Anyone know about any custom room or kernel or recovery that works on Asus Live (G500TG / Z00YD) ?
I searched everywhere and didn't found anything custom for this model.
Please help.
I need recovery image of this model. Could you provide me a copy of your recovery?

I'm using all stock.
You can get it from http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/G500TG/UL-G500TG_ASUS_Z00YD-WW-12.0.0.41-user.zip
I didn't find a recovery image within that file. The only thing I can access is fastboot. My recovery is broken, my system doesn't boot (bootloop). :crying: :crying:
personal HELLO I also need recovery.img Asus Live (G500TG) Z00YD
I've managed to extract the system files (and kernel) from the zip, but no luck in flashing it back using fastboot. I think the problem is in the conversion from raw image to sparse (that fastboot uses).
To extract system raw ext4 partition from zip:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...-conver-lollipop-dat-files-to-t2978952/page11
To unpack boot.img:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=443994
The idea now is trying to boot from a ramdisk in the pc, to start adb service.
Guys, I figured out how to reverse the situation of hard brick.
1) First you need to download the kernel source code on the asus website. The file name is: ASUS Live (G500TG) Kernel Code (V12.0.0.26). Here is:
http :// dlcdnet.asus .com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/G500TG/G500TG_Kernel_V12_0_0_26.zip?_ga=1.213911127.1348745149.1467264204
Inside it there are the images of all partitions, including scatter file.
2) You will need to download a program called SP Flash tool. Here: http :// spflashtool .com/. I'm currently using v5.1628
3) Open the tool flash sp as administrator (on Windows) or administrator privileges (using sudo on linux).
4) Extract the downloaded file and select the scatter file in sp flash tool.
5) Select download only.
6) Leave the phone without the battery for 30 seconds before connecting it to your computer. Put the battery again. Holding the - button (lower volume) connect it to the computer. Wait a bit and release the button. Click download in flash tool sp.
7) Wait until all the transfer is completed. After finishing connect the phone and put it to charge on power supply.
no select format+download, possible DTV problem in upgrade for new version

I don't get it, Where i put the extracted folder from the kernel source?
You need to extract the G500TG_Kernel_V12_0_0_26_zip.zip file and with the SP Flash Tool point to the scatter file inside the extracted folder. It will load all the partitions you just extracted.

6. Press Download and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
7. The process will start and a red progress bar will appear. After the red progress bar is complete, there will appear a purple progress bar. When the yellow bar is complete, you'll get a popup with a green circle and Download OK message,

2. Copy superuser.zip or SuperSU on your SDCARD.
3. Disconnect your phone from PC.
4. Extract files from TWRP 2.7.1.1 archive on some folder on your PC.(Remember the folder )
5. In your folder that you extracted your archive you should find recovery.img and one scatter file.

7. Power Off your phone.
8. After power off your phone open FlahTool and browse for the scatter file your folder where are the recovery.img and scatter file.
9. Now comes the tricky part .
10. Load the scatter file and mark DA DL with check sum. Recovery.img should appear checked.
10.1. I have updated the post with some custom scatter files for 4GB and 8GB Firmware. Iff you get diferent errors when you flash the recovery file use this custom scatter files.
11. Press Download NOT FIRMWARE UPGRADE.
12. Now, just now plug the cabble on your phone. Download should start and a green circle should appear.
13. After this you should have custom recovery TWRP installed.
14. Then boot directly to recovery your phone by pressing power with vol + and vol - butons together. Not Optional!
15. From TWRP flash Superuser.zip or SuperSU 2.45. SuperSU is fixed. Works fine now.
16. Voila you have your KitKat rooted.
17. Now go to Magazin Play and download an RootChecker app and verify.

GREAT NEWS I MANAGED TO GET ROOT WITHOUT UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER ALL YOU NEED IS TO
1.download your firmware and extract it
2.extract the boot.img from the firmware and put it on your phone REMEMBER WHERE YOU PUT IT SINCE YOU WILL NEED THIS!
3download magiskmanager install it and open it.
4click install and choose the boot.img it will install magisk into it
5.put it back in your firmware folder on your pc
6 look for a file that says Checksum_gen and run it
7 once that completes use spflash tool and load your scatterfile and flash JUST THE BOOT.IMG wait for the reboot and you have root!
THANK YOU DEVELOPERS OF MAGISKMANAGER!
Hi.
I wrote problems with my wife's P9000 here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72990392&postcount=14
And yes: no solution works. And either there is no stock recovery or this device can't find them.
I offer 50 Euro for help. My goal: to install custom recovery (most TWRP), install custom ROM (some stable version of Marshmallow) and root it.
I tried about 6 hours and I have had enough.
Except that I will be appreciate.

