Ok, use stock recovery for OOS 2.2.x to flash OOS 3.1.4 found here: http://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amazonaws.com/OPX_recovery.img
2.
Then after you have flashed OOS 3.1.4 you flash this twrp recovery by blu_spark for the new bootloader found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20236
3.
Then in the new twrp by blu_spark you flash a modified SuperSU provided by me:

Ok, here's the link

Did you read the answer given.
No, the safer way is to use the OOS 2 recovery.
Or use the guide on the topic of the rom you want to install :

ok go here and use the guide to update your BL,and while you are flashing the OPXBLupdater.zip flash MOoSv3.zip after it.Then flash the recovery as stated in guide.
This way you'll be upgraded to new BL along with the MOoS.:good:
Note: remember to wipe your data and system partition before flashing the MOoS or else it'll bootloop.
Also please don't create unnecessary threads,if you could just have browsed the general section or the MOoS thread you should have been fine.

Hi, I followed this Guide to update bootloader and flash blu_spark twrp and Tesla N is installed on my OPX.
If I'm willing to flash 3.1.4 is it safe to flash oos 2.x.x recovery directly when I'm still on rooted custom rom??
Thanks in advance..
Official version here :

Note I didn't tested it...

With the new bootloader and TWRP for it, you should be able to wipe all & flash full 3.1.4 rom zip.
But, I've seen people with relojed BL without reason .Just check it before proceeding.
Hi all,
I'm a bit of a Noob when it comes to this phone and rooting it, and i've been following a Rooting guide by theunlockr. My phone has stock 3.1.4 on it. I've installed adb on my PC and when flashing recovery.img (fastboot boot recovery.img), I get an error dtb not found. It appears that I need the modified TWRP.
So from fastboot, should I just be doing steps 2 and 3 in post #2 above ?
Sorry but I have no idea as to what bootloader I have. If necessary, how can I check this ?

You need to have an unlocked bootloader to use fastboot.
To verify, fastboot command is (you need to have your phone on fastboot mode and usb connected to the computer)
"fastboot devices"
It should retturn a number DFGKCK999
= it's OK, recognized
"fastboot oem device-info"
Should give 4 or 5 lines. One is Device unlocked "true" or "false"
If true, it's OK.
Just flash the recovery here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/development/unofficial-twrp-3-0-2-0-recovery-onyx-t3471584
Reboot directly to recovery with the buttons to be sure he's sticked
Thanks
And to root it, which version of SuperSU ?
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
Flash SR5 Super su version.
Link here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/discussion-how-to-root-oneplus-x-t3242830
I installed TWRP which worked OK but I have installed SuperSU v2.79 that you referred to and now I have a bootloop. What can I do ?
[EDIT] Needed the proper version on SuperSU found in post #2 here - https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oos3-0-twrp-root-make-mm-great-again.440706/
In fact, the last post in the XDA link from Keno40 confirmed that SR5 didn't work. If only I had read that before getting close to heart failure !!!

Firstly you need to officially unlocked the bootloader then Fellow the instruction to flash twrp: http://en.miui.com/thread-296053-1-1.html, after that changed to alka twrp for flashing official miui rom, root and installed exposed framework by solarwarez.

HI! I am using the redmi note 3 snapdragon variant, and i have unlocked my bootloader unofficially and curretly using cm13 rom.
I want to swith back to stock miui rom,i.e miui 8 ,bt i read that directly flashing the rom will relock my bootloader and brick my phone.I have lazy patcher and twrp installed in my phone. How to switch back to stock rom without relocking my bootloader since root access is very imp. for me.
Thank you.
Official unlock is better than unofficial unlock.. Try to flash latest global stable via MiFlash, and unlock it.. If 50% error appear, try to flash global beta and then unlock again..

Hi, according to this thread
Cofface is not recommended for unofficial unlocked bootloader

Yet cofface is required for flashing to marshmallow roms. So can I get some confirmation here if it can be used for unofficially unlocked bootloader?

you may want to use the "safe twrp" version. its a variant of coface which ensures you dont flash the emmc file. however since you have CM13 which has its own firmware files.. i think you should go the EDL method and use the patched emmc file. refer this http://en.miui.com/thread-253680-1-1.html

Indeed it is very confusing with various twrp's around..I wish there was only one CWM or TWRP which could flash any rom..

There is a MM specific emmc file (patched)..look for that on miui forums and follow the steps . I can send you the link later. It will still be unlocked since you are using a patched file. But u will lose your recovery since you are flashing everything stock. So you got to flash safe twrp again after flashing the rom through fastboot. It's just like flashing the LL rom but with a different emmc file.
Alternatively you could use safe twrp as well but I am not 100℅ confident since MM has different firmware/ partitions so I dont know if it will work or not. There are too many users reporting various issues such as bootloop, no sim detection etc etc.
If any experienced user can write a detailed guide for upgrading from miui LL to MM on unofficial unlock using safe twrp, that will be great. Until then use EDL (but backup ALL partitions using Alka twrp before you start)

Can't use the twrp you used on OS 3 for ROMs that don have updated bootloader (currently Ashwins CM13, CM14 do.) For the rest you have to use original twrp. You can just flash it in your current recovery by pressing IMG button bottom right.

You have tou use the correct corresponding twrp for each Android version. Official 3.0.20 and unofficial oos 3 twrp version don't work both ways.

Fastboot install old OnePlus recovery, then flash OOS 2.2.3.

First I have to flash TWRP3_Kenzo via ADB?
Then I have to install Alka via TWRP3 interface?
And then I have to install Lazy Flasher again via TWRP3 interface?
Is it OK or Not?
But what if I can not see internal storage, because it is encrypted? Do I have to use external USB flash drive for Alka and Lazy zips???
Thanks

Then (post from august) I've read that Alka + miui with MM results in phone bricked.

You want to use stock recovery from 2.2.2 to flash 2.2.3 followed by 3.1.4 then boot. Make sure when reflashing TWRP you use the latest from TWRP website. Not sure if you need to flash 2.2.3 but was said to pave the road for 3.X.X.

You download stock recovery and flash via fastboot or flash in TWRP. Many tutorials on going back to stock you just need recovery part.
