I am new here so be patient with me.
I have downloaded 3 different ROMs so far of different sizes..
1 of them completes but it still fails to boot. (The ROM has *.txt scatter file)
With the other 2 it says S_NOT_ENOUGH_STORAGE_SPACE(1011) on both WiseLink Tool and SP Flash Tool. They have the ".sca" extention
I have tried researching on the error and what i have got so far is that either its the wrong ROM or there is a mismatch with the partition sizes.
Please Help.
I got the scatter file from CM thread. But I cannot use it in SP cuz "initializing scatter file failed please check the name of scatter p9000 is legal".
Name is MT6755_Android_scatter.txt
SP latest version 5.1520
Dont know whats wrong and what to do. I got this device for $10 on GearBest in a competition. Didnt know flashing MTK devices is so difficult. Will stick to snapdragon from now on.
Stop with Windows
Maybe not the answer you want to hear, but stop using Windows for this. Using SP Flash Tool within Linux is so much easier. No MTK drivers too install. Just run and flash.
A little notice is that my luck began with version 5.1648 of SP Flash. And use this link for your recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/ele...ndroid-6-0-t3423518/post68357470#post68357470. All others didn't work for me.
Good luck.

try installing latest sp flash tools, flashing mtk devices is easy just make sure you have latest version, correct scatter file, correct drivers, and correct firmware..

Did you flash CM too? I followed the instruction but when I hit the download button, SP does not load at all. Its frustrating cuz I dont see why cant we use adb instead of this MTK-specific SP flash tool

adb is used for pushing files, adb shell and other stuff, not to flash roms..(except adb sideload) ive flashed Aerom, i havent tried cm13, make sure your not using wrong scatter file, i think p9000 and p9000 lite have different scatters
I have got past the scatter file problem by shortening its name but then when I hit the download button, nothing happened.
I have installed SP driver pack, disable digital signing but when I try to install the VCOM driver, the installer could not install because the program wasn't signed.

Which version of Windows do you use??
The VCOM-drivers cant be installed in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update...
Easy!
Use some other directory (folder), e.g. C: or C:\Flash\. this will work.
This is my 3rd post, without any replies for the issue with my Blackview p10000 pro on my previous 2 threads
As such i find it hard that none of you is able to give me a hand... that's what forums are for right?! WRONG! Nobody cares!
And this will be the last thread i open with a disappointment from this community
I'm using a MediaTek SP MultiPort flashtool and, i selected my scatter file 'MT6763_Android_scatter.txt'
Unfortunately upon loading the file i get the error that's an incorrect scatter file format
I'm trying to reset my bootloader to stock firmware
Android 8.1.0
Well I'll be quick... So do what this video says with the files and you will have your redmi 9c alive again, I tried with hydra tool, mtk bypass and none worked but this video saved so try it.
If it works don't forget to say thanks haha
I also recommend that you don't use any kind of TWRP, they usually cause hardbricks, switch to fast boot and do everything there...
Even if it takes more work temporarily, it will cause you less headache.
It's really easy to root through fastboot and it's much safer, besides not having to format your phone, just patch the boot img through magisk, and use a vbmeta
1 -fastboot flash patched-magisk-boot.img (boot.img here)
2 -fastboot --disable-verification --disable-verification flash vbmeta (vbmeta.img here)
I'm not going to put the files, but if you look, you'll probably find it, and just follow this and it will work
Didn't work for me sadly. I have a redmi 9 activ (cattail), coudn't understand the video and the closed captions are unavailable so I tried following it visually. I downloaded the roms from xiaomi firmware updater website, all 3 available for this device, which are firmware, vendor and official. Tried to load the scatter file and on all 3 of them it keeps returning me the error STATUS_SCATTER_FILE_INVALID (-1073545215), MSP ERROE CODE: 0x00, and also tried using all 4 other flash tool versions provided on that website on the video description all of them failed.

Are you sure that you downloaded the fastboot rom for cattail?
Here is the direct download link for the Fastboot rom for cattail - https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.0.18....TINXM_20220826.0000.00_10.0_in_b1c7409a05.tgz
omg it was the tgz file... a format I've never seen before had no idea you could just decompress that like a .zip or .rar
I kept getting this error status_sec_img_too_large
some sources online said to disable cust
I did, it apparently flashed ok, but it still wont turn on or anything

Can you go to fastboot mode?
Nope. No fastboot, no recovery, nothing. Only being recognized by the brom bypass and sp flash tools. Another topic on hovatek suggesting try every recovery image possible. Well, here I go try, then. Everyone available on xiaomi firmware updater website.

All the best
Imma sharing my experience, I recently got my cattail bricked, it came to a point where I had no choice but to believe that the device is merely dead (emmc is corrupted).
After a few days, I ended up at this post - https://www.hovatek.com/blog/my-experience-unbricking-a-dead-boot-lg-stylo-6/, and tried the command given by the OP, and my device BOOTED!
(You can get the preloader for your device by downloading the tgz file and then extracting it; inside the images/ folder)
