[Q] Problem with converted SHW M250S to i9100

Hello,
i recently bought a galaxy s2 i9100 with 4.0.3
a week later the gps stop finding any sats,
i took the phone to the nearest phone lab and there i found out it was converted SHW M250S to i9100
they even switched the imei to a i9100 one!
i started seeking this forum for information about this,
tried switching firmwares and kernels, and even stock version 4.1.2, and of course a lot of gps problems guide in here but i couldnt get it to work.
my question is how can i know if the gps problem is hardware\software problem?
is there a chance that going back to SHW M250S firmware would solve this issue?
and of course, if i would need to change the gps part, are the i9100 gps part is the same as the korean version??
thx for the help.
plsss helpppp

[Q] Can't update firmware for rooted Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 with custom kernel

Hi everyone,
First of all, let me say that I really am a noob so I might ask some stupid questions.
My problem is that I can't update the firmware version of my Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100, neither through my phone settings or through KIES. I've searched a long time for articles about this problem, but it was very hard to find one that helped me with my specific problem, and in most articles they were using terms and programs which I didn't fully understand.
A year ago or something, I rooted my phone and installed a custom kernel, and I'm affraid it might be the reason why I can't update the firmware. I just did it once and I already forgot long time ago how I did it and how it all works. All I know is that I have this Kernel version: [email protected]#182. My current Android version is version 2.3.6. And in case you need it, my Baseband version is I9100XXKI4 and Build number is GINGERBREAD.XWKK2.
So my question is, does anybody know the reason why I can't update the firmware? And do I need to restore my original kernel or unroot my phone? If so, how can I do it?
Thanks in advance,
Remco

[Q] Where to get latest firmware update for korean Galaxy S3 phone?

Hi,
I have Korean Samsung Galaxy S3.
Model number: GT-I9300
Android Version: 4.1.9
It's been 1 year using it. First 7 to 8 months it worked fine but suddenly I don't know what happened to it. It's loosing battery power very speedily. Prior battery took 1 or 1(1/2) day to drain completely but now it takes only 3 to 4 hours and gets drain completely. I searched a lot on internet but nothing helped.
I took it to repair shop and he said phone, charging port and battery is fine, so no idea what happened to it.
I purchased a new battery and used with it but same results.
It is very frustrating situation. Please anybody suggest me any solution?
I talked to somebody and he said there may be a OS issue so I hard reset it but same results. Then he suggested me to update its OS version. Now I am trying to find the latest firmware update for Korean Galaxy S3 phone. Kindly help me to find that firmware and the complete procedure to install that firmware on Korean Galaxy S3?
I would be very thankful to you for any solution.
Thanks.
