Hey guys!
After having some issues with the Netflix app of all the things, followed by low memory, Link2SD and a boot loop (which probably was cause by low memory) I managed to make the phone boot up again by diving into recovery (some CWM version by AlphaRev) and then wiping out cache data. When the phone finally booted up, which took unusually long time, I was missing a lot of apps and got some app crash warnings.
One of the missing apps was the Link2SD itself, and as a consequence (I guess), many of the other apps were missing for this reason (at least those that were linked to the SD card as opposed to installed there by default).
One of the warnings that popped up was one about Google Services Framework.
The application Google Services Framework has stopped working (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Another one was about Facebook.

There were several different app crashes in a row, like on a production line. I was unable to see the names of them all.
I went into app management, cleared caches and uninstalled several apps. I rebooted, booted up (slowly again), I got back some of the app icons that were missing (which is weird) and I was able to launch them. But some apps were still missing, among them Link2SD.
I grabbed an APK file for some older version of Link2SD on my computer, plugged in the phone, launched a command prompt and tried installing it with ADB. It reported insufficient storage space. I checked it and it said like 1.80 MB free internal memory. So I uninstalled some more apps and tried again and it was a success.
After installing Link2SD I launched it and then chose to clean up Dalvik cache, clean up 2nd partition, and then "relink library files". I tried the "recreate mount scripts" but it kept on failing.
Mount script cannot be created. failed

Right now I have Gmail, and I have the Search. I don't think I have any other Google app (except for maybe some background services). I only have a broken Play Store icon/link on the home page.
How can I check and verify that Google Services Framework is installed and working? And if it's not, how do I repair or reinstall it?
What I have tried so far:
I tried grabbing an APK file for Google Services Framework from another thread here at XDA and installing it manually with ADB. It was a no go. This is the message I got.
INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK

What does this mean?
I read in another thread here at XDA that one user was unable to make phone calls after uninstalling this service by mistake. I tried this and I was able to place a call. Does that mean that Services Framework is Okay?

Update:
I just grabbed and manually installed Playstore v4.0.27.apk successfully using ADB. But if I try to launch it I get a "sorry" message.
The application Google Play Store (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

I can only force close it.
I need a way to either install apps right on the phone (Play Store), or a way to grab APK files for the apps I want to install (like backup apps) and install them manually, because there is still some personal data on the phone that needs to be saved before I pull the plug and flash the entire phone.
Did you find a solution for this?
I have the same issue with my phone for about almost a week. I didnt know that google service framework was a big issue and a built in program. I accidentally deleted it same with my google play store with my rooted device. When I reformat my phone it keeps telling or it keeps showing com.google.process.gapps is not working. Pls help me fix this kind of issue im dealing with
I am unable to install Google Play Services. I am getting the error "Application cannot be installed in the default install location". I've installed and updated other apps, but this is the only one giving me problems.
This has been going on for a while, but more and more applications require it. I couldn't even get my RedBox app to work anymore.
I just got the latest OTA this morning, and hoped it may somehow fix it, but no luck. Any ideas?

[Q] Constantly getting "Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped" error
Hello!
I'm using Samsung Galaxy S2 with latest official Android 4.1.2. Since today it started to show me two errors no matter what I do or app I try to launch. They appear even if I'm just watching my screen...
The errors are: "Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped" and "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped".
I basically can't use my phone due to those... I'm pretty sure there were some recently updated Google Play services or apps in the background and that ruined everything. My phone worked flawless until now.
I've tried all the solutions given here: w w w.infocurse.c o m/fix-unfortunately-process-com-google-process-gapps-stopped-error-solved and they basically summarize everything you may find on Google about this... None of them worked.
I know this has been already discussed on different topics, but not for my device and not in this period. I suspect something from Google is wrong now with one of their updates.
Please tell me how to get my phone back and working without these errors popping out at 5-6 seconds!!
Wipe cache and data to those apps?Which apps you have deleted?
Well, I have wiped data and cache for everything related to Google after these errors started to emerge. I can't do this for Google Play Services, as all buttons are grayed and not available.
I haven't deleted anything recently as I remmember. I just installed Scribd and SoundHound recently (5-6 days ago).
Well the problem is due to the corrupting of the play service setup files.
What u can do is rooting and flashing of gapps.
Custom rom+gapps will definitely solve the problem. But as for stock, no clue.
[Slimsaber 4.4.4 + dorimax kernel and 4.4 gapps] and everything is great. no bugs or whatever.
i keep getting google play services has stopped unexpectedly over and over and over tried clearing cache didnt work tried rebooting didnt work any ideas?
Recently I have updated my Sony Xperia SP running cm12 to android 6.0, using the cm updater. I used to run 5.1 I believe, using this update my phone kept rebooting randomly (when starting any app, after running any app for a while, just random). Now that I updated to 6.0 I got rid of that problem, but where this problem ended, it started another one. The very popular "unfortunately, google play services has stopped" error occurred, while I got a notification in my notification bar which said: "Google play services won't run unless you update" or something like that. I have tried everything I could find on the web, such as the obvious clear cache, delete the app etc etc., but unfortunately nothing seems to work... I can't run the playstore app either. At this time I have deleted the play services and now I am getting the error in the notification bar that "*app* won't run without Google Play services".
If anyone could help me with this problem without having to factory reset my phone that'd be amazing. Thanks in advance.
PS. I thought it might have been possible to update the gapps to 6.0 using recovery, but for some reason it doesn't go into recovery either...
same problem here but with RR LP 5.5.9
