Although you posted in the wrong section, this happens because the stock samsung kernel once rooted disables 'deep sleep' you will need to flash a custom kernel if you wish to have root. (Without disabling deep sleep.)

Thank you !!1
i have installed your link but??
the screen always stays same on the phone (Sony ercicsson make.believe)
nothing happen ?:İ(
my brothers i have solved the problem
i would like to thank miliions times who have contributed to fix this annoying problem.
Solution:
1-you should have 2.3.4 android version.
2-you need to mount below kernel in flash mode
http://www.mediafire.com/?7g6gz2mpp1ljb46
and thats all very easy but:
The critical line is that im not aware of it and i think most people in this site as well
..
the most important thing YOU SHOULD INSTALL A COMPATIBLE KERNEL WITH YOU STOCK OR CUSTOM ROM IF NOT YOU WONT BE ABLE TO OPEN YOUR PHONE
IT WILL ALWAYS STAY THE SUCH AS XPERIA OR SONY ERICSSON SCREEN
TO AWOID SUCH CASES BE CAREFULL AND BE AWERE OF THAT YOU INSTALL THE COMPATIBLE KERNEL WITH YOUR ROM
thank you!
Tbh if you don't know anything of kernel/rom compatibility you really shouldn't be flashing anything.
This is not a personal dig, just kills me the number of posts like this, where folk say they didn't know.
101 for anything firmware related, understanding the process and having a backup plan as things can and do go wrong
Most devs post recommended kernel either in Rom or in the post.

i think u shouldnt post such messages because i wrote above how i fixed the problem just would like to share my limited knowledge for those who dont even know such easy ways thats all!!!!!!!!!!!!
but as long as there coexist people who are like you in this forum even such collective good messages gonna be so hard
i wish i couldnt write this for your egoist view

You completely missed my point, the information is all here, but people jump in without reading first.
It's not that anyone is trying to limit anything, just read and understand before doing, much less trouble.

hey
i don't know what is the problem, but in this week i noticed that my phone freezes then restarts
sometimes it doesn't wake up from lock screen
why is that? since s2 is a high end phone? or is this problem with android? "even s3 lags on scrolling!"
how to solve it?
Rom? Kernel? Tweaks? What did you do? More info?

You're not special. Other people have had this type of problem so go read the topics that already discuss this/solutions.
Also, please use common sense and in future give relevant information instead of just asking for magic generic solution.
okay
it is stock rom xxlpx
not rooted
ver: 4.0.3
no tweaks, or custom kernel, it is just the official s2 rom and kernel

This fantastic ROM and no problem thank God
try to get dmesg or some kind of log or else noone can help you wit reboots.
there's some kernel stuff mixed with sleep of death going on with your device.
"When in doubt, flash"
Someone mentioned something about the i9300 version having an issue that randomly kills the phone? Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I'm assuming just rooting it and changing the kernel would do it but I don't know to much about what causes it.
All you need to know

[Important] Sudden Death Fix - Are you covered?
After reading through that I still have one question I didn't see answered. If I have team win recovery or cwm would having a recovery basically save me if something happens?
You will need a kernel with the fixand a recovery with the fix, or a completely stock firmware XXELLA or more recent

Okay. Thank you and this 100% fixes it? I'm just trying to find out because I can still cancel the order if I need to.
No one knows for certain as Samsung have not released an official statement but this is as certain as you can get, no need to worry though as sds is covered by Samsung and they just replace motherboard.
To be absolutely certain use the thanks button, and your days will be blessed!
I raped the button. Thanks for the info.

Ha ha, nice
hi,
this is my first post, i hope i won't ask (too) stupid questions....
my tablet is a samsung 10.1v. no problems until i upgraded to official 4.0.4: after then, it was affected by wakelocks issues (caused by infamous l2_hsic).
last night i unlocked and rooted my tablet, but now the question is: what rom should i install?
i spent hours trying to get an answer, this is what i got:
OFFICAL HONEYCOMB (3.1)
pros:
- the simpliest way to solve l2_hic issues
cons:
- old software
UNOFFICIAL ROMS
pros:
- brand new software
cons:
- no guarantee to solve l2_hsic issues
- unstable software
i haven't flashed anything yet, but i guess it won't be a pain...
so i'd like to have an attempt with an unofficial rom: if it works and wakelocks disappear, i'm done.
if it does not work or wakelocks are still there, then i can flash official honeycomb...
what do you think about?
what unofficial rom do you suggest to have the best chances to solve l2_hsic wakelocks and have pretty stable software?
many thanks...

the problem is only for 7500, wifi only ROM's don;t have this problem. The problem is ICS modem problem.
Keep reading the current ROM forums, there aren't that many there is no clear fix yet, some say KK2 modem works for them, some say the problem comes back in few days.
Have you tried contacting samsung support? I am thinking of doing that
Good day ppl.

Regarding your inquiry you have to check with the dev of the rom. Cant see any thread regarding that rom here at xda actually.

How did you got the rom ?
For sure you got it somewhere. There should be disclaimers on what will happend if you will not do this and that..
the alliance rom was a thread here on XDA. some guys said that it worked on their SM-G925F's but no one stated if they ran customs roms etc etc
