My Xperia z2 stopped Working suddeny and from where i can tell it is most probably due to damaged bootloader.
Currently:-
the phn gets stucks at sony logo(freezes), flashmode turns green led but not detected by my pc(unknown device), and fastboot works fine and is detected by my pllc.
NO ercovery or other window opening.
So if anyone could tell me how to repair a damaged bootloader?
use Flashtool
Make sure you have all the nessecary drivers downloaded, as usually this is the cause of device not being detected, and as suggested try flashtool with your appropriate firmware, it should put all things back to place unless its corrupt in some other way ( unlikely).

okey i unlocked the bootloade with this tut: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225 then i had "no service" on my phone (i think beacuse i used the msm7227_Setool2.cmd). first i thought it might be an problme with the software so i installed MiniCM7-2.1.3 because the bootloader was unlocked. but htat didnt fix it. but now i accidentally flashed it with the stock kernel. it wont boot and it wont go into flashmode. so can you plz give me any suggestions how to solve this problem? thanks!

have you tried pc companion and update service it may get your phone working.
yes but it says i have to activate the usb on it to connect/use it with pc companion. and as i doesnt boot, i cant do this.
Have you tried se update service as you say your phone is not booting.
If update service can't do the magic then you will have to go for flashing tool ....
i cant get into flashmode (when the green led is on). so update service and pc companion dont detect it
now use flashtool and follow all the instruction on this link below

okey im desperate here, maybe you posted a wrong link or what ever. i tried to flash with flashtool. i even created a bundle. but is still not recognising it in flash mode.
okey solved it
took the battery cable out pushed the back button and put the cable back in place then i plugged the usb cable in and it wet into flashmode
finally i just relocked my bootloader with s1tool

Hi, so..here's the problem. I've tried to flash my tablet with a 307 firmware, mine was 253.
now i downloaded Flashtool, Downloaded the firmware. done everything the way it meant to be.
and then in the middle of the execution it said something about failure and stopped.
now my tablet won't boot.
When ever i try to boot it, it just shows the Sony logo and dies.
and when i hold the volume down and connect USB the green led light is there just for a split second.
but the volume up and connecting USB shows the blue with no issues.
any chance anyone can help me ?
Edit : I Understand now that those things are normal. the problem is that no software would recognize that the device is in flash mode or fast boot mode.
With that I do need help.-

It's been few days..
have you unlocked the bootloader to do your root or did you just go straight ahead to root your XTZ? either way is fine as the root tool kit by doomlord works both ways.
make sure your tablet is charged. did you use the flash tool by bin4ry and androxyde? you can also download sony software emma (if you've unlocked your bootloader)which will restore your tablet to manafacturer default. or just use sony pc companion software if you havent unlocked the bootloader this will work too.
the fact that the sony logo still appears on your tab at least shows its not bricked, ive had my fair share of thinking i'd bricked my tablet but if you've done your research you'll find you can get it back to working order.

I have exhausted every method I can find. Fastboot seems to be broken. Fastboot and Flashtool both do not detect the device when it shows BlueLED(fastboot). PC Companion doesn't detect at all.
Flash Mode seems to be working. It seemed like it was flashing, progress bar and everything. When it was done it said for FLASHTOOL, the phone has to have usb debugging and unknown sources checked. Being that I am bricked, there is no proper system installed .
In FLASHTOOL & EMMA unlock bootloader doesn't work. I got the code for it to do in FASTBOOT or keypad but neither are accessible.
I believe I flashed a recovery for the wrong xperia model =/
Are there any other potential solutions?
Hello friends, i have a problem with an old Sony LT18i from a cousin, he brought it to me because he has the China Mobile variant with no GApps and android version was 2.3.4, i thought it might be solved with a simple flash via FLashtool, but when i've completed the downloading of the ftf file and went to flashtool to flash it, when the flashtool ask me to put it in flashmode pressing the back button and connecting to usb the phone led only blinks of 0.5 sec and then boots into normal mode.
Tried the same with fastboot and then i got the same blink for 0.5s with no detection at all. That surprised me as well i've have flashed succesfully other Xperia devices with no problems of led blinks at all. Now my problem is that later i tried to root the phone and installing CWM to flash another ROM or GApps package, and when i finished to install the recovery now the phone is bootlooping and never gets to boot normally.
I've tried with 4SE dongle to flash it via Testpoint and it doesn't work as the phone manufacture model is 12W13 (new security) which the dongle doesn't support, tried with S1 Tool with version 28II215 and 080714 and i only get PHONE NOT SUPPORTED IN THIS MODE when i try to flash and when trying to unlock the bootloader it gives me NOT SUPPORTED MCU REVISION.
The phone was working well until the CWM installation except for the flashmode and fastboot mode, now i really need to flash it and i can't find a way to do it, i also have RIFF JTAG and Z3X Easy JTAG box but no JTAG available for this model except for Medusa Box which only supports phones with manufacture date less than 12W10, i was wondering if there´s a way to access via QHUSB_DLOAD mode doing the testpoint to manually flash partitions to device or something like that. If you might have a workaround or a solution to at least let the phone in the way it was it will help me a lot. Thanks in advance, sorry if my english isn't so great.
So my mothers xperia z5 compact have gone totaly bricked after making a software update and i can't find a way to fix it in anymay. It bootloops and after the white sony logo it shows a dead android with the message "Fel" (Wrong in swedish) and and just continue in a cirle like that. I can't seem to get into either recovery or fastboot tried with adb/fastboot with the computer still can't acces it, neither sony companion recognice it. Anyone can maybe have a solution will make a big help here because i'm totaly out of ideas to fix this.

Hold volume down and insert a USB that is already connected to your pc, release when power LED turns green
In Emma chose an service and click Apply Service
This will download and install it to the phone.

I also bricked my phone. Tried flashing a generic TFT in Flashmode via the Flashtool, and it seemed to go through.
But now, it shows "Update failed, please connect your computer" logo when I try to boot it.
I had previous tried mucking around in fastboot mode trying to flash Lineage.
I may have accidentally messed up my boot.img. If so, which one will I need to flash, and how to go about doing it?
