Hi,
I've received "new" Desire 610 and it seems like the phone does not detect all touch events.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
I've tried performing a factory reset and screen calibration.
Checking touch events in Developer mode seems to confirm that the phone does not detect all of them.
FW 1.53.502.11
I want to know If I should send this phone back ASAP.
Thanks for your help.

a had a htc desire z but the thing had to go back to factory for a problem. I had my old htc hero and used it for a week. but since yesterday I can't use him with my computer anymore.
When I connect to my PC my hero goes into charging himself, but neither on the phone or computer I have the options to use htc sync or diskdrive...
I can't put music on it anymore without the cable as android protects the SD-card against writing...
I would like some urgent help with this!!!
I already tried hard reset and setting back to factory settings
I had the same issue with mine. It was determined that the USB port was non-functional. There was no self fix and required a whole new device.
any ID what this will cost me?
do you have the latest drivers?
Try uninstalling htc sync and re-installing.
You will find the software on htc website, i cant post a link cos this is my first post!!!
Ok so have really disturbing problem with a new SGS2. When i receive a txt message, i might get the same messages multiple times (record 17 times), and sometimes phone doesn't notify me about new message before i personally open the screen and start using the phone! Firmware causing this? Modem? Kernel?
I'd be really really happy to get help for this one!!
is it an imported device? sounds like your carriers settings are wrong. do you have the same problem with mms?

No it's not imported.. Bought from DNA (Finnish mobile operator), and carrier settings seems to be correct.. And as far as i've noticed same thing appears also with mms..
you'll might want to try to do a soft reset of the phone to the factory defaults to see if it helps? else if you can actually try to flash your phone with either the stock ROMs or custom ROMs.. hope this reslove your problems.
Ok now after i've tried every single thing, the device has been changed to new one. Possisble that modem component was broken and causing these problems.
i everyone. I have a big problem.
I was developing an app. and i debugged it on my phone. i finished debugging it and locked my phone.
some hours later im at my work and i wanted to check my phone only to discover that it wont show anything at all!
the screen's backlight turns on, but nothing is there. i could hear that the phone worked since i got a message. but it wont show anything.
my phone is an Xperia S. rooted. i uninstalled the app via ADB.exe thinking that might be the problem. i dont remember what developer options i set before dfebugging if that can be an issue.
what can i do? please help me.
I would assume that you have done a battery pull(?).
If you have to my knowledge you can't easily change the developer options through ADB so I have some bad news for you, a hard reset may be your only option.
There may be a more expert user who could shed a little more light on this though.
Can you boot into Android recovery, or do you have a CWM recovery on your device?

Hello Guys.
I have International/Unbranded version of HTC Amaze.
I am having problem related to calling. When I tap on a person to call, phone doesn't respond. After 1 min or so, it responds and calls.
Also facing the same problem when typing. When I tap on keyboard, it doesn't respond. After sometime, it respond.
Does anyone know how to fix this late response for calling & typing?
I tried rooting the device, but both these problem still persists.
Please help.
Thanks.
Had the same call problem with my phone when it wasn't rooted. Although it works now and I'm rooted, I think I solved the problem by restoring the phone.
Good idea.

Nice, simple idea there, yingtdeux. Factory reset probably works wonders.
Hey guys,
I am having some problem with a recently purchased Zenfone 5. I will try to be brief, and any help is really, really appreciated.
Alright - so my phone, all of a sudden, has entered a state where I cannot do anything. All I can access is a screen similar to that of Samsung's S-view, which is intended to be active when there is a case attached. However, I do not have one attached - and as such, it appears that it may be a problem with the proximity sensor.
I don't know how this happened, but I cannot get the phone repaired as I live in Australia, and none of the repair technicians, nor Asus, seem to know anything. I was wondering if any of you friendly chaps might, then? It is extremely frustrating, as I would be able to use the phone otherwise, if it was not for this damn screen that it is displaying, which is preventing me from accessing settings and disabling it.
Also, this brings me to my second issue - I want to try to reinstall the OS, but I cannot enable USB debugging! Ah! Do any of you guys have any kind of workaround for this?
I will provide more detail as needed,
Thankyou for any help you can provide,
- dyspoid
Does anyone at least know how I can get past the "s-view" type screen so I can fix things?
