a Chromebook Pixel and wants Android apps, the process is easy. If anyone needs me to outline the full process, just let me know! The Chromebook Pixel 2013 is far from dead, and still one of the most stunning laptops you can buy!
I'll probably be doing this myself shortly. I'll investigate the audio issues and alsamixer. I assume this is you? https://www.reddit.com/r/chromeos/c...pixel_2013_but_now/?ref=share&ref_source=link
Thanks,
Michael
Did you ever get this working? I've tried and after installing the R11 firmware it won't boot.
How do you install the firmware?
