It sure is, but you will need to reflash the stock rom and bootloader for your phone. Firstly you will need to find the correct kdz for you device, or use Lg bridge/ LG UP to get back to stock.
Once you have done that you can relock your device in fastboot mode using "fastboot oem lock" heres a link on how to relock just in case your not sure
http://www.mylgphones.com/re-lock-your-bootloader-on-the-eropean-lg-g5-h850-variants.html
Let me know if i can help anymore, ill try my best
Please excuse any spelling mistakes send for my LG G5

Just for info: fastboot oem lock worked also for me with latest nougat.. Thats what i did actually... No need to go back

Can confirm, "fastboot oem lock" works.

Sorry for reviving the topic (I hate it) But this model needs some updates. Hope I can help someone. This model is defective....
I was looking on the internet and everyone says to downgrade to v10c to lock oem back on G5 H850.
Well, I tried to do it with LG UP, got an error, and got stuck on Download Mode (Firmare Update screen).
I opened the LG Bridge, went to Software Update screen and them clicked on Recover Faulty Updates.
Then it worked and flashed the V20a-EUR-XX, Android 7.0 Nougat.
Went to fastboot mode, typed fastboot oem lock, and everything went to initial state... :good:
So I confirm that works on the last update (until now) V20a.

Can I relock with v20d ???

I relocked with V20a so you would assume so

You will re-lock the phone by flashing the SBF. To unlock reflash the unlock file..you'll still be on the latest SBF.
I unlocked my bootloader by going into fastboot and typing fastboot oem unlock, then it asked my to type it with my device id, so i copied the device id so i typed fastboot oem unlock ******** and it worked, it says unlocked and works
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
I had the same issue. If you click the link below to go to my thread the answer is posted by dcowboy. It works great and takes like 5 seconds.

What unlock BL thread did you use? It's possible after issue "adb reboot oem-unlock" and your phone just normal reboot. Many people has that problem. Let me guess it about new board hardware version. But some people keep trying to unlock and they success in third or fourth try.

Relocking the Bootloader on 1+7T Pro

Hi everyone, first of all, thanks for reading and trying to help out.
I have a 1+7t Pro Indian unit. I unlocked the Bootloader on my device and installed Magisk but as I saw that there were not much benefits of rooting at the moment since twrp is not also available yet so no flashing of custom roms.
So I tried to relock the Bootloader. For that I Flashed the stock rom from scratch so that no modifications stay in the system and then tried "fastboot oem lock". This however got me into a bricked stage where I got following error:
"Your device is currept. It can not be trusted and will not boot."
This comes with a red exclamation mark and nothing happens means it gets bricked. I also tried "fastboot flashing lock". That did not work either. I did unbrick it without any issue but I want to relock the Bootloader just in case I need to sell the device.
Has anyone faced the same problem or could help me out here?
Any help much appreciated and thanks in advance!!

Same here when I was trying to lock bootloader of my 7T (non pro) yesterday. I figured out a solution. Simply download unbrick tool, connect device in Qualcomm EDL mode and flash proper firmware (choose between india and O2 (which mean global) firmware. After restoring firmware with MSM tool your device bootloader will be locked again.

Question Motorola x40 Chinese > Global rom transition

Hello,
After receiving my new Motorola x40 I realized that I wasn't able to use my GooglePay nor did it have other language support. So I decided to unlock my x40 bootloader via https://en-us.support.motorola.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your- device-a
It all worked. I managed to install a global rom with all the google apps and extra language support.
However, Global rom didn't allow my GooglePlay to use my cards or backup via googleOne since the flashing was unlocked. So I went to fastboot to " fastboot flashing lock". After which my cards were able to work.
After few days of using global rom I decided to go back to chinese one since I found it a bit easier to navigate.
So when I decided to go back to my old chinese rom, in "Developer Options" OEM unlocking says "Connect to the internet or contact your operator" and it is greyed out.
I tried using " fastboot flashing/oem unlock" in fastboot however it tells me that i need to unlock it in " developer options " first.
My phone has already been connected to wifi for around 90 hours on a Global rom And around a week before I transitioned from Chinese room over to global rom.
How long do I need to be connected to the internet or what operator do I need to contact to unlock my OEM again? Or maybe there is another way to unlock OEM without waiting?
Things I tried and failed:
1) Factory reset
2) Wipe/Cache reset via recovery3) "fastboot flashing/oem unlock" via bootloader
Global rom used: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/motorola/rtwo/official/RETGB/
Have same problem.

How many days are you in this state? maybe you are closer to 7 days than I am
The toggle to unlock the bootloader is now enabled for me after 8 days. I have the Edge 40 Pro.
mine too, didn't look before, i own mine since 14 april
Ok so the theory is that once you get a global rom and "fastboot oem lock", it will act like new phone and will only unlock after 7-8 days. Guess will have to wait to test this theory out.

Any update whether you can toggle OEM Unlocking?
Also, as someone who have been using Moto phones from China for years, CN ROM is way way way better the Global ROM when it comes to features and software updates. One useful feature is the built in Motorola Wallet app where I can use my phone as keycard and transpo card.

Supposedly OTA updates are being released, some can update successfully, others can't. Keep us updated if you're able to successfully update.

I'm assuming it's a Motorola issue. I'm assuming maybe even real Edge 40 Pro devices can't unlock yet? Honestly if OTA works and so do all features (banking, 5g, etc) then I have no problem doing the conversion.

You won't be able to unlock the bootloader twice, impossible it's done by design by motorola.
You can only unlock your bootloader once

It's possible that we won't get OTA, only will know for sure in the future, i'm in the same situation.
But you can always manually update your firmware with rescue tool or through ADB as long it's the official firmware. You don't need a unlocked bootloader for that

I think this method would work:
I screwed up...moto X40 bricked / Any EDL mode available?
Hi guys sadly I completely softbricked my motorola X40 phone i'm a idiot. I flashed to a wrong firmware file (edge 30 pro) and re-locked bootloader then found it phone doesn't properly boot anymore. I can boot it in fastboot mode but flashing in...
forum.xda-developers.com
But I think this will erase all your data so it's not a real "upgrade firmware" method
I also found out there is an "software update" in the lenovo rescue tool
Maybe it's worth the shot to try this out too, but for me it's says I have the latest firmware already (which is correct) so I can't test it out right now.

LG V60 V600VM[Verizon] Re-lock bootloader

Dear Masters,
I bought a 2nd hand LG V60 V600VM from china taobao store and it comes with a customize firmware, i don't like it and flash it back to 30b (android 12) stock firmware using LGUP.
I would like an upgrade from android 12 to android 13 from Verizon OTA but fail, i found the problem should be the phone is still boot loader unlocked.
I search through the web can find many tutorials of how to unlocked boot loader, but can't find one teach how to re-lock the bootloader.
Can any experts shows how to do that? I just want my phone back to stock, everything back to stock, no need root, no need boot loader unlock....
Thanks very much!!!
Rgds,
wingwing939.
It's the same as unlocking but when you get to the step fastboot oem unlock, do fastboot oem lock instead.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/v60-bootloader-unlock-and-magisk-root.4358785/
Done! it works fine, the boot loader is locked now, thank you very much!!!
