While rebooting my phone, it got stuck on the Blue Wave screen. The phone bootloader was not unlocked prior to this
1. Doing a full discharge/charge
2. Holding down every possible combo of Power + Vol Up + Vol Down (I'm not even sure which is the right one)
3. Waiting for 2 hours with the Blue Wave screen
I'm all out of ideas. I have photos in there which I need and I can't even get it into recovery mode. This phone was bought in Dec 2015.
There is a small button under sd card cover strap.push and hold it for a few second with a needle or something.

Hi,
This is about my Samsung Vibrant. I flashed a new rom onto it and after the regular installation the screen turned black and would not turn back on. Like nothing works. No lights, no anything, like the power button hasn't even been touched.
Is my phone bricked? Is there any fix to this?
Thanks
what do you mean black screen? as in no power at all? Even when charging the phone?
Yeah. Like it looks like the phone is off. Just black
have you tried removing the battery then going to DL mode?
I've tried all three button combinations.
Removing the battery and then holding the two volume buttons and inserting the battery then pluging it into my computer.
Nothing seems to work. The phone is unresponsive and the screen remains black the whole time. The four lights on the bottom of the screen don't even light up.
Hmm, let's wait for the others but i think....
Guide in signature should help
2. Remove everything from your phone (SD card, sim, battery).
3. Plug your phone into your computer WITHOUT the battery, as you have already taken it out in the last step.
4. Press and HOLD vol. up and vol. down.
5. As you are HOLDING these buttons, reattach your battery.
6. You should be in Download Mode.
This is under the NO-BOOT phones.
I tried and it doesn't put it into download mode. If I can get it back to download mode it would be golden.
I think they've rigged things to force download mode haven't they?i don't know if it will help but it might be worth a shot
Still flashing , thanks to odin
Check my guide under the troubleshooting section, it should have a link to the "Soldering Method" and THAT will force it into DL mode.
But I'd advise you to CAREFULLY follow my steps again before spending time and money on the soldering methdo x) Just a thought

So...... yeah
I was using my phone last night, when all of a sudden it shut down and started boot looping. The only way I can get it to stop looping is to pull the battery. As soon as I put the battery in, it starts boot looping again. This has made it impossible to get in to either download or recovery mode.
It stays in the Vibrant screen for 4 seconds, then stays on the "OverStock - Smaller, Lighter, Faster" for another 2 seconds.
I've ordered a USB jig in hopes that it will allow me to get into Download mode.
Any tips?
my phone did that but started straight back up when i pulled battery and put it back in, it was well random
got it out of my pocket and my girlfriend pull it out of my hand then it went to vibrant then overstock then vibrant
maybe your power button got stuck so turns straight on when battery goes back in ??
have you tried leaving battery out for awhile then trying again ??
I left the battery out over night. Whenever I put it in, it immediately jumps into the boot loop.
That's a good thought about the power button being stuck. It would certainly behave this way if that was the case. It appears to be fine though. It's still clicking perfectly when I depress it.
You could always try
odin back to stock
1. Start Odin
2. Plug USB cable into pc
3. Power off the Phone.
3. Pull the Battery.
5. Plug USB cable into Phone.
6. Press and Hold: Volume UP + Volume DOWN + Power, all at the same time.
7. Re-insert the battery.
8. The phone will power now, when the screen starts a cycle of going to a BLACK screen, release ONLY the POWER button.
9. When you see the download icon release the volume buttons,
10. Odin back to stock by putting the PIT file into the appropriate area and the .tar in the PDA area.
Or try that same method without holding the power button, just the volume rocker (up and down) when plugging into usb that works for some ppl

I'm unable to get into download mode. Since the phone powers on immediately after inserting the battery, I've tried holding down the volume buttons as I'm inserting the battery, but it just enters the boot loop. I've tried pretty much everything at this point. I'm hoping the jig fixes it.
ok try this
pull out battery
hold volume up and down (if you are using gingerbread bootloaders volume up only)
DONT PUT BATTERy BACK IN INSTEAD PLUG USB
then you should be able to get into download mode

thanks button if helped

Did you have odin up and running?
I was able to get it into download mode. The problem is that it's restarting 3 seconds after it enters DL mode.
I have ODIN up, I'm holding down the Vol+ button and the power button. I insert the battery in the back, the phone boots in to DL but immediately restarts again.
I think I might have to send it in to be JTAG flashed.
i can't stop thinking that button is stuck
In case someone still faces a similar issue. Reboot loop happened to me today. I have a vibrant. I use for work and it was off for about 3 weeks and it entered reboot loop when I tried to charge it and could not get into recovery either. It has cm7. It seems like with cm7 the phone does not enter charge mode until it boots the OS and battery did not have enough charge to boot forcing the loop. Luckily, I have an Epic 4G as my personal phone. Swapped batteries and was able to boot the vibrant. Charged the vibrant battery using the epic and then swapped them again. Don't know if this is your case, but sometimes battery statistics are messed up and phone reports battery has enough charge, but it is almost dry.
Hope this might be of help to somebody.

