Hello, I recently purchase the max 2 x820 from Geekbuying with ROM5.8.015S (stable) installed in it which has a lot of bug. I would like to flash my phone with the cuocuo2 method but I do not know which version of twrp and of firmware to choose. Because in the links there is several. Do I Have to take the last versions dating from october 15th?? Thank you for clearing me up on these points because I am afraid of making bad things.
Sorry for my English and thanks in advance
Best regards.
There is a official twrp recovery for it, once you flash that you can flash cuoco92's 18s rom

Unless you want system language other than English or Chinese , just stick with the official Chinese firmware and intall Google apps yourself . Everything works fine and you get OTA firmware updates.

Hi, I ordered the x822 from China and it has a Chinese ROM which is 5.8.018s(Stable), but I want to switch to the Indian ROM with 19s as I've noticed in the forums, that it is the most stable ROM so far.
Is it possible to flash that ROM without root or twrp? I don't want to root my phone, right now!
I am very new to this and any help is much appreciated.
I had another question. The ROM that is currently installed doesn't seem to have the System Updater. Is it because it is not an Official ROM? Thank you.

You can install the 21s is stock but beta and is the best stock rom right now and you can install it by the updater
Download the rom you want ( Indian 19s in your case).
1- Put it in the main directory.
2- Rename it to update.zip
3- Enter recovery mode. (Shut down your phone. Press volume up+power up button together. You will go into recovery mode).
4- Press update and wait.
You don't need root, and charge your phone before doing this.

Is it really this easy? Even if you're moving from Chinese ROM to Indian ROM?

How to know if it's official ROM or not? I bought it from a Chinese website and they usually install a multilanguage ROM (often known as supplier ROM). Is there are way to differentiate? Thank you for the help.
What is your current rom? Put a picture.
Go to settings - about phone then take a screenshot
Download official indian rom from link below
http://forum.le.com/in/eui_detail.html?euiid=209
Log in with leecco accnt and download rom and install as mentioned by @anameeeen
Have X822 with 5.8.018s(Stable) multilanguage ROM. Want to move to Indian 19s ROM. Do I just download the 19s file and rename to update.zip and move to the root of the phone's storage and flash? No root!

But I'm not sure if it is official ROM because sometimes online stores install something they call shop ROM and this might break the phone, right?
Is there a way to say if this is the official ROM or not?

I'm not really sure though, I asked on another post and someone said that switching between ROMS is quite easy if it is the official ROM. But I'm not sure about how to find if the ROM that the seller installed is Official or not. It probably isn't and this is where my question is. What if I place the update.zip file and go to recovery and update, but it bricks the phone? Can it be recovered at all?

At least the recovery doesn't install the rom
I should try it, or better unlock the phone and install twrp and do everything you want

You didn't have an official rom but just a rom from a Chinese store, try mokee or Cm13 or a Miui because I don't think that there is an eui rom with romanian
Installed cuoco92 rom now and Romanian is back (also a lot more languages than in stock rom are available in this version). Not the best translation but ok.
I bought x822 with 5.8.0.18s and the fingerprint was good. When i updated on indian 19s fingerprint stpped working.
What can i do?
Same problem was with me i tried Wiping all data...and flash .and it worked

Probably there were some glitches when updating to Indian ROM, try reinstalling the ROM in Recovery.

I reinstalled it 3 times !!! (x822 has different encryption maybe) ...
just check whether your device is encrypted if not encryt the storage and try. it seems only with device encryption our fingerprint sensor is working
This problem is only for x822 version ??? Anybody else with different version has the same issue ???
Hardware problem if device is manufactured in June-July 2016 !
Hi
Is there a 023s firmware that's flashable via FlashOne or Qfil?
The only firmware I found is an old build developers ROM that cannot be updated without installing a custom recovery.
You can flash 5.8.016s via fastboot, the use the 5.8.023s update zip to update

I flashed 5.8.017s with recovery from a previous installed 5.8.023s, then installed Google apps and then updated again to a fresh 5.8.023s. Rom works so far ok but the fingerprint sensor has no function at all
Is there a way to flash a custom modified stock rom without unlocking the bootloader and installing a TWRP ?
regards,
Frank

Heyyo, 5.8.016s is that "International" ROM but it's actually modified EUI and will not update via OTA and attempting to flash an update.zip from recovery also fails since it's modified EUI. It's the ROM all Le Max 2 resellers put on the device to prevent changes to the ROM.
My Le Max 2 x829 4GB RAM 64GB Storage came with 5.8.016s and I got fed up with it so now I run Dark Unicorn or Pure Nexus ROMs.

I doubt a modified EUI that wasn't from LeEco itself would allow you to keep the bootloader locked as even with 23s you can't relock it on a X829. The most likely reason you can't update from a X829 rom to a X820 rom is that the phone's CID doesn't match. They never produced a newer X829 (US model) EUI build than 16s since they decided to not release the phone in the US. And of course OTAs don't work for the same reason.
Anyway is there any newer firmware that is flashable via QFIL/FlashOne?
How can I get stock LeEco recovery back on my le max 2, twrp is not going at all, I flashed indian 19s but still twrp is only there. Please help.
