Double taps to unlock without extra step? - LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hi, I really enjoy LG double tap to awake feature, but I could not find the option to double tap awake without swipe, knock code or PIN etc (It does not show "None" option, see the image below). How do I double tap to unlock the phone without these steps?
Thanks guys

There is none. You have to at least swipe the lock screen

You could use fingerprinting unlock and you don't gotta do these steps. Make sure you do a good scan of finger. I know this not answer your looking for, but best solution. Like guy said there is none. Unless your rooted, there is.

Thanks. Fingerprint is annoying for me, I fail multiple times.
Do you know how to achieve this on a rooted device?

Yeah xposed gravitybox works. You double tap top statusbar and goes to sleep. Lot of roms support that feature as well.

Rook with Terminal Emulator so bare with me....
You hit the enter button after each entry, right? When I first opened it it asked for superuser permission which I granted. I then typed su and hit enter. It went from a $ to a # so then I proceeded to the next string of text and hit enter and it said 'killed' but it's still in the notification bar. What did I do wrong here as i'm sure it's my fault.

[MOD][Xposed] Enable camera on lockscreen

Samsung users with 4.2.2 should have a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43581535#post43581535
Just a simple tweak that addresses an issue that's been bugging me.
I have a long password, and having to enter it every time to use the camera is a major inconvenience.
This tweak allows you to open the camera while the device is locked. Both the camera and the camcorder work.
Tapping the gallery button will send you back to the lockscreen.
Download: http://mohammadag.xceleo.org/public/Android/Xposed/EnableCameraOnLockscreen.apk
This will only work on Samsung based ROMs.
just what the doctor ordered

It works on any lock type. You need a way to open the camera app though.
Just enable "With swipe lock" in Settings -> Lock screen and add a shortcut to the camera in lock screen options.

I'm using the PIN lockscreen on a Verizon Galaxy S4, stock rooted.
I've installed exposed installer, installed this mod, enabled it, but I can only get the camera to appear on the lock screen if I choose the unsecured swipe lock screen.
If I select the PIN lockscreen option, the camera/lockscreen options aren't available in Settings/Lockscreen.

There is no camera icon on my PIN lock screen. All I have is the clock/personal message, PIN keypad, and emergency dial options at the bottom. I can only get the camera icon to appear on the lockscreen when I select Swipe (unsecure) lock screen.
Any of the lock screens w/security (e.g., pattern, PIN, etc.) will not display the camera icon, nor allow me to select that option in the Lock Screen settings, even though I have this xposed mod installed.
Either I'm making a doofus error somehow, or this just isn't working on the GS4. Do you know if anyone else w/an S4 got this to work?
Screen shots of xposed to show what it looks like.
I am able to get it to work however, after a short while the hack fails until FC or retstart. Perhaps a constant notification is needed to keep it live?

[Q] Disable SMS/message notification in status bar

Looks like the retards removed this feature or am I blind? This featured was awesome in S5, but I can't seem to find where to disable this? I DO NOT want a message preview in the status bar when I get a message.
Thanks.
You are blind. Go to settings > sound and notifications you can set notifications to hide content. You can also do that per app if you like.

I appreciate your help and effort in this. Sorry for sounding ungrateful. I'm just so fed up with this I can confirm that this doesn't work. Maybe it's a problem only for some phones? Maybe it's like the problem with A-Z order in the app drawer. Some have this option, some don't (I don't).
So to sum this up: Under Settings -> Sounds and notifications -> Notifications on lock screen I have "Hide content". When the phone is on and unlocked, all messages I receive is clearly visible in the statusbar. But, while locked, the square notification for message shows that I have one new message, but it doesn't show the content.
Just an addition to the last post. The options I had on my former Galaxy S5 were like this: http://galaxys5guide.com/samsung-ga...off-sms-and-mms-message-preview-on-galaxy-s5/
I do not have these options at my S6 Edge. These options are what I'm looking for. Where are these?

Working app lock with nexus imprint

OK..I have seen many posts in several forums by people requesting this feature..I just noticed this and thought of sharing..I have installed xposed module "maxlock" and locked few apps. The feature is working as intended.
If its old news, please excuse me, I just wanted to share with those who are looking for this info.
Thanks
Thanks needed this.
Hi. Installed the maxlock but can't find the option to lock it with the imprint ?
It's automatic. Once you setup the app settings, say with pattern lock, select apps to lock and then go try and open a locked app you should see a finger print icon at the bottom of the lock input screen.

Welcome guys...
Another improvement.. As you might have noticed.. This method can only lock the app but can't hide content in notification.. I used to use an app called finger security on note 4 for this purpose.. I just restored that app from my titanium back up and voila it's working!
So now I am using finger security to both lock apps and hide content of the app.
The funny thing is even the developer of the app is not aware it's working.. I wrote mail to him and probably he is looking into it now..

Try using Nova launcher in "root" mode and then try this app again
