SOLVED- Tried almost everything but can't unlock bootloader ! Stuck at 50% - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
I am unable to unlock bootloader . Have got permission way back on 28th June 2016 but still stuck at 50% couldn't verify device error! Please help.
My mi account- 344045672
Device- redmi note 3 32GB qualcomm
MIUI version- 6.8.18 Global beta

Using MIUI unlock tool- 1.1.0317.1_en . And i am on windows 7 64 bit.
Tried removing and adding device both on mi cloud and my phone. Find device is showing device online , tried disabling driver enforcement signature as well. Also tried china as well as en Mi Unlock tools .
Nothing is working.

It only shows to download unlock tool . It shows that i have permission to unlock already!

It kept getting stuck at 50% for me as well. I'm not sure if this is what made it work, but I flashed the developer ROM and after that was able to unlock. May have been something else I did, though.
I guess you already enabled developer options and turned on OEM unlock? I don't know if it's required, I remember reading it.

Send email which you have mentioned in OP on [email protected] They will rectify the problem their DB and then you can unlock successfully

Or go the unofficial way. Its almost the same.

Same issue with me. I opted for unlock bootloader via unofficial method. Everything is working great now.

Well I also got the near same reply. But the fact is that on second day I unlocked bootloader successfully after getting email reply.

You, me and thousands other have exactly the same problem (see MIUI forums) and Xiaomi isn't resolving the issue from their side. They should fix this database mismatch error. It's very annoying. I've tried almost everything but to no avail. Today, I have sent them an email. Let's see what happens.

You will need to flash China developer ROM from official web site

First - confirm that you have got message to unlock boot loader
Second -download latest developer ROM for redmi note 3 place it to downloaded_rom folder in internal storage
Third - go to updater app then press menu option choose update package of downloaded developer rom zip it will show prompt that this will wipe data accept it
Fourth - after update while setting up setup wizard mi account should say that this account has unlock permission then compete setup and reboot to fastboot
Then try to unlock device
This method worked for me

Hi,
I would suggest wait 1 week and then try unlocking. Do not try to unlock in between.
I faced the same issue and then I gave up.
After a week I tried unlocking and it worked.

Can vouch for this. Do this. I did exactly the same thing. Also you can try to install Mi Flash, Mi PC suite and all the related drivers just to be sure. Also be sure to try the i.mi.com trick.

Was also given the same reply by xiaomi. But coincidentally i was also able to unlock on the second day after getting their reply.

Yeah, interesting thing is that whatever they reply, ignore it. On second day we are lucky to unlock bootloader. It seems it is not a co-incidence as this worked with 3 users, you, me and another one who suggested this.

from my experience.. use Chinese version of unlock tool.
English version doesn't work for me.

So you were on which rom when u unlocked the bootloader? Also u used English version of mi unlock and phone number to login when you successfully unlocked?

I was on global veta v6.8.18.
I used English version of Mi Unlock Tool.
Same mobile number used to log in both Phone and Mi Unlock Tool.
