I have a galaxy note 7 with kodi on it, is there a way to mirror, stream, or anything like that to watch kodi on my gear s from my note?
lol ...if you install the cm12.1 port you could watch it directly on the watch... might want the charger handy though.

That would be rooting the watch and directly loading kodi on the watch correct?

there's a full android 5.1 port in the dev section, it's not worth flashing this just to watch kodi on a 2 inch screen.
IMO stick with tizen and enjoy the watch.
it's an interesting read the development thread and the dev is very talented, take a look.

These are two things I could never do on my vibrant, so I'm always taking my wifes iphone to do to do them. Will the s2 be capable of this. Dont want an iphone but these are pretty big for me.
My galaxy s could open pdf just fine using think free office, (which came pre installed from samsung) but was also freely available in the market.
The sgs2 comes with polaris office, which works just as well.
Hmmm my problem was emails mostly, I could never open the attachments, does it work for that
Automatically, I click on preview attachment button, it downloads it and then up pops think free to view the attachment.

you click the attachment, it downloads and opens with your pdf viewing app. You can do that with any android phone that supports to app to my knowledge
No Netflix I'm afraid and I doubt it'll be coming any time soon as Qualcomm have it as an exclusive for their snapdragon handsets which is allegedly because of DRM.

This was working a while back but Netflix put a stop to it. The EVO is also a Snapdragon phone.

So, Hulu Plus has been released to specific devices...not including ours.
The APK has been posted here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136634&page=3 ), except that on launch, it notifies us that video playback isn't supported on the device.
Can someone rooted test this out with their build.prop modified to one of the supported devices (see build.prop info here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13952218&postcount=722 ), or can someone more knowledable with APK hacking disable the device checking?
Here are directions to modify the Hulu plus build prop more specifically ...
http://channelandroid.com/2011/06/2...on-an-unsupported-device-needs-root/#comments
Although it looks like it won't work universally.
Looking for this to work as well if anyone could please make it happen I would appreciate it. Thanks!
count me in
this should finalize my transition from ipad to the galaxy tab
Bump for attention.
Great big whopping fail
Changing the build.prop kills the samsung services including the keyboard and several widgets.
and oh yeah, it doesn't get us hulu either.
I tried the solution posted at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182668&highlight=hulu+plus
for the Droid Incredible 2 on my g-tab 8.9, and it works perfectly--EXCEPT that the video is cell-phone-size, takes up about a quarter of the tab's screen. Maybe starting with that, someone could figure out how make it the right size?
Just watch hulu from the browser with the modified flash player. I have been doing that for months now.

I guess some of us who pay for Hulu Plus would just really like the app to work.

Yeah I would like for them to just release it for us as well as take out ads since we pay.
hulu plus?
this method described on this thread doesn't work for hulu plus? I don't see why you even need an app to run hulu plus if your account is hulu plus fied when you logged in.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131417&highlight=hulu&page=23
Let me know if this works. I don't use hulu plus since I don't watch enough hulu to purchase it right now. how ever I see no reason why this wont work for you guys
Come here for the Modded apk that works on any device. Does not require root or messing with any other files. Just install the regular way and off you go.

Did it work?
Allshare Play can only be used for gallery photo's/videos. You will need to use Allshare Cast (if you want to wireless share your screen), which at time of the original annoucement was supposed to work with most Samsung SmartTVs without an additional dongle and with other TVs with the additional dongle - however it now seems that you need to buy an additional dongle regardless.
If you do not mind using a cable to connect to the TV then you'll need an MHL cable that is compatible with the SIII.
i went to shop today and from.settings of s3 i turned on all share, it kept on searching but the samsung smart tv es7500 didn,t give any response, but when i tried to share a pic from gallery through Wi-Fi direct, it worked

Hi,
I can't stream videos to my Samsung smart tv with the galaxy note 2.
However i was able to do this with my Samsung epic 4g touch through the "allshare" app that came with the phone.
I used the “allshare play" app that came with my note 2, but it won't detect my tv.it's basically supposed to detect my tv through the same Wi-Fi network that we're connected to and let me stream videos from my phone.

I just want to be sure, you are using the Allshare Cast dongle correct?
Have you tried updating allshare? They just pushed an update two days ago -

OP shouldn't need the dongle with the Samsung Smart TV it's already built in.

Thanx for the replies! With your information, i was able to look through my phone and try out the file sharing feature. when i turn on file sharing, the tv detects the phone. However, the phone can't detect the tv so that i can push files to the tv.
It is a smart tv and I've done it before with the galaxy s 2, but I'm having no luck with my note 2.
The app is already updated, but it's not detecting the tv. I have a UN55C6500VF.
Also, when i play videos i recorded with my phone, it lags like crazy, but when i play a 720p movie it doesn't lag at all. What the hell?

I posted this same issue in the N7 forum and so far I didn't get an answer. Since I got a Note 1 and it is Samsung, maybe someone already tried it and can share their experience.
I am aware that the AllShare Cast Wireless Hub -- here's a link - http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EAD-T10JDEGSTA
only works in Select S3 devices and all Galaxy Note 2 devices.
Is there a hack to make it work in our Note 1? Or maybe an apk that could make it work?
Thanks!

glad my Samsung led t.v. has that feature built in... don't some of the blue ray with smart app have that all share built in? I use it all the time all share is decent.

Actually my Samsung TV UN46C7000 has Allshare there but NOT Allshare Cast Wireless.
I'm going to check my Samsung Bluray and check maybe it has that feature .. but both my TV and bluray are 2 years old .. I think wireless cast is just this year.
