Hi,
I recently started using A2DP compatible Bluetooth Headset(Nokia BH-103) with dell streak. It works perfectly for Music and Calls, but for incoming call alerts, it just plays beeps in BT headset.
Tried applications life "Talktome" and "Blue Control", but did not help.
Whats strange is that SMS ring tone is transferred to BT headset, but only for calls, there is just beeps.
Have been searching for solution since 5 days now, any help will be appreciated.
Also, if there is an app which can say caller name and works on Streak, please help me out with the name.
I am using 218 Stock ROM.
I read somewhere that caller name is not allowed through Bluetooth. Android restriction.
I have the same problem with my MW600.
I have the BlueAnt T1. It speaks caller name and then asks if you want totake the call or ignore. It is all done verbally. You just need to make sure your phonebook (contacts) are uploaded into ear piece.

Caller name definitely goes through BT. "Talktome" was doing this but only for 1 second of length. It was reading only beginning of the name. So, that restriction is definitely not there in android.

I am using A2DP compatible headset, but it does not have contact storage in the headset.
Thanks for the help anyways.
Anyone, please help me out, this problem is driving me crazy !!
I have the same issue with BH-103 and HTC Desire S. Notification sounds are come trough the headset but for calls I'm stuck with the default Nokia tone. So it's maybe a software issue...
Jawbone ERA does allow that, up to 20, if they are in the JB phonebook.
Otherwise, it just gives the number in the headset.
I used Grove IP and download it on the marketplace and used my google voice account to log in. Now you can make and received call from your flyer as long as you have a wifi connection.
Just wanted to share something to the community.
can you then pair a bluetooth headset?
thanks for the find

Yes that did work. Now is there a way to receive calls from a cellphone calling you from Grove IP?
I use my Skype account and it also works well.
I know there are ROMs that enable the Bluetooth functionality, but is there a flashable zip to do the same thing for those of us who'd rather stay with the stock ROM?
Be sure to change your settings in Google voice. Don't have it forward to any number have it forward to Google talk or email that way if anyone calls your Google voice number it rungs your tablet with grooveip. Wired headsets are confirmed working. I used the standard htc headset with the inline mic that came with every android htc phone I purchased and the work perfectly for you hearing the caller and the caller hearing you.
Thankyou I was having trouble getting it to receive calls.

No, you have to root, but you can keep the stock ROM , just rooted. Just to be clear bluetooth works on totally stock, but not bluetooth headset. There is a small mod to one text file you do once rooted that enables headset profile for bluetooth
Just want to know if it uses the sim or google server to call?

Doesn't need a SIM if you have wifi its a VOIP
There is actually a very active forum thread with the developers of GrooveIP here.

Dexter's JB Phone app doesn't work on my flyer ....
Confirmederform full wipe with all sorts of choices (ics\miui\sense....tabletUI\PhoneUI....Full 3G function)
No problem with mic and earphone, works well on G7 (it's not a bluetooth headset)
Case report:Hear nothing while making phone calls....All settings checked, doesn't work....Flashing the rom several times doesn't work
Whether this rom support phone calls with the stock earphone or not? The controller can hang up a phone call but the voice can't get through that.
Anybody have the same problem with me?
Dexter could help settle this problem?

Hi all
I've a very frustrating issue with my phone 4.2.1 not rooted. Its an mtk6589
It's paired with my car system so call service and music streaming is provided
Unfortunately sometimes I can't switch calls to the car system.
The call is detect I can answer from my car system but audio remains on the phone
Can anyone suggests how troubleshoot or fix?
Thanks you
Joy
PS the only way to fix is unpair restart and reconnect again

Hey,
I tried this app (I set up Phone call audio: bluetooth mono etc.), but nothing changed: my headset pairing, I can use it to call the last number, end the call, but I don't hear anything on it, and the headset mic doesn't work.
With stock rom it working perfectly, but I wanna to use cyanogenmod...
Any other idea?
Thanks.
