I got the scatter file from CM thread. But I cannot use it in SP cuz "initializing scatter file failed please check the name of scatter p9000 is legal".
Name is MT6755_Android_scatter.txt
SP latest version 5.1520
Dont know whats wrong and what to do. I got this device for $10 on GearBest in a competition. Didnt know flashing MTK devices is so difficult. Will stick to snapdragon from now on.
Stop with Windows
Maybe not the answer you want to hear, but stop using Windows for this. Using SP Flash Tool within Linux is so much easier. No MTK drivers too install. Just run and flash.
A little notice is that my luck began with version 5.1648 of SP Flash. And use this link for your recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/ele...ndroid-6-0-t3423518/post68357470#post68357470. All others didn't work for me.
Good luck.

Did you flash CM too? I followed the instruction but when I hit the download button, SP does not load at all. Its frustrating cuz I dont see why cant we use adb instead of this MTK-specific SP flash tool

adb is used for pushing files, adb shell and other stuff, not to flash roms..(except adb sideload) ive flashed Aerom, i havent tried cm13, make sure your not using wrong scatter file, i think p9000 and p9000 lite have different scatters
I have got past the scatter file problem by shortening its name but then when I hit the download button, nothing happened.
I have installed SP driver pack, disable digital signing but when I try to install the VCOM driver, the installer could not install because the program wasn't signed.

Which version of Windows do you use??
The VCOM-drivers cant be installed in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update...
Easy!
Use some other directory (folder), e.g. C: or C:\Flash\. this will work.
Hey guys,
sorry to bother you but i'm sort of stuck in a loop which i'm tryin to get out.
short background story: (end question next paragraph)
i own a xiaomi redmi pro, with a "fake" xiaomi stable global rom on it. fake as xiaomi doesn't support this rom.
I wish for several reasons to flash to either a stable/dev china rom, or the .eu stable eu rom.
for this i read a lot on how to flash those on a winsdows pc. but i run ubuntu.
so no problem... both use sp flash tool. so i downloaded the tool opened perfectly and tried to load scatter file from the rom i downloaded.
rom page link: downloaded both the china stable and china dev rom for the redmi pro
question paragraph:
when loading the scatter file i recieve an error message: Error: Initializing scatter file failed. Please check the name of scatter file which you load is legal.
i looked up the error and found that this was caused by the use of not the latest sp flash tool.
But i just downloaded it from the sp flash tool site itself (https://spflashtool.com) as being the latest for linux 64 bit. (SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Linux_v5.1520.00.100)
true there are later versions (SP_Flash_Tool_exe_win_v5.1524 or SPFlash Tool 5.1628, but only for windows)
googled a bit further and founs this site from sp flash tools: http://spflashtools.com/linux/sp-flash-tool-v5-1724-linux via https://androidmtk.com/smart-phone-flash-tool
so i downloaded this version, made the flash_tool an executable with: chmod +x flash_tool and tried to run it with ./flash_tool, but now i get an error message:
error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory, which i indeed couldn't locate.
maybe it is a 64 bit /'32 bit version error? but in the http://spflashtools.com/linux, site i did not find any specifications to 64 bit vs 32 bit, while it was on the previous mentioned site.
since flashing a phone can be a hazardous thing to do i want to be sure i'm using the correct tools.
I hope someone here is willing to help me with getting the sp flash tools correct version up and running so i can indeed load the scatter file.
Kind regard
Matthieu
sorry,
found the error related to the libpng12-0 problem.. added the file to my system, and the latest version run as expected now.
although when i tried to flash i got an error message (and a blue thumb and index pinger because of pressing the two buttons)
ERROR : STATUS_EXT_RAM_EXCEPTION (-1073414139) , MSP ERROE CODE : 0x00.
but i expect this to be an phone (type) related issue, and i will aim my attention therefor back to the xioami forum.
none the less thanks.
Greets i hope this is the right place to post this. I am trying to bypass google lock on this phone by installing a fresh copy of the original firmware. The only place ive found with the firmware is this one http://www.neffos.com/en/support/download/C5A.
I have SP flash tools, drivers and everything, it is using a mediatec chip. The issue im running in is that the said firmware is in a different format(?) than the ones people are using with sp flash tools. It doesn;t have the correct format of the scatter file (only a scatter.txt which sp flash tools won't recognize). So my question is, has anyone done this to this phone, and how exactly? Can't find anything on the net.
Thanks in advance
I have oneplus Nord 2 5G DN2103 phone. There was a problem with the phone. I want to install software with SP Flash Tools. Drivers are installed, software is ready but I can't install. I think permission is required. I guess the auth file with permission is required. It gives STATUS_SEC_AUTH_FILE_NEEDED error. I am quite experienced in installing roms.
If you figure out a way to install the firmware with SP flash tools and not with mtk client then do post here that how you did it , as far as my knowledge goes there is no mtk exploit for our mt6893 chipset and hence we are not able to flash firmware through spflash tools , but if you figure out a way then do let us know how you did it . Also you need to install a device filter using libusb but since there is no mtk exploit for mt6893 , i am not able to flash it using spflash tools , if you figure out a way then do definitely let us know . And no authentication file is needed to flash the mt6893 , you need payload for mt6893 and device class filter to flash the device using SP Flash Tools .
Hi everyone. I ask you something ¿is there any way to flash a samsung stock firmware on brom mode (not in download mode, but brom mode)? If there is, ¿How can i do that? Thanks
Model SM-.....
is that samsung use mediatek? if so, find full dump firmware for your model and flash it using sp flash tool, you need bypass brom authentication first in order to flash

I tried already with sp flash tool, I know about bypass brom authentication; but I what I don't have is a reliable scatter firmware. I tried to convert any of the samsung roms I downloaded, into a scatter one, by using Android utility, but the generated scatter is useless, so i don't know if all the rest of "converted" files are reliable too.

Sir, that's exactly the problem: There's no download mode. It's stuck on boot rom mode, so the phone it's just recognized as mtk device.
So, I tried to find a firmware scatter version for this phone, but besides what is a relatively new model, its storage is UFS, so any EMMC scatter file is useless, at least on sp flash tool. Someone has said me, I can flash it with unlocktool, but i'm broke and I cannot afford that program (and obviously if the phone is stuck in that mode, odin doesn't work).
