How to turn off spell checker? - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hi, just got my new x822, and so far it's amazing! But when I write Hebrew, it puts all words with an annoying red underline. I understood that's the spell checker but can't find a way to turn it off in settings. Tried to use stock keyboard and swiftkey but both with the same problem.

[Q] Control letters in Contacts alphabetic scroll?

I'm using both English and Russian letters when naming my contacts. With the default V10d (ARUSSV) firmware my contacts are looking like this (when scrolling):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The English letters come first, then there are all of the available Russian letters.
But after flashing the Prime v2 or Megatron v1 firmwares all of the Russian letters are disappearing when scrolling contacts: there are only English letters.
It is interesting, that I'm able to bring the Russian letters back in Prime/Megatron just by setting the overall phone language to Russian (instead of English). When phone is set to Russian language Russian letters comes first in the scroll list and the remaining English letters are at the bottom of the list. When I set overall language back to English the Russian letters disappear from the list.
When using the default firmware I can see both Russian and English letters when scrolling Contacts independently of the overall language used.
So, there is a questions: if there is a way to control the appearance of alphabetical letters in Contacts scroll list?
Thank you!..

Yep Swedish and Finnish use these symbols, so they would be on the physical keyboard of phones from those countries (Probably on all Scandinavian Mini's).

It won't. The stock keyboard uses some really ugly hacks to make it work, most other keyboards don't.
I was Freeze Stock Keyboard app
not work
I was Uninstall Stock Keyboard
not work
GIVE UP!!
T^T
I saw somewhere that in 2.3 OTG Keyboards only work in English.
That on ICS other languages will be supported.
If this is true I don't know... but might the the reason for your problem.

it covers my text when it reach that point and i would have to stop texting just to wait for the preview to go off. any ideas will be appreciated.
ps: i already did try several keyboard apps but didnt like it. all i want is the same keyboard but without that preview thing, its annoying, i tried to search but i think im the only one complaining about this..:laugh:
bumped
im sorry for bumping this thread. it just seem that im the only one complaining about this xperia keypad flaw. or am i the only one using keypad here??? i tried to search for same issues but i dont find any similar concerns, how was that possible?? its annoying that whenever you type something you wait for the preview to disappear to check if you texted it right? anyone??
there is hardly anyone out there using keypad instead of keyboard.
but if you want to used keypad only, use it with T9 dictionary on. maybe this can help.
here is a screen to show you better.
( I am using Xperia Tab keyboard, and disabled spelling check. you can try with spelling check enabled too )

I'm not sure what keyboard that is but if you go into settings for the keyboard and make sure the only language that's checked is English it should go away. I think Spanish is often checked as a second language by default.
Keyboard settings are accessible from the home screen using Menu/Settings/Language & keyboard.
ramjet73
yea, but it still stays there... not available to press, but takes place. it is stupid!
How did I not see that! While the option is not there, I can select just English. But then the voice button replaces it. So I just uninstalled the voice program.
Woot woot!
