Disable DT2W if you want to completely eliminate that source of drain.

Yes but in a slightly scale, afterall enabling it will keep the screen on and idle and wait for the DT command so disabling it should save some battery.
Dt2w is swiched off alredy and showing that

Let it run for awhile then check to see if you have any kernel wake locks. If so, look under partial wake locks and handle the problem as necessary.
there's a difference with battery when my device is turned on and off!! 4example, it gets 100% (turn on) but ~80% (turn off). i used battery calibrate app but not work, i don't wipe battery stats cuz not in my kernel (suave) and not in rom-installing's instruction

wiping battery stats is in the procedure for flashing any kernel or rom
but it's essential
which battery calibration app did you use?
the only thing the battery calibration apps do is to delete the battery stats
there is no other way to calibrate your battery

I used lupus kernel (this kernel doesn't have "wipe-battery-stats" and smartxperiarom, but I tried other roms and kernels, same trouble! I feel consuming of battery is normal excepting what I said above

your 3g data is on
and the majority of battery drain is due to screen
nothing unsual
for how many hours the screen was on??
it seems that everything all right
as 3g and screen consume huge amount of battery

Yup, i know. I adjusted max brightness at that time and 3g turn on. I dont think the problem comes from battery, otherwise ia virtual infomation (battery)?! I think so. Then how to fix that?

Delete Facebook app if you use it and use Atrium or Fast. Official app is power and resources-hungry monster. Also - try to use Greenify it's great application which can save some additional battery capacity. Try to find which processes uses most resources and disable/hibernate them.
I have weird battery drain when my XU loses WiFi connection (when I leave my house or turn off router). It still says it's connected to WiFi and drains battery like crazy.

This must be moved in Q&A, post reported.
Its not normal to have that battery drain - its good to do a clean install.

have you installed it correctly? which kernel did you use?
may be the kernel doesn't do the job, and do put governor and I/O scheduler might solve the problem

flash devswift1's kernel..it will do a great job...also hibernate some battery draining apps with greenify and with the help of "app quarantine" disable apps like google play n some other apps like maps so that u can onlock them only when u need them..
and turn stamina mode on...
this all wud help a lot...
Try switching off Wifi over night setting in
Settings > Wi-Fi > [Options Button] > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep
to "Only when plugged in"
Maybe change the governor. Experiment with the option "Set at boot" (i don't no why, but sometime it helps, even if it should not)
Try an automatic task killer (kill every hour or so), this doubles my "battery time"

I have been having the same issue, here is some stuff which you can try which solved the same problem for me:
* Recalibrate your battery by wiping battery stats
* Change governor and I/O Scheduler.
* Uninstall apps like Facebook, they tend to drain the battery.
* Wipe cache and dalvik.
Hi

Hey, did you remember to calibrate your battery after flashing the ROM?
Also it's pretty normal that the screen consumes a lot of battery. But if it isn't on for long periods of time and still drains there's something wrong.
You can check what is waking your device using this app
Another suggestion would be that don't use auto brightness, it drains the battery quite a bit.

Yes I did callibrate my battery but not sure whether i did correct. Can you let me know how to calibrate my battery?
Let me try with that wakelockdetector apps.. I didnt use the auto brightness... even i tried reducing the brightness to 0% but no luck....

Well you probably did it correctly, not that complicated. Use the calibration app
I got it from this XDA thread and it always seems to work for me.
Just make sure to charge to 100%, unplug the charger and then press calibrate.
Anyway leave the wakelockdetector running for a day or so and then see what is waking your device the most.
Also check what governors and io schedulers you are using. That can make quite a difference.

It's hard to say which is best. You'll have to test them to suit your own needs.
Try using hotplug or smartassV2. They have a nice balance between battery and performance.
Currently I'm using hotplug, I find it has better battery and the performance is sufficient.
If you want more info on governors look in this thread.

What brightness level do you use, and what is your screen on time?
Does anyone know any current news about this function and battery consumption? Really it consumes more battery? I believe it was something to consume more battery, Sony would report this to enable the option!
It seems negligible. The phone still goes into deep sleep.
hi.im check .do not exceed battery consumption
I don't think this feature consumes a lot of energy. It's a great feature for me, btw. So why disable it? I'd rather use my phone 10 mins less than not using this feature.
Thanks guys for the reply!
I believe if consuming battery, Sony put a warning when activating this option!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't use battery either. Still goes into deep sleep for me. But if ever it DOES use battery life, it's probably very minimal anyway.

hi dear. i disable all other app and check at 2 period. first with 2 tap enable and then without 2 tap.
There was no significant change
Well I think it just keeps your digitizer on and uses a negligible amount of power ..but correct me if I am wrong !
In a device from Nokia that I can not remember the model has the same function and activate it the user is informed that this option will consume more battery than normal!
Simple! If you want to use such tech then enable it and take risk (if there's any like battery consumption and such), and if not, DISABLE it, cased closed.
I don't notice any further battery consumption using this feature. 3-4h with 1% battery consumption is really good.
Take it easy, pals! Why are you so serious about battery consumption? Be happy and use it.

It once raised this doubt in a thread and I had that in mind! I find it strange it consume more battery and Sony always worried about the battery do not put any advise to enable this option!
How do I activate this double tap to wake feature??
Sent from my D6502 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
@azeter go to settings - display - tap to wake up.
Just to let you know, I have completely forgotten about this feature and started using it since this Wednesday, after comming across this thread.
I have not noticed any effect on the battery life, not noticable as my usage pattern is quite consistant daily and I could tell...
