When I say my phrase and use my voice to send a text, it does not send until I unlock my phone. Can I change that?

The only way I've discovered to get around it is by using smart lock. I have my phone stay unlocked when it's connected to my watch, but you could try trusted voice.

I think he is pretty aware of that
He want to disable it.
better that option never come out during incoming call..
yeah..the message is sent automatically..same problem here..need solution
the solution is remove that function
found new solution
i use Big Caller ID app
there i can disable call with message. :good:
Use Tiny Call Confirm app. Prevents screentouch on incoming call until you unlock screen via unlock slider.
Im having a problem I can send text and they receive it but I do not receive any replys. I do not receive any text messages at all. I am using the stock app. I tryed using handsent and still nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks
Is it just to one person or all?
And I'm sure you've tried a restart / shutdown battery pull right?
Have you deleted anything from titanium?
Can you make/recieve phone calls ?
Might be a Verizon reset. I've seen messages get caught up in the que and they do whatever they do and I get flooded. ← my money is on this.
Im not receive any text but they do receiving mine. I did no a restart and a battery pull still nothing. I do not have titanium installed. I can make and receive calls. Is there a way to reinstall the message app? Thanks
No. Just call good ole 611 and tell em your texts aren't coming through.
Maybe try pulling the Sim card out for a couple minutes then putting it back in...idk if it'll help but its worth a shot. (Turn off phone before hand)
It seems that im getting text from everyone except from iphone users. My wife has the iphone 4 and I do not receive her messages but she does get mine.

i used google voice strictly for voicemail on my sgs2 just fine, but when i try to set it up on my stock htc one it wont let me, and says it fails to get the carrier number or something.. does anyone here have it running successfully?
Mine does the same, but it worked fine on my GS2. But despite the error message, I am still getting Google voicemails in my GV app successfully. I'm thinking that maybe the error message just means that the GV voicemail won't integrate with the phone's visual voicemail

Log into GV from the web and go to settings ... on your cell number click on the "deactivate voicemail" or something of that sort link first...follow the instructions. it will give you an MMI code. I think it's **004# or something of that sort. Then click on the "Activate Voicemail" link that appears after. It will give you another MMI code...i think it's *004*YOURGVNUMBERHERE# or something of that sort (it gives you the instructions). This will manually override the voicemail forwarding number and enable gv as your voicemail. It has worked for me since I got my Skyrocket and I've been using this method since for every phone i've had including my S3 and the HTC One now. Try it out maybe itll work for you guys too.

Have you logged into GV on your PC yet, and then clicked on "settings," and then the "phones" tab, and then "activate google voicemail" next to that number? If so, you may need to deactivate, and then reactive (Google will tell you to dial a number starting with *400 from your handset). I did this, and it got the GV voicemails to start showing up in the GV app on my HTC One

Do these two phones have the same SIM card/phone number? If all you did was switching the SIM card over to the new phone, then you don't need to do anything.
Also, if you did the deactivation and activation on the web, you don't need to set it up again on GV app on the phone.

The SIM card switch shouldn't matter. The GV voicemail setup works by setting up conditional forwarding with your carrier for your phone number, i.e. "carrier, if <your actual phone number> doesn't get picked up by x ring, then forward the call to <your google voice number's voice mailbox>". Therefore, if the conditional forwarding worked with your actual phone number before, it should still work in a different phone.
Having said that, since you already did a deactivation and activation on the web, you shouldn't have to do anything else from the GV app on the phone. I actually never was able to set the forwarding from the GV app and always did it on the web.

Ya I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do now..
i just uninstalled the app from my other phone(sgs2 that i dont use anymore) and then did the deactivate and reactivate again and then GV seemed to install fine this time.. odd stuffs..
If all else fails leave it set to 'My carrier' and manually change the conditional forwarding and voice mail access numbers to your GV number.
Sometimes when I receive a call, I'll answer it and it will play the person's recording of their name and say "press 1 to accept or 2 to..." What's going on? Never had this happen on any other phone... I'm completely stock. Thanks.
Do you use Google Voice? That sounds like your calls might be going through GV. Just a thought.

I didn't think of that... But... I only use it for voicemail and it has never happened in my other phones. I don't use google voice for calls.
Hmm. Well maybe when you set up voicemail, somehow it also set to have your calls go through GV? I might would double check the settings just to make sure. I know one time I had a similar issue and checked the settings and saw it was set that way. I don't know why... as I didn't purposely set it that way... so I apparently did something on accident.

I'm only going to be able to get it if it works on Verizon since I'm in a combined plan with my family in the US. If it is possible what version of the phone would it be, from research I've seen some sites saying it works and others saying it doesn't. It seems that the Chinese version for sure doesn't, but I hope others will, thanks!
I'm using the Chinese model on Verizon right now. Voice call won't work, but you can use it with data. Once the SIM is insert, wait for about 5-10 min, it will pick up Verizon signal. After that you will have to go into *#*=4636#*#* and set it to CDMA/LTE or LTE only for it to work with data. I'm using it with Google "hang out and hang out dialer" to make voip call (works flawlessly, the sound is just like regular phone call). Make sure to set hang out to always running in the back ground and LOCK it in the recent running app. and of course, all notification on.
Good luck!

So can I use my Verizon number as my google hangouts/dialer number? Does everyone I know have to switch to google hangouts over texting? Do I have to give everyone I know a new phone number that is google hangouts/dialer? Do texts go to google hangouts and you can respond to them there (the people don't have google hangouts)?
EDIT: Yes, No, No, Yes

You can have your Verizon number forward to hang out number and everyone can call you on that. They don't have to switch, texting with hang out is like normal. You can give your hang out phone number only for texting, because you cannot forward text message. In short, it is not a seamless transition. If you do not want to use 2 separate numbers, the only way is to give everyone the new hangout number for both call and text

This is all true; however, you can port your Verizon number to Google voice (including google messenger and dialer) for a one time $20 fee; a.k.a keep your number but use google instead of Verizon.
