Problems in root and volume button (Moto G 2 4G LTE) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello there.
Guys, I just go through some problems with my phone.
I have a Moto G 2nd Generation 4G LTE Android 6.0, and tried to unlock the bootloader and make root.
When I was giving commands to root (fastboot flash recovery TWRP-3.0.2.3-titan.img) and selected the "Recovery" option, it appears the message: "Boot up failed".
Then I tried with TWRP-2.8.3.0 and brick the phone in Recovery screen.
Then immediately I tried to remake with titan-24.11.10-BR-boot and it worked, but do not appear the screen of "Team Win" to install the root, and also the phone's volume buttons were disconfigured (the buttons don't up or down the media volume anymore, but the call volume).
So the questions are:
1) I need to redo the root process with other files or can do some other procedure to get superuser with what we already have?
2) There is a way to reconfigure these volume buttons without having to reset the phone?
Sorry for my poor english and thank you so much for any help.

Nexus 10 - unlock bootloader didn't go as expected

Hi guys,
I tried to unlock the bootloader of my Nexus 10 before rooting it. Unfortunately, it didn't work and I can't use it anymore (I either have the "Loading X" forever or a dead droid while trying to go to the recovery mode).
I'm used to do that kind of modifications (only on Samsung Galaxy S and S3 though) and I don't know what I did wrong (but I usually flashed with Odin).
Anyway, I used this tool (after enabling the usb debug and allowing unknown sources) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001868
I installed the drivers on my PC (menu 1 in the tool), then I could see my device in ADB MODE (in the tool menu). I tried to unlock the bootloader (3rd option in the menu) and it was written completed. My device reboots and nothing happens. I can access the fastboot mode (is it the download mode ?).
I have Odin.
Can someone help me to get a working device ?
Thank you very much.

Easy fix. Get to the dead droid recovery menu and then press all 3 buttons on the top. You will get into the blue recovery options. Choose factory reset.
Sometimes unlocking the bootloaders scrambles a few things on this device and it goes into boot loop. After the factory reset, you'll be fine. PM me if you still have issues.

Okay, thank you very much. I didn't know I had to press the 3 top buttons again after the dead droid screen, I thought it failed loading the Recovery Mode.
I have to setup my account etc again so I guess it is safe to say it worked.
Additionally, I tried this method after the recovery : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015467
and it worked fine. My device has an unlocked bootloader and is rooted.
hey if someone could help me im stuck myself, after i had the dead android in recovery mode i tried to flash software with the toolkit in fastboot and now when i go to recovery its just a blank screen till i hold the bottom combo again and it takes me back to fastboot

Hey,
I'm having the same problem. I get to the dead droid instead of recovery and tried hitting all three buttons again but it's just looping again.
Any ideas?

It sounds like you didn't actually perform a factory reset. The key combination to get into stock recovery from the dead android screen is Power + Vol-Up. That will bring up the option to factory reset.
So if your powered off or bootlooping, hold the Power + Vol-Up + Vol-Down until you're back in the Bootloader. Use Vol buttons to select Recovery Mode and tap Power. When the droid w/ the Red "!" appears, hold the Power button and quick press the Vol-Up button. This should take you into stock recovery. Select Factory reset. Reboot. After a few minutes, the device should boot normally.
Good luck.

Ok found a video showing that when you get to that part where there's the dead droid (the red !), you don't press hold hold all three buttons but tap them until the recovery screen shows up.
So finally did that but I still have the same problem.
My initial problem was, I received my N10, open the box, turned it on and it started freezing and rebooting. Can't get past the wifi step.
Tried hard and many times to finally get to enter my gmail account, etc
Updated to 4.3, problem persisted so I figured, maybe the factory flashed a bad rom?
So I unlocked it, rooted it and tried flashing older stock versions, same problem.
Tried flashing CM, same; PA, same...
Tried deactivating location service as suggested elsewhere: same; uninstall chrome: same
Even CM withouf GAPPS wouldnt work
So basically, I have a $500 brick. Completely useless as it freezes every 30 seconds.
Decided not to return the device because although I am Canadian, I live in SE Asia and had a visiting friend bring it to me. Way past the return period and the overall experience would be a real pain in the butt... Don't know what to do. Really hoping Kit Kat will solve it but I have doubts.
What do you think?
Sorry. I don't know enough about these things to give more in depth troubleshooting advice. I just recently got my N10 & unlocked it and based on your original post, I thought that's where you needed help. But it sounds like you got past that and got it unlocked.
Have you tried downloading a factory image directly from Google and installing that? If it's locking up on a fresh install of any ROM, it very well may be a hardware issue. You may have to file a warranty claim if possible.

[Q] Have I bricked my Optimus L5?