Hi
I'll have that year old one max, it was rooted and I was going to get it back to stock. It was connected to comp and recovery mode while I went to open a door, was off around 5 min, my 3 year old daughter got it in her hands and now it's stuck in that boot screen "htc powered by android". Can't turn it off to get back to recovery or anything. Expensive sceet or is there anything what I could do?
It is seems international cause I live in Finland.

Try holding down the power + volume up buttons for at least 7-10 seconds. The screen will reboot and then hold power + volume down to boot into HBOOT.

Thx, it helped. You saved me like many times before when I started to play with HTC.
I have a KIW-L24 that has been stuck in a bootloop ever since it was dropped into water. The phone was put into rice for 24 hours but no luck. This particular phone is basically stock - no root, no custom roms, etc.
Current state:
When it was first charging, it appeared to be in a bootloop - showed the low battery icon, then black screen, slow battery icon, etc..
Once it had enough power to attempt a boot it shows the first "honor" boot screen, then goes into the bootloop
I've attempting flashing to default firmware - hold power + vol up + vol down - no luck, still continues to the bootloop
I've also attempted getting into fastboot - hold power + vol down - I can get the initial fastboot screen for a second or two before it reboots
Anyone have other ideas before I call this one dead and get a new phone?
Thanks
Seems more of a hardware issue now than software. Visit Service centre if possible. As you tried other stuff already

Please don't try to turn it on for now. Bring it to service center so that they can clean the insides and remove possibly rusts.
Thanks everyone. It doesn't look like there is a service center anywhere near me.

Keep phone off for couple of days and then restart. Who knows it makes a difference

take apart the phone, remove the back cover, then let both pieces sit in a bag of rice for about 3-4 days, same thing happened with my old phone and that did the trick.
I was on the latest MIUI (9.something), boot-loader unlocked, redwolf recovery (v27), last seen battery was ~50% charged (before going off).
And, I was using my phone. Suddenly screen goes off and nothing comes up. I tried to restart, it doesn't work.
Finally I googled the problem and tried these things:
1) Press power button 5 times, then try to start the phone by long pressing power button.
Result: Screen open up, that initial screen with MIUI logo, I keep the button pressed, screen goes off and instantly starts again with booting started. Now, as soon as boot finishes, that *low-power* sound comes and it switches off.
2) Press power button 5 times, then try to start the phone by long pressing power button. This time when the screen comes up first time, I press (vol-up + power) to boot to recovery.
Result: As expected. That screen goes off and instantly another screen comes up with the recovery splash screen. Recovery comes up. There on the top, it shows two weird stats: (CPU temp 105 deg C, battery 0%).
3) Press power button 5 times, then try to start the phone by long pressing power button. This time don't press anything on the first screen.
Result: The screen goes off and that's it.
Some weird symptoms worth knowing:
1) Whenever I plug the charging cable (either with charger or, laptop) it just do not boot, neither to system nor to recovery.
2) The micro-USB port is damaged I guess. Last time (a day before all this), I tried to connect phone to my laptop but the socked seemed lose. It was just not connecting, rather fluctuating a bit.
3) Whenever I plug the charging/data cable (either with charger or, laptop) while booting or, while in recovery it suddenly switches off.
either your battery got badly damaged, or your device got fried.
First, I'd agree on the first commenter and support you taking the device to any android service center to check whether your battery or phone got fried. If it's done and proved nothing is wrong with my battery/phone I'd buy an EDL deep flash cable (I bought one for dirt cheap, 5 dollars) and try to solve my problem via deep flash, edl emergency download mode. There are tons of how to do tutorials on the official Xiaomi forums. Good luck with that, my friend!
I've updated something. Please see it.
How would I use edl if port is not working properly? See the original ques. again. I've updated it.
