For those of us who hate the over saturated color of the Nexus 6P, and got the sRGB mode turned on, I have bad news. I'm testing the latest Nougat, and I found that the setting resets with every reboot. Only a mild inconvenience, but I wish there was a way of making it permanent. Are you guys experiencing the same?

I've been experiencing this issue on Marshmallow too. I just got used to turning it on after a reboot. Then again, I rarely reboot these days. AFAIK, there's no solution.

Yes I'm experiencing the same thing but it's not a new "bug" for me. Ever since I got the phone on Marshmallow it's been doing this.
Been happening ever since I got the phone on release, nothing new. Was happening during N beta as well, have reported it several times in both M and N but they don't seem to care.
Can it be set to auto start with tasker?

With Android 6 I didn't have the same problem, after updating to 7.0 yesterday night yes...I can confirm it resets after the reboot hope someone can find a solution...

Strange. It sRGB resets for me even in M. I thought this was a default behaviour. It's never stuck for me since I purchased the phone since last nov

I didn't have the problem with Marshmallow but anyway there was a method to avoid it (not using secure boot), this method here with 7.0 doesn't work - I tried that too.
It was like this before, it's not a bug actually, just standard behaviour.

Not it wasn't for me and many others. I didn't have the same problem before.
I read somewhere that was related to the fact that the phone is encrypted. If you don't use secure boot then that sticks. That was the same in Marshmallow.
Even unencrypted it has never stuck for me.
It sticks, just don't open the developer options everytime you reboot otherwise it will be reset.

This worked for me on Marshmallow, but not now on Nougat.
I don't know if I did anything to fix this in marshmallow. But I had no problem with sRGB on M. Ever since I got Nougat, it's back to Developers Options after every dang boot. It's getting old. I just installed the September update and it's not been fixed.

I've had to do this since I got the phone when it was released so I'm used to it. I didn't even realize that some people were actually getting the setting to stick after reboots on Marshmallow.
Why is it so hard for Google to just release screen profiles ? :/ Let us have the option tucked under display options !

Hi people. I'm really new to rooting and I have a note sgh i717m. It's with bell but the root worked. The CM 10.1.2 Rom I installed keeps giving me problems. My phone runs fine for a while then the screen will start to get all fuzzy. ( like a bad cable connection or something) then it will go orange and die. I tried installing the lower stable edition cm 10.1 and it worked for a while but it came back. Any suggestions. I'm frustrated and feel like going back to crummy touch wiz just to get rid of this problem

Have you tried disabling HW Overlays in Developer Options?
In case you didn't know, the Developer options are disabled. However you can bring them back by doing the following:
Go to System Settings -> About Phone
Start tapping on the Build number for a few times and the developer options will be enabled. I know it's kind of silly but it's an easteregg
Completely forgot about that!
It didn't work the problem persisted. One thing I noticed is when I change the wallpaper the problem temporaraly goes away. Thanks for your guys efforts

Ya, I just came to that realization. I've done a little research on it and I think its because the rom isn't perfect for my phone yet, and that this thing uses GPU instead of CPU so it uses more battery. Also that it makes my phone choppy but in the end its the lesser of two evils
So i have this problem that my devices after it sleeps for a while disconnectis from wifi and says authentication problem. I just have to manually reconnect to my wifi. Are others having this issue, or know the fix?
I have this as well usually have to reboot to fix it though

Yes and no. If the problem is a third party app, factory reset won't fix it, unless you restore as new and don't reinstall any apps. Safe mode will at least let you see if it's a third party app although you won't be able to do a lot with the tablet while it's in safe mode. Just email, youtube, etc.
But if it's happening every time the tablet sleeps - mine's not, just about once a week or so - you only need to let it sleep in safe mode and wake it back up to see if it's a third party app.

Some of the posts were wifi not working at all, some were after sleep. Either way, it looked like it worked for me for a couple of days, but this morning it was disconnected.
TiBackup ran last night, and it was supposed to sync to the cloud. It errored out with a connectivity problem. Thinking back, I believe the last time it dropped was on a scheduled backup day. I'm not certain, though.
Did you try safe mode, and if so, did it help at all?

So i did safe mode for 24 hours and that fixed it.
So i did a factory reset, and that appears to have fixed it also.
Not sure what app broke it. I had no crazy app installed a few games tapatalk titanium. etc.
WEIRD!
But thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Well, at least with Lollipop it's easier to rebuild from a factory reset. Guess I'll have to do that too.
BTW, unlike my N7 and S5, I have a fairly minimal install on the N9. All mainstream stuff, and only about half the app count of the other devices.
I had an Xperia Z, on 5.0 and had issues with phone restarting when data was on/locked.
Once I got 5.1.1 on it, the issue went away. Now my M4aqua does the same thing on 5.0
Do you think it will be updated by end of year? Heard something about that.
Also the issue only happens in a certain place, I need to be in for a while. Kind of annoying that only happens in one place.
Also I have the "E2306" model. What version do I flash via flashtool to get firmware updates and keep lte. Flashtool has a bunch of different versions.
I think it will come in 2016

I can have the phone on and be using it normally.
I lock it and put in my pocket.
When I go to take it out sometimes it will be at boot-up screen or it will be at home screen.(since it restarted itself)
Get pretty hot too.
Weird thing is that it only happens in this specific location.
I can have data on all day and have no heat or restarting issues.
My guess is that i'm a little too far away from tower and data goes crazy?
It's fixed on 5.1.1
Does anyone have this screen bug happens a few time a day? If so what is it?

I personally haven't had this problem, but it might be a screen update glitch. What are you doing when this happens?

I lock and unlock screen. Its seems to happen when the edge clock becomes active while i have apps running.
Never had that happen either. I even tried to duplicate what you said and it didn't happen. Of course the most obvious answer is a full reset. Of just wait a few weeks till we get marshmallow and then do the factory reset and see how it goes.

You didn't hear? Someone called Verizon and asked when the marshmallow update was coming out and they said to expect it in the third quarter of the year. We'll have to wait quite a long time before we get the update. Anyways, OP , doing a factory reset, like what the QP says, will most likely fix your problem.

No but if I were u I'd take it into verizon that appears to be a bad connection or all together a bad lcd screen

It could be that, but OP could just backup everything on their phone and try a factory reset before they make a trip over to Verizon for a replacement. It could always be an app that they have installed that's causing the problem.

Yeah I've tried manually updating. This seems ridiculous that I still haven't received the update; and I'd prefer not to root the phone...
Yes. No update for me either. I heard it's possible the date your imei was activated could impact your update. I activated mine on Feb 14th.

Temporarly on Hold.
T-Mobile stopped the OTA Oreo update right now for Note 8. This is due to problems with this update. Samsung and Google are working on a fix. Once they fixed the problems then they will resume OTA Oreo update for the Note 8.
I posted this in another thread days ago. If you have questions or you feel there is no problem, since you didn't have any problems this far, then read my post on the other thread.

I charge my phone using the 2.0 amp wireless charger (I have a few scattered around) and I haven't noticed ANY heat change. In fact, I'd say the phone is cooler if anything. When I tried to update to Oreo by connecting to the computer (Smartswitch), I got Error 807******(don't remember) repeatedly, so I gave up and updated OTA.
I got tired of waiting and updated to Oreo via Odin. Haven't noticed any major issues.
I think T-Mobile stopped the OTA update because of battery life. I received the update on April 2nd and battery life is pretty bad for me. I only get 3Hrs 45min screen on time. Deleted a lot of apps that I don't use but didn't help much only get 4hrs screen on time. I also had to turn off Always on Display which I hate to do because I was use to looking at the screen without unlocking the phone.
