Gear Fit Won't Charge - Samsung Gear Fit

Good day! I got a problem with my Gear Fit as it won't charge. When I checked the back of Gear Fit I noticed those 5 tiny metallic thing and one of it had scratched off, maybe this is the reason why it won't charge. Anyone knows a workaround for this?

Wireless Charging W/ Lifeproof case ..help needed

Hello everyone I wanted to share my experience with a wireless charging pad and a lifeproof case. I purchased the Nuud lifeproof case a while back and ended up having to replace it due to the charging door that snaps closed started breaking. I figured a way to prevent me from opening that little snap door is to go with wireless charging.
I purchased the wireless charging reciever card and the oem charging pad off amazon. Much to my disappoint me the case was too thick for the wireless charge to continually work. It recognizes that its on the pad but would act as if I were plugging and unplugging a power cord every 2 seconds. So I tried to come up with ways to reduce the surface area between my card and the charger pad. I removed the stickers which ended up not being enough but then came up with the idea to remove the top cover of the oem charging pad. Removing this plastic seems like it was just enough to get it to work correctly. The only problem I see now is the phone is actually sitting on top of the coil which brings up some heat issues.
I'm thinking of sewing together some fabric to act as a cover. What do you guys think about this?
BUMP - I have a very thick ballistics case. I am wondering if a solution like this would work for me as well.

I doubt my case is as thick as yours stein but it is working correctly once I removed the plastic cover on the charger pad. Not sure if you have all the items yet but you can find them on amazon for probably around 60 bucks.
Wireless Charging is working fine for me with my Otterbox Defender case and an Incipio Ghost 100 Wireless Charging Base. I'm using a cheap China QI antenna receiver that I got on eBay.

Try moving the phone slightly on the charging pad.
I don't have the factory pad but on both of my qui charging pads the phone needs to be placed slightly above center. If I put it directly on the center I experienced the same symptoms you are describing.

Case that will fit over OEM Wireless charging cover

I got the Tylt-Vu wireless charging Dock and the OEM Samsung Charging back cover for xmas. They work AWESOME together, but my I-Blason cover now does not want to fit so well on my Note 3. Does anyone know of a descent cover/protector that will fit on the Note 3 with the OEM Charging back cover?

I use and like the Diztronic TPU cover. On Amazon, they offer it in a matte black, and a clear gloss. My post count is too low to post outside links here, but just search for "note 3 diztronic". Both will show up.
It fits nicely with the OEM charging battery cover.
I used the same (appropriate version) case for my Motorola Photon for 2 years, and loved it. Super durable, goes in and out of pockets easily, doesn't collect dust like silicone, and has excellent finger grip on a glossy smooth texture. That said, the gloss has better finger grip than the matte finish (though this seems counter-intuitive) in my hands. I use the clear gloss on my black note 3 and it gives it a raw aluminum color. I have seen the clear on white, and it looks white.
For under $10, it is hard to argue with.

This one? How good is the fit. I've been searching high and low for one that fits this backplate
Diztronic Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Retail Packaging by Diztronic http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F3KP156/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_F-g2sb15G76CQ
I see you got it!

I'm still looking into the wireless charging stuff but, what about the wireless charging piece you just put under your current back cover? Here's an example, maybe not this specific one but you'' get the idea.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NFC-Qi-Wire...S_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item485d5799cf
I mean if it fits under your current cover it should be able to use any case correct?
Yes that good as well its just more convenient and consistent with the OEM backplate. I also have that one but I purchaed the techmatte one.
I go through 2 batteries a day so switching the battery and having to pull and reset the charging receiver was annoying.

Being serious here... but,
How in the hell do you go through 2 batteries in a day? I am still on the stock ROM Rooted with TWRP and just the bloat frozen in TiBu and i get about 10-11 hours of on screen time a day on my note 3 stock battery. I will surf the web for about 1.5 to 2 hours a day, watch my slingbox for up to 4 hours maybe 30-45 min of YouTube a day and maybe a couple hours of music. I go home with 35-40% battery. I don't use WiFi until I'm home.
Now granted i restrict data on most things in the data usage area and only sync email once an hour and i turn off location services unless i need them. I also manually update my contacts (just when i add a new contact) but i still put my phone through the ringer so to speak and can't kill it yet.

I use maps for atleast 4 hours a day at work. You cripple your data usage half the time and your bragging?
Has anybody tried it with a UAG case?

No not bragging. Just explaining my setup. Maps will kill the battery yeah but 4 hours a day is ton, but why not just plug in? Also, I use my location when I need it. Some days it's on all the time most it's not. Why let it waste battery if not needing it.
I just don't like my phone draining if I'm not using services. I use NFC tags so when I need stuff I tap the tag and it toggles my services?
But that's cool I was just wondering what you did to use that much battery. I was just thinking 4 hours or more of video streaming would equal the maps usage but maybe not.

