Hello,
I dont know IF posting in the right place, but I searched the whole forum for a proper answer how to "unbrick" my boot loop-ed Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830..
Now I've tried installing several firmwares using Odin multi downloader v4.83 but none of them helped me, after all I cant access Recovery Mode!
I can acess Download mode, Emergency Dmod (arm9) and RAMDUMP (arm9)
I have: Android 2.3.3 GingerBread on T-Mobile Carrier (Hungary)!
How did I get here: rooted with SuperOneClick 2.3.2 and used an app for unlock (Galaxy Ace Unlock.apk) witch was probably the main source of the problem... Had no problems until I decided to reboot, rebooted successfully, the problem I had then was No carrier, then tried a second reboot and ever since then I'm stuck into a boot loop with no access whatsoever to RECOVERY MODE.
After installing firmware and waiting the 5 minutes in Odin, my device reboots intro a boot loop after about 2:32 min and nothing can be done furthermore...
I've serched the forum and found that data.rfs is missing in the firmwares... maybe that the source of the problem to... I dont know...
Please help me fix this problem!! Thank you!

You'll just have to keep flashing roms via Download Mode until one works (try flashing the stock rom).
P.S.: Your device has it's own forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1164.

You have done everything you could and it's still not fixed (even the things other people did when they had the same problem - it worked for them, but not for you), so warranty is the only other way to get it fixed (or at least replaced).

Thank you for the help Theonew! Appreciate! I've taken it into warranty service, hopefully they wont find my device inappropriate for free service, and so I dont have to pay for it...
The only problem is that I have to wait at least 8 days untill I get it back..
Anyway, I've researched this Galaxy Unlock apk. and it seems thats the main source of the problem.
Thanks again!

so as your physical buttons are working, you should be able to enter download mode(remove the battery for 5 minutes and re-insert) . then try flashing a stock rom. if you can backup the data, do it. good luck.

note2 kernel is totally different from s3. probably that should have damaged the touch on your phone. that is a big mistake by the dev and you can do nothing but taking it to service center. good luck.
okay, now it's a 100% that you need a service center job. your touch chip is fried due to the voltage differences
Hi guys, I'm facing a trouble to taking screenshot with my s3... The screen turns off and the notification led turns on, and no screenshot. It's occurring with the two methods power + home button and swiping the hand :'(
Now I'm using an app to take screenshot, soooo angry about this it, but it was the way I found to use a function that my phone was already

Pressing the Power and Home buttons at the same time will grab an image of the screen. This can be awkward to get right, so it’s important to remember to press both buttons at the same time, and hold them until the shutter sound is heard. (You need to hold the Power button slightly before pressing the Home button, then hold them both down.)

Have you tried reversing and settings you have changed or removing any apps that you may have changed/installed since the problem started happening?

Or that it was working fine up till a few weeks ago. Try clearing cache and delvik cache in recovery first.
If not a re-flash is most likely needed. also I would upgrade to higher that 4.1.2 as its known to brick phones and cause all sorts of other problems.

Do the 2 buttons work normally individually?
Keep in mind that if you upgrade to 4.3 there is no going back. However I'm almost sure that if you upgrade to a stock 4.3 based rom the screen shot is going to work.
First step is factory reset, followed by flashing the latest stock rom for your country. If it is still the same afterward then test the button hardware.

Well well... hahaha. 4.3 is not so bad., of course you have knox in it. and if you dont want to void your warranty by rooting your phone and changing roms, then stay in the 4.1. That's of course if you still have warranty . I have an i9305 not the I9300 , but i9300 has the 4.3 too . Now my phone has reached another level which is the 4.4.4 kitkat. First flash lolipop firmware
With odin untick autorebot
When its flashed directly open youre battery
And turn on but dont let your device boot up then again turn on with vol up + power + home which take you to recovery then wipe data and reset factory
Then rebot and you will get successfully lolipop version.
Hope it will work its worked for me and am using it.

Hey bud, Ive got a J700T, am in serious need of the most recent BL for TMobile (AQF1). Any ideas where to get it? Dealing with what I suspect is a minor mismatch issue that is failing Googles SafetyNet API despite being totally stock now.
If you're wondering - I reflashed the existing AQF1 HOME file from sammobile to unroot, buuut then discovered the HOME file had everything but the BL. So I figure theres a remnant change left in mine thats flagging Googles API.( Lucky I didnt attempt changing versions or i'd be bricked and ticked.)
So recently, my phone went into bootloop for no reason. I was using stock firmware, no root or modifications of any sort.
I'm not able to access recovery mode, boot the phone(in safe mode as well). The only screen I was able to get to was download mode.
However, I don't want to flash custom firmware on it because that would make me lose my data.
Help of any kind to help me backup my files or fix the problem would be appreciated.
UPDATE: I was able to install TWRP onto the phone, but it freezes after the first of seconds of boot.

Hey sorry for the late reply... I had to travel and bought the OP5 in a hurry.
Tried flashing the firmware you gave, but it had the same result - bootloop.
Any luck? Mine just did the same thing this morning. To be a little more clear, my ph-1 (USA, Sprint purchased) ran the battery out last night. When I plugged it in, it bootlooped. I entered boot loader and shut it down. Fast forward - charged all night, no difference. Bootloader is locked and there is no recovery (phone hasn't been modified at all, unless you count Holy Diver as a ring tone

I gave it to a service center. They simply replaced the battery and it was working fine for a day. The next day the same things started happening again, and I sent it back to them.
