i you buy a samsung s 6 edge secondhand but it is blocked like Samsung store blocked can this be fixed or bypassed
What exactly do you mean by samsung store blocked? Can you get onto the phone? Samsung can only block it if it has been reported as stolen and via find my phone.

I see that the international s2 is able to use the samsungdive.com services (tracking, locking, and wiping lost or stolen samsung products), but ours are not able to. I am assuming AT&T has something to do with this and asked Samsung to remove it from the phone in order to force us to use AT&T's find my phone and family features. I think they cost extra too.
I am frustrated to say the least that my buddy at work is able to access these features on his international s2 as am I on my Galaxy Tab 10.1.
I tried to remove the 'Samsung account 1.0' from my tab 10.1 and restore it on my s2 but was unsuccessful in getting it to work. Anyone else want to take a stab at this? If you sucessfully enable it, there should be an option under location and security that opens up called, "remote services".
Good luck!
You really need to "Rethink Possible." Just another "enhancement" brought to you by your favorite wireless company.
Agreed.

Hi ,
I have a question some one on ebay has a samsung galaxy s II which is is perfect condition, it can see mobile networks according to him but he says he cannot connect to to any network because his Insurance/carrier blocked the phone
could this be just the simple network block or could it be some sort of IMEI block ? any idea ? also is there a way of unblocking it anyways ?
Talk about insurance fraud, stolen phones and any possibility of making them work is forbidden on XDA as doing such things carries lengthy jail terms in most countries.
cool

That means your imei is cloned.... which means you're in possession of a federal felony.
Hi,
I bought a samsung s7 off ebay used for my daughter to play games on at home. "Wifi only no SIM". The phone is locked and requires original owners samsung account to allow me to use. I'v already factory reset but still have samsung account activation due to abnormal factory reset. My guess is the phone was stolen or never removed account? How to I get around this? can i just load a custom rom on it to get around? If so could you point me in the correct direction? Phone is SM-G930V. Thank you all in advance.
Hi everyone, this is my first post on this forum and I really need some help.
I purchased my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from Samsung.com just a little over a year ago. I ordered the T-mobile version of it from them since we had been using T-mobile for years. But recently we decided to make the switch to Xfinity Mobile. I had already checked on the Xfinity website to make sure my phone's IMEI was compatible and it was. And since Xfinity Mobile uses Verizon's cell towers, I checked if my phone's IMEI was compatible with Verizon, and the said it was as well on their website with "Nice, your SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE9 NVZW will work on our network."
So today when we went to the Xfinity retail store to make the switch and get the rest of the family new phones (since they all has the S7 edge which was not compatible) they checked my phone's IMEI number and it showed compatible, but they had me put in a Xfinity Mobile sim card just to make sure and that is when the headache began. I got a message on screen saying "Network Lock This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible. Please use the Device Unlock application to unlock the device. Make sure the device has internet connectivity to the Device Unlock application. "
I already my Note 9 permanently unlocked thru the t-mobile app a couple months after purchasing this phone a year back. I called T-mobile and they said it looked unlocked on their end and they couldn't find any reason why it wouldn't work and transferred me to Samsung Customer Service, who said they can't think of any reason for the problem but told me the nearest Samsung Care location was literally walking distance from the Xfinity store. So I went there, and the Samsung Care guys told me that it could be a hardware lock and that they could trying flashing a rom for Xfinity Mobile if they can find it, but there is always the brick risk. I had them check the warranty status and it literally expired one week back....fml.
I tried a factory reset, but still getting the same message. Would appreciate any and all advice on what to do from here.
