Just let your Facebook manage your contacts in the Facebook app settings menu. Imho.
settings, accounts, facebook, sync might work?
Just go to your sync settings. You'll find it there.

There could be an easier way then how i do it, but I just go into my contacts then delete the contact picture and facebook replaces it with the most current one.
Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble at the moment getting my Facebook contacts profile pictures to show up when sync'ing my contacts with the Facebook for Android app. It sync's the accounts okay because I can still view a contact and it will have a link to their Facebook profile, however it's no longer sync'ing the pictures anymore.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Facebook app and then sync'ing contacts again but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea why that might be? Cheers.
i did had this issue.... i removed the facebook account from social hub & the facebbok app itself..
Settings -> accounts and sync -> then clicking on the account and removing them.
Then first added facebook to social hub...synced it...then pictures were back...then i had to again log on to facebook app...and synced again (this is just to attach the contacts) so that the app can be lauched from contacts itself.

I don't have Social Hub, I froze it in Titanium Backup and it seems to have disappeared. Think I'm going to have to reset the phone.
Just try to delete and readd your Facebook.sync account. And then sync again. That worked for me. I never use the hubs

Cheers for the replies guys. I found out what the problem was, the ROM I had installed had the Facebook sync removed from it. Did a full wipe only to realize this afterwards, all sorted now though.

Was just wondering how do you have the phone contacts use the facebook pictures? Right now my contacts are only using the google pictures.
I do have facebook account setup and click sync contacts.

I am running the latest CM9 / AOKP / Liquid Rom (10/26). I can not seem to sync my facebook contacts with my google contacts. So in the contacts I am not seeing contact pictures or any facebook related info. I have went to menu / system settings / accounts & sync and set facebook account to sync on. That did not work. So I uninstalled and re-downloaded the facebook app again. Still no dice. Any suggestions?
App Facebook Contact Sync. Do not allow the facebook app to sync, it will only duplicate if it even works. Which in 99% of the case it doesnt.

Is there a way to get facebook contacts sync without the facebook app? I've generally found that letting it run on my phone causes all sorts of problems.

I only want it to link with the contacts on my phone, but after I press the sync button, it syncs ALL my Facebook contacts into my phone (All my friends on Facebook). WHY??? Anyone know how to sync and link with ONLY the contacts on your phone?

go to your contacts and hit the menu theres a setting in there to only display your contacts, its probably because htc has there own facebook sync so thats probably what your seeing.

I came across that answer somewhere too, but I can't find where you can hide the contacts you don't want in the menu. Can you direct me specifically?

Ahhh I see what you mean. But like when you go to the phone tab on the very left, all your facebook friend's contacts are there. I don't think you can get rid of this
