Bricked Samsung S6 G925F - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
I am having a real headache with my Samsung galaxy s6 been bricked, I will explain what happened and what I have done so far
I rooted my phone and installed a custom rom, upon the phone booting up it just boot looped so I tried to flash it back to stock and then the problem started.
I can get in to download mode and when I try and flash a stock rom file it fails at NAND wipe, the phone displays something about SW Rev Binary 4 phone 1, I have managed to flash the modem.bin file and can get in to recovery but that displays another message something like dm verify verification failed.
So now I am at a loss, I have even tried to flash a new pit file but just fails at NAND stage in odin.
Any help would be great.
P.S the phone it locked to o2 so I have tried o2 and the BTU stock roms.

Sw rev just shows up because the phone is rooted.
As for dm verity that is your imei messed up.
When flashing a custom rom you must always back up efs files which is your imei.
Its a ball ache reviving messed up imei without efs backup.
What i would suggest is boot to recovery and wipe cache partition, wipe data/ reset. Then try to flash stock again. I would flash 02 stock firmware 1st.
If no luck flash latest BTU firmware with zerolte_eur_open pit.
Post a screenshot of odin if you can

yup your right ad_ek ..just use the pda option and dont touch other thing...can your phone boot to eg: recovery or download mode?use pit only when your phone is in soft brick state..if fail again try reboot your pc/change usb port and try again
Wonder why OP tick so many for what. Just tick PDA.. that it. Don't touch other things.
PIT only required if your phone is softbrick.
Chinese ROM
Looks like you have a Chinese phone with the locked bootloader, go back to stock for now.

In my case it is only one file .tar.md5 can fix soft brick ?!!
i think it's better to flash a 3 part, since sometimes in a soft brick, a single files doesn't work , but a 3 file can fix soft brick

Which is your problem right now?
Yesterday I was flashing with Odin v1.85 and it was a total mess. I had NAND Write error like you had. I downloaded Odin v1.7 and I got my S2 back alive.
But with your last log, it flashed, so I don't understand what's your problem. Doesn't boot?

OK. So download a stock firmware for your model, which I guess you already have by the first post, and download Odin v1.7 (http://www.mediafire.com/?jyyux6yxem8uojn).
Use Odin v1.7 to flash just PDA (the CODE file). If doesn't boot (if it says error flashing let me know), try changing USB port (remember to reboot the device in download mode each time you want to flash with Odin).
If not, add the other files but without PIT. Finally if it doesn't boot, try with PIT too.
Let me know your progress. Best luck

I9300 Boot logo stuck. Please help

Hi Guys.
I uninstalled some apps on my rooted I9300 and went to bed. When i woke up, the boot logo was stuck.
The only thing i can access is Download-mode (Volume-down + Home + Power).
I think the only way to get my phone up and running again, is through Odin (please correct me if I'm wrong)
What i have tried to resolve the issue:
- Tried downloading stock firmware from Sammobile.com and adding it in Odin v1.85, v3.04 and v3.07: Result: There is no PIT partition. v3.07 stopped at "SetupConnection.."
- Tried downloading rescue firmware here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30087735&postcount=6. The package included Bootloader, PDA, PHONE and CSC files. Tried running them through Odin, first with "Re-Partition" unticked - Failed. Then i tried with "Re-partition" ticked, and got this:

The rescue firmware i downloaded included 3 parts + PIT file, but when i try to flash just the 3 parts, without the PIT, it fails.
Giving up! I've read through countless forums, and no one has a solution as long as the "Re-Partition operation failed." error shows in Odin.

Tried it. The drivers are installed. Odin and Heimdall detects it, but KIES doesn't.
Then try to follow firmware initialization steps, and then, and only then, connect the phone... It will look for your terminal in download mode and update it.

Tried it. KIES downloads the firmware and fails at apx 69% telling me that "firmware initialization failed".

Already packed and ready for shipment.
Update:
The service department stated that they had to replace the mainboard on my phone.
I don't know if they noticed that the device was rooted and had a custom ROM, but it was covered by warranty and they are sending it back with no charge

I want to update my firmware to Lollipop 5.1.1, I have Lollipop 5.0.2 and my carrier is WIND MOBILE (Canada).
I´ve used the Indian stock rom from sammmobile and I´ve tried with other pc, other port usb, other cable and always is the same problem. What can I do? Please help me. Thanks.
Is the phone still locked?? Is the same csc that you're trying to flash??

No, I´m using Stock rom from India and my stock rom is from Canada, so, is not the same CSC. And are you talking about that my phone is locked to others companies? If is that, the reply is YES, still locked.

if you are using a ROM form a different country, it could be built for a different Variant.
Try a Canadian Stock 5.1.1 ROM.
Word of warning, you cannot Downgrade from 5.1.1 to 5.0.2

Yeah, the problem is: We haven´t Lollipop 5.1.1 in Canada yet.
Odin stuck in NAND Write
I m also having same problem Odin stuck in NAND Write.
I have used odin 3.10.6 and 3.10.7 that too on 2 PCs and also tried rebooting PC but nothing worked.
I tried flashing Original FW as well as Upgrade ie 5.1.1. but result is still Fail in NAND write. Smart switch says G9250 doesn't support initialisation
Plz help
My phone is SM-G9250, CSC-TGY.
This might sound crazy but I had the same problem and I had a defective new Samsung USB cable!
I spent hours trying to flash stock firmware!
Only when I used another cable Odin 3.10.6 passed first time!
Solution!
Try to wipe everything on your phone via CUSTOM RECOVERY, DONT WIPE YOUR SDCARD!!! (do not touch the odin settings unless you exactly know what they do!)
Try TWRP:
TWRP: twrp.me/Devices/
This will most likely work because then it will clean flash/install your rom.

If you have the phone locked, i think that you can't flash anything unless you unlock the bl. Try to flash the stock rom with a oldest version of ODIN (ex 3.07/3.00 or oldest...)

Samsung Galaxy S4 (SCH-I545) Verizon Help Needed (Soft-Brick)

Hello,
I borrowed my roommates Verizon S4 (SCH-I545) and I soft-bricked it. I had a different carrier and needed to root/unlock it, and after a day I was unable to send texts or use data, so I tried to install a recovery to flash a ROM.
However, once I tried to install a recovery, it would not longer boot and would say "Software Update Failed" and it tells me to use the Verizon Software Repair Assistant.
So, I tried using Odin to flash the stock, but I ran into trouble because this phone is on 5.0.1. On Odin, I would have the COM marker light up yellow, so I know the phone was at least recognized.
I also tried to find a Verizon Repair exe file (using windows), and I think I found one for Samsung, but it does not recognize the device being connected (even though Odin does)
Is there anything I can do to save this phone and return it to my roommate?

Do you know what baseband version is on the phone? When Odin initially failed for me it was because the phone was running 5.0.1 and I tried installing the earliest software. Then I downloaded the newest firmware (OF1) and flashed it successfully.

Installing an older firmware likely will fail. Moreover, your download was likely incomplete. That is the most common cause of the file being labeled corrupt. There are other sites you could find the firmware , but the other sites have a weaker reputation

Is the firmware you tried to flash same as before? 6.0.1?
It can happen when trying to downgrade or bootloader locked. What rooted firmware was you on before? And what did you try to flash?
cm = Cryptography Manager. Preventing flashing previous builds is implemented in sboot.bin
The firmware you tried to flash was lower build than the firmware you was on?

No you cant change the info to make it say a different model. Can you get into recovery? Turn off phone. Then hold home +up + power button?
Or plug in to pc, find your s6 edge in my computer right click and go on properties. It will give you model number and serial number