Hello,
I Was trying to install cyanogenmod on my LG Optimusl5 and I was quite succesfull. I saw the screen working like a charm and the phone seems to be running ok. But, after something about 1 minute, the phone boots. This happens all the time when the system starts.
Another information is that this started after I unblocked the phone and BEFORE I installed the cyanogenmod (in other words, this boot occurs even in official room).
So, I tried to recover my bootloader typing really fast the command described in this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38053729&postcount=1159): dd if=/sdcard/bootloader_backup.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5. But I made this after installed cyanogenmod.
When it restarted, the smartphone shows the following message:
"
Secure booting error!
Cause: boot certification verify
"
I tried some recovery options like volume down, power and (after) home button, volume up, power and home button, volume up and down, power and home button. Everyone of this actions redirected me for this screen.
I tried to use KDZ but it does not found my phone.
The question is: have I bricked my phoje? Can I recover it? Without jtag?
Thanks in advance.
Anyone?
I saw that my windows loaded a adb driver when I plug my e612 into usb: fastboot interface (Google USB ID).
But I`ve tried to use the lg recovery tool and adb and neither of them found the device.
Does anyone have any (any!!) ideia??
Well, I can acess fastboot, but don`t know what to do.
How do I flash the original room on my e612?
Thanks

[Q] Bootloader Encrypting Error | L9 P760

Yesterday I rooted my LG Optimus L9 using LGpwn tool, after that it worked just fine.
This morning I tried to install ClockworkMod Recovery. Using this post. It explains how to download and install CWM Recovery from app that you downloaded in form of APK.
This method did not work 100%, but I was able to reboot normally, so in post it said that sometimes it does not work and you need to download and use Busybox installer Link to busyboxx.
After this I managed to boot in too CWM using app from mentioned thread.
Then problem occurred. After I saw CWM was working I selected reboot device option.
Except now when it started to boot it stops right after Second LG logo (First is static one second one is animated).
I get white screen with "Encrypting" on top and gray line. And one Reset Phone button. IMG they are Dropbox links.
This is followed with Error : Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped. IMG
I am able to boot in too CWM and I have tried flashing something like Cyanogenmod but I get error Status 7. Tried removing line that checks model, no use.
Tried clearing every cache and fixing permissions, nothing. Formatted everything still no use.
Dear XDA community That you in advance.
I fixed my phone by going into SW upgrade mode, and using the Upgrade Recovery function of the LG Software Update tool or whatever. Be sure you don't have any http servers open

I got the same problem, but when I try to access to SW mode and connect to LG Software Update tool to restore my phone, the phone keep disconnect and the phone screen will turn off, so I fail to restore my phone, I have already re-install the USB driver and changed a several USB cable but the problem still, but I tried to restore my phone with SW upgrade method since last night and is was OK, can anyone help me?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Problem Solve Finally, the solution is I plug the battery back to the phone after access to LGMobile Support Tool, and after finish the restore process, the phone will restart but keep boot loop, then I perform the hard reset (Remove the Battery and insert it after few seconds. And now do the 3 button HARD RESET. First press VOLUMEDOWN and HOMEbutton. Then Press Power button only for 3 seconds and release power button but dont release VolDown and Home button and KEEP BOTH PRESSING until you see a Bigger Green Standing Android and circulating Molecular structure above it. DONE! ), then the phone begin work~~~

[Q] At&T Lg G2 can't access recovery mode

So I just got a new G2 with at&t that came installed with kitkat (g2 D800.)
Yesterday, the day I got it, there was an OTA to D80020u which had the Knock Code security feature. Anyways I'm trying to root my phone so I can add a volume mode to boost the headset volume levels. I was able to root the device using this method:
[forum won't let me post outside links but it was a andromod website with directions on rooting a g2 D80020u kitkat with IOroot script tested for 25r1 if that helps at all]
So yay its rooted, superuser permission and all. So I go to install the volume mode I was looking into and attempt to restart the phone in recovery mode by holding down the volume down + Power button until LG logo pops up then release and hold again.
Unfortunately now it won't load recovery mode so I'm unable to flash stuff onto the phone (at least to my knowledge). Instead of recovery mode it shows a black screen with white text saying:
[440] Fastboot mode started
[550] ---reset---
[560]---portchange---
[630]---reset---
[640]---portchange---
[740]fastbootrocessing commands
and thats hit. It wont do anything while in this mode but I can hold down the Power button and restart the phone and have it boot up like normal and run. I can access download mode by pressing Volume up while device is powered off.
Am I going to have to restock to stock? or is there some easy fix?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Sorry guys, total newb here. I derped pretty hard on this. Rooted the device and didn't install a custom recovery before trying to access recovery mode. Went with Teamwin and everything works as intended. Sorry for the waste of a post.

[Q] [H850] Cannot boot into fastboot (no command)

After flashing my phone back to stock using TWRP and LG-H85030a-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip, I tried to install magisk. Unfortunately TWRP crashed at that moment.
Since then every time I do ADB reboot recovery from my phone, I get the No command screen with the android on its back.
I tried to following things to solve this:
- Press the volume up (15 sec) + power in recovery
- Press the power 3 sec + volume up in recovery
- Reflash the phone using LGUP and multiple KDZ using upgrade with multiple versions (6.0 - 7.0 -8.0)
- hard resetting phone (clear all user data)
Unfortunately LGUP does not let me choose the refurbish option. I checked my phones IMEI and I'm supposed to have ITA region, but even with the the ITA 6.0 rom H85010i_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0923.kdz I cannot choose refurbish.
I tried LGUP 1.11 with the dlls and LGUP1.14 with UPPERCUT.
I would really like to root this phone but without fast boot this seems now impossible. Does anybody have any suggestion on how to resolve this issue?
Hey guys,
Not sure how I can delete this message, I found a way around my problem.
Turn off device.
Press volume down, put USB cable into power plug.
And it booted in fastboot. From there I could install TWRP.
