Hello Xda.
I´ve just bought me a Xperia Mini ST15i with the intention of creating the best training device there is. The hardware of the device is just perfect to turn it into a training device.
Small
Lightweight
Bluetooth
Cheap
Ant+
GPS
FM-radio
Spotify
SD-card
Camera
Internet
I really hope some or some one of you are interested of helping me with this. I am all new to modify a phone completely and need your help to succeed.
What I´m looking for is how to slim everything down as much as possible to get the most out of the battery and still have the functions above working. Especially the ANT+ since I have both a heart rate monitor and cadence monitor.
Where should I start?
I recommend to start in changing your device into a st17i (xperia active).
That have all the characteristics of your st15i + it is water proof and shock resistent. But I guess thats not what you want to hear

Can anybody tell me why Sony smartphones are slow??
I mean I have Xperia u and If I compared to a Samsung phone that has the same specs we will find that Samsung phone is faster? Why?
Am I wrong? Is it just because it's old?
Does Sony SCR-24 case for xperia Z3 Works on Xperia Z2?
Thankyou
I dont think so. That will not fit for z2 since its for z3 dude. Why dont u get z2 case?
Aham.. Its just the stickon on the front of the case that sticks to the back of phone so I think it will fit....
What I want to know is that whether the smart window will work on our xperia z2 or not
I see, i think its possible since z2 also hv nfc. But im not 100% sure.
Anyone tested it?
Of course it wil NOT work. The cover-widget.apk is working OK on the Z1 as any other lockscreen widget, but it needs the basic modifications:
-root
-recovery
-deodex
-some kind of super user mod, be it a modified services.jar or via xposed
The problem with the Z2 is that Sony removed something that prevents the widget to be shown on the available widgets for the losckreen, even with all of the above mods it is not working. I already asked for a port but no one has replied to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/help/request-z3-style-cover-widget-z2-t3007705
It won't fit the Z3 because is a bit smaller and thinner than the Z2. I already checked.

It will fit if you force it
But you will not like the result.
I bought sony xperia z2 last month and it shows me notification for a system update 23.1.A.0.690 (5.0 Lolipop)... I ignored it and never downloded the update because one of my friend had Xperia Z1 and he updated the system software but after the update he started having issues with the phone like it always autoshutdown due to heat up and was almost impossible to restart it.
Many of my friends who owns sony xperia smartphones suggested me not to update because they also started having issues with their devices when they updated the software. one of the main issue they had was the phone slowed down.
I have kitkat software right now. I just want to ask you guys who own Xperia z2 and recently updated to this latest software update, are you guys having any kind of issues and what you people suggest should i stick with the kitkat version or update it
I have Z2 and my brother has Z1 and we are both on Lollipop.
On 5.0.2 :
# The Xperia Z2 is very well but the animations are a little bit buggy but they don't break the flow
# The Xperia Z1 is very buggy and the system isn't stable and shut down three times a day
On 5.1.1 :
# The Xperia Z2 has no more animation bugs and it's perfect
# The Xperia Z1 has a much more stable system and no longer shut down issues
### As a Z2 owner I highly recommend you to update to lollipop 5.1.1 Because it's so beautiful and extremely fast and the battery stand for 7 and half hours in extreme usage (like clash of clans)
I know that on kitkat, the battery life is a little bit better but it worth to sacrifice
If I Helped, Leave A Thanks ?