I agree that map use can really drain you fast. That was the primary thing that got me used to using a car dock. Not sure if you saw my build thread, but since we have the same phone, OEM cover, and case, along with similar usage, you might want to check it out. It will certainly work for you if you don't already have something that will work to keep you charged while using NAV features. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49542102&postcount=224

The Spigen Bounce case fit over the charging back?
Subscribing. I tried one of those stick on wireless charging receivers. It was finicky to use with a case on and quite working after only a couple of months. Got the new back yesterday. Now I just need a case that will fit.
I use the Tech21 case. It's snug and you have to work it a little but once on premium protection. I'm referring to the soft plastic. I have blue, smoke, and clear.

The bounce will not fit. Tried it in-store with the help of a customer rep. The bounce is made perfectly for the phone and the bulge on the charging cover is too big for this particular case.
Since I'm in Europe and have to go thru a different Amazon or ebay, I was not able to find the diztronic case here. So anyone has anyone else found a similar one?

[Q] Help finding my ideal case for the Z Ultra

Hello,
My Z Ultra should be arriving later this week. For my previous phone (a Samsung Galaxy Note 2), I had the following case/holster combination...
http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1G8FDQ
I would really like to have a similar case for my Z Ultra, but have been unable to locate one myself. If you have seen one somewhere, please let me know.
Regards,
Judging by the lack of response, I am assuming that such a case does not exist for the Z Ultra. I guess I will have to get a friend of mine with a 3d printer to make a custom holster for me. Since I will be doing that, I may as well go with one of the cases with a built in battery for the phone side of the set. Anyone know of a 3rd party one that can be charged using the magnetic connector? I know the Sony CP12 case can, but I am not willing to pay that kind of money.
Regards,
Hi.. did you checked for the Brando SPOJA000600? You can find it on Amazon and i'm still deciding to buy it or not.

I have looked at it, and the case is charged via Micro USB.
I broke down and ordered a battery case that charges via micro USB from http://www.ebay.com/itm/151426250654
I just received it last night, and while it is not my idea of the perfect case, it does feel very sturdy and well built. My phone fits in it nice & secure, yet is easy to remove when I want to. There was no manual included with the case, although the box it came in did say it had a 5v 800ma input and 5v 500ma output. Based on this, I assume the case can trickle charge while passing power through to the phone. I will test this in the next couple of days, once I have drained both the battery on the case & on the phone a bit.
Update: Less than 24 hours after I put the case on my phone, the case suddenly started feeling warm to the touch and its charging light turned on (even though it was not plugged in to anything). Shortly after that, I was able to smell burnt plastic coming from the micro USB opening on the case. Based on this, I definitely do NOT recommend this case.
Regards,

[Q] Official wireless backplate + what case?

I can't find which case I should buy for my phone when using the wireless charging back cover. Does anyone have any good recommendations?
I thought I would go ahead and answer my own question. For those who are interested in having some kind of case with the Galaxy Alpha and who also want the wireless charging backplate, I am here to confirm that the Spigen Neo Hybrid case for the Galaxy Alpha does fit with the official Samsung backplace and it does charge. The fit is snug however, the lip does cover it as if there was no extra thickness. I have three other covers from Korea and they all aren't able to cover the phone with the wireless charging backplate. I am glad that it works.
For those who never used this brand of cases, make sure to leave on the plastic ring part and don't try to do it in two stages. I thought I had to put the rubber part on and then the ring, however, if you do that, you will most likely break the ring. Instead, just put the phone in the case all at once.
will the official extended battery work with this ?
No, I don't think so. The extended battery requires a special modified case because the battery is too fat and the official charger plate requires the regular battery, as there is no room for a bigger battery. However, in this case, I would recommend getting one of those internal pieces that you can put between the battery and the cover and attach it to the right spot, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Alpha-SlimPWRcard-Receiver-Samsung-integrated/dp/B00QMIM6EM
I have never used it, but I assume it would work. The only reason why it might not is if it isn't long enough to go over the bigger battery, but I'd say it is worth a try. Qi wireless charging is fantastic! I am going to build one into a desk I bought at the thrift store.

Gear fit 2 tiny mark in bezel

Hi!
Just got my Gear fit 2 but it had a mark in the bezel upon delivery. Its very tiny, so tiny that I don't know if I can make myself to complain about it. But then again it should be perfect from factory.
Should I return it?
Br J
I have also (many) tiny mark on the bezel just some days after using my new Gear Fit 2. I also see the same mark on picture from a review in the web. So I think that this time Samsung has made a very low quality metal for the Gear Fit 2.
The bezel is easily scratchable, so you can return but I think you have same mark even with a new Fit2 few time after wearing it
I have none issue on my Gear Fit 1 or Gear 1 or Gear 2 or Gear S after more than one year, so I am not a watch breaker
