Did a video review of the Spigen SGP Screen Protector. It's very nice and definitely something to consider if you're looking for a screen protector. Let me know what you think:

I've used many many screen protectors over the years and my screen protector of choice remains the Spigen SGP Steinheil series. As you may be aware, the AT&T Optimus G dimensions differ from the Sprint/International version, and Spigen only carries screen protectors for that version. Undeterred, I ordered the Ultra Crystal version in hopes of being able to modify it to work rather than having to settle for an inferior screen protector.
Width-wise, the screen protector is fine. The main issues I see are the length (about 2mm too long), the front camera cutout, and the corners (rounded a little too much).
I carefully cut off 2mm from the bottom and did my best to place the screen protector on. I am pretty happy with the results; the front camera cutout isn't exactly right but frankly I don't use the front camera much, and when I test it I don't really notice any difference.

Is any original oleophobic glass screen protector available for e970?
The case thread got me thinking about tempered glass screen protectors and I wondered what folks where grabbing in preparation for the phone's launch.
I've had friends use Nillkin with no problems so that's what I bought, but this phone is a lot of firsts for me so I'm sure there will be some lessons involved

Ordered this OMOTON for wife, but have not installed. Does it have a protector already on it or not? Wife said she didn't feel one or any edge?

I just peeled the thin screen protector off and installed the OMOTON protecter. You have to gently use fingernail and peel uo from bottom. I think it was nice of Honor to put something on screen but theirs is more to prevent scratch where hopefully this thicker one will help with a drop also.
It was pretty easy to install and push air bubbles out to make it look natural.
Installed this on two phones last night. Man it is so much better. Amazing difference.
I bought the Sparin 9H Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector. And this thing is crazy. i can hardly even feel it on the phone but it is extremely strong.
I pre-ordered my honor 5X from Amazon and at that time they didn't carry this on Prime.

How does it protect the back camera? It's one piece of glass for the front screen.

Thanks. I didn't see his pics. I went to the Amazon link. They need to add his pics to their item for sale. lol
The factory installed screen protector is really bad for oily finger prints. I took it off and the naked glass is better not nearly as bad as the screen protector.
I compared the glass on the 5x to the glass on my Moto X 2014 and they look exactly the same as far as oily finger prints. Now my daughter has a Blu Vivo 5 and that screen is amazing hardly pics up any greasy
prints at all.
I ordered the Omoton glass and have not installed it yet, but the Nillkin does look better as it has individual cutouts for the camera and speaker.
So the Omoton did not fit well? did it just not go all the way to the edges? maybe I will order the Nillkin as well , it's only 9 bucks
Should have picked up the one for the camera lens. It scratched and cracked with a case on it...:crying:

I got the one from spigen on amazon. It comes with 2 in the pack, it fits perfectly and not a lot of fingerprints.
Is anyone planning on putting extra glass over the cameras? This shouldn't effect the photo quality or AF, right? Any recommended brands out there? Or are you just relying on the raised bezel for whatever case your're using to protect the camera array?
I'll only protect mine with a ringke case, although I'm worried about possible scratches in the future.
The usual go to case for my phones, Spigen Tough Armor, this time comes with only a thin lip over the camera lens and screen. There is like a 0.1mm clearance once I installed dbrand camera skin. I am disappointed in the casing. The past 2 series (Samsung Note 10+ and iPhone 11 Pro Max) had thick camera lens clearance (almost like 0.5cm).
im worried that it may screw up the TOF sensor or somehow mess with the quality of the pics...
anyone have experience on previous phones?

I have a dbrand skin on it that covers everything but the actual surface needed for pictures. Don't think I need more than that. Also after watching all the drop test the camera is the last thing that will break or stop working.
They have "tempered glass" screen protectors on Amazon for preorder. There is a hole cut out for the flash and mic. I know it's not quite the same but I've had a tempered glass screen protector on my gropro without any issues.
The camera glass is so big on the s20 ultra, it feels like it needs a screen protector. For $10 on Amazon it might be worth trying out.

Yup, I too have Dbrand skin on the camera bump to prevent scratches. Works well and looks great!

Only problem I'm concerned with is the auto focus having even more issues with an extra layer of glass.

Yeah I rock my phones ceaseless but have the entire back with dbrand and a dome shield on the screen. I feel really good about the look and feel of my device.
Just applied the tempered glass screen protector for my phone. It looks good without flash. But when I use the flash, the shot looks hazy. This is going to be a no go for the tempered glass screen protector. See the picture I attached.

Be best if someone did a glass lens cover that had cutouts for every camera / sensor - rather than risking performance issues by covering them.
Does anyone know of an option like this? - All the ones I can see only have the cutout the for the flash or flash and TOF .. but not the cameras.
Other option is to use a transparent skin i suppose..

I've got a Mocolo 9H hardness lens protector, works perfectly
I found this and installed it to get a little extra protection for the Camera Glass - the fit is good - installs easy and I have not noticed any issues when using the Flash. It does require that youi carefully place the screen protector on the camera bump (glass) lining up the holes correctly - but they do give you four screen protectors if the first attempt doesn't work. Which one should I get? I just accidentely demolished my pixel 3a and have a 4a on the way. Looking for a screen protector that covers the whole screen without messing up colors or having too much glare.
I use an hydrogel one bought from aliexpress : Very pleased with it ! It's well shaped to the phone, very thin and so far it seem to provide a nice protection to the screen.
I'm not turning back to tempered glass...
Spigen Tempered Glass works for me well.
