Hi, noob here...my friend has a redmi 3 pro (the 3gb version) and stuck on the 7.9 global stable (it came with this rom), can he flash the redmi 3 miui 8 global stable rom on his redmi 3 pro from this link?

Do I need to unlock his bootloader? How do I even know if his bootloader is already unlocked?
The ota in system settings doesn't offer any updates

Is there anyone who can help me to flash developers rom on redmi note 3 snapdragon version also called pro version without unlocking bootloader.. Snapdragon does not have recovery pre-installed .

If you have unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed, it may be the same... you flash root .zip file...
For Redmi 3 and Redmi 3 Pro it's Not true !!!

I'm quite the noob with a Hennessey mtk Redmi Note 3 in his possesion and I want to flash an MIUI 8 rom but I don't know which one. My phone's currently on MIUI 7 by xiaomi.eu (6.1.11 beta), I attached a screenshot below with further phone info.
Is there a stable rom I can flash? Do I need an unlocked bootloader to do so??

there is a xiaomi.eu miui 8 stable rom. if you already are on xiaomi.eu .. isn't it unlocked already? I don't know about Hennessey but normally you need unlocked bootloader + twrp.

Is that can be possible to flash Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Global stable rom into Redmi Note 3 Special Edition ?
Any issue found doing on that?

You can't flash the Qualcomm (Kenzo) to the special edition (Kate). At least not without hacking it. And I won't recommend it.
However, I have flashed the Developer version on of the Special Edition ROM and that is based on MIUI 8. I have no instability issues, so you can also try doing it. Download on your pc from here:

Copy file to your phone
Install with Updater app (it does fill wipe if I remember correctly)

I have a xiaomi redmi note 9s global standard version (MI) so I'm going to unlock the bootloader to install the india version in case the xiaomi redmi note 9 pro rom both have the same codename (CURTANA) I don't know if I'm correct but the only difference of these two would be that the redmi note 9s supports HDR other than that they are the same so my doubt is if I can switch to rom without problems in case I want to do the procedure through mi flash by mi flash via festboot ?
