I have Camera FV-5 as my camera apps and Go Locker - but I cannot assign this camera app as default camera app, so as to use it in Go Locker to unlock directly in this camera.
In Setting I can't set default for Camera FV-5 cause "launch by default" / "clear defaults" is grayed.
I tried to use and "Default app manager lite 1.7.3" , but it says "Camera - no installed apps"!!
What can I do?
Completion: the same happened for audio (I have Maven Player 2.2.4).
My current situation is that I have a phone with 2 camera apps on it, stock and camera FV-5.
Camera FV-5 is slower than the stock camera, so I only use it in situations which I need manual control.
Whenever I open whatsapp and try to send a photo, the app asks me which camera I want to use, with no option to always use stock. I don't want camera FV-5 to exist as an option, as I will open it if I want to use it.
Is there a way to remove an app from the list so that my phone does not recognise camera FV-5 as a camera?
Thanks
George

The problem with whatsapp is that there is no 'always' option when selecting an app.

my last solution, you have to disable(not uninstall) camera FV-5 from setting menu, if you running on android 4.0/up
from menu, choose setting>applications>camera FV-5, klik force stop then disable it, and you want to use it again, just enable it again, don't worry about the data you have been saved on camera FV-5, you won't lose it..
Not what I'm looking for, but thanks a lot for your reply
Hello,
When i open up the app: Technique.
It has a builtin camera app and won't give me a prompt to choose the stock camera for example.
Is it possible to change this so that when i open the Technique camera it shows an external camera.
by external camera i mean an USB Camera.
so i can record from the USB Camera and not the device's hardware camera.

it depends on your android version but anyway try to go to settings/apps settings then clear default apps preferences
Can anyone help me with the intent/shortcut to open the camera on Video directly?
I can create the shortcut on the launcher, but I want to link it to button mapper, so I can access it faster.
It always opens the camera on photo, and it's very show to get to video.
Hello, I choose 4K30 in Video settings, but next time I open the camera app, it goes back to 1080p30. Is this a bug in MIUI 12.5.5.0? Thanks.
Just ho to the *camera settings > *save previous mode (toggle the option)
To open the "camera settings" just go to
...> open camera and then
> three horizontal line or more option button (on the right top most part of your screen)
Thanks but this for camera to remember the mode (Photo Vs. Video) next time when you open. The video resolution still goes back to 1080p30. It does not remember 4K30.