One of the official ota p9000 updates has a corrupt recovery. This is why you can't get into the recovery and why the official update fails all the time. (I think).
About the flashing part with sp flashtools. You need to install those mtk drivers with the driver signature turned off in Windows. Otherwise those drivers can not be installed on you pc and flashing your phone can't be done. Just search Google for how to disable driver signature for your Windows version.
About the part of making a scatter file. You do not need to make a scatter file. It is included in Roms that have a scatter file with them (the roms that are ment to be flashed with sp flashtools).
If you want to flash a custom recovery with sp flashtools. You load the scatter file of a stock ROM and make sure, in the download screen of sp flashtools, the location points to the custom recovery .img file. And make sure there is a check mark on the left of the row for the recovery. Otherwise sp flashtools will simply skip that part with flashing.
If you want to install a custom ROM without spflashtool. You need a custom recovery and flash it via the recovery.
I hope I helped you enough. Because this how it works for me every time on every mtk phone (that I owned). I do not want your €50

Hi, Just a couple of questions.
When did you get the P9000?
What version of Windows?
Things to download
I recommend you install the 20170112 (store on computer)here
Extract the RAR file, it is contained in a folder, no need to extract in a new folder.
Super SU root (store on phone, SD card preferred) here
And TWRP 3.0.2-8 from Jonny (store on computer)here
Go to Device Manager.
View - Show Hidden Devices
If you see MTK Preloader VCOM
or MTK USB Device, that's good. More MTK xxxxx the better.
Open SP Flash Tool
Load the scatter file from the load button. 3rd row down. Go to the Extracted RAR file and select MT6755_Scatter.txt.
Then press the recovery file location name (C: USER ........ recovery.img) and navigate to the
TWRP 3.0.2-8.img and select that.
Now Press the Download (green down arrow) button and then use the stock cable and connect to a USB 2.0 port, then while pressing the volume up button, on the P9000, connect the phone to the other end of the cable.
A Red bar down the bottom saying Download DA 100% should appear and then a yellow bar and some percentage, which will take 5 or so minutes to go all yellow then a big green tick on a pop up should appear and it's done!
Then go to recovery which is Volume Up and Power at the same time untill the ELE logo appears. When it appears release the buttons. Swipe the allow modifications and then press the install button, navigate to the SuperSu.zip by Select storage if you have an SD CARD, otherwise it will probably be in the Download folder. Swipe to install, wipe cache and dalvik, swipe and reboot system. Hope that works any questions just ask. Sincerely, X

Thank You! Thanks to You I installed TWRP. Rest is easier.
You show me to install ANY MTK device and P9000 can be on. And You show me precisely that I should change the destination point for TWRP (so not default but the .img file).
And that was important for me. And thanks to You I did it.
Thank You.
Please write to me in private message Your account number or PayPal.

Hi Poco x3 gt brick please help me!
Copied from another post, works for me
Hello! (Read it fully)
I had the same problem, but i finally got it. First download the 12.5.7.0 rom from this page (Fastboot rom)
Xiaomi Poco X3 GT (chopin) Stock Firmware Collections
On this page, we will share all the latest Xiaomi Poco X3 GT (codenamed chopin) firmware flash files. To flash the firmware file, you need Xiaomi Mi Flash
www.getdroidtips.com
Then, go to Mi Flash Tool (also download from that page). The version you need is 20210226
Then unzip the rom as many times as it needs, and copy it (the most decompressed folder) to the desktop. Then, launch Mi Flash tool and install the drivers in drivers page. In the right corner you need to select "Clean all". And.... FLASH!
It solved my problem. I had the same as you. If your computer doesn't recognize your device, stay in fastboot 30 minutes and it will turn off automatically (with usb unplugged) or if it says no digest file found, turning off in 5 seconds turn it off.
I hope this can solve your problem.
Edit: Then update the firmware to 12.5.8.0 OTA way. Don't obey people saying stupidities like "Buy a new one". This is a forum, to help people, and if u don't know the solution, DON'T SAY ANYTHING
Bye
download mtk bypass tool and spflashtoll , install mtk preloader driver , open mtk bypass tool and spflash tool , open scatter file from folder image( from unziped fastboot firmware folder), then click disable auth from bypass tool and put the device and hold vol up + vol down , when seccus click download from spflashtool good luck
Welp. here's my take on how i did it.
