IF your using safe strap then go back into stock rom from stock rom slot then wipe and delete the slot you had custom rom on then click make slot and reflash custom rom.

With device off Hold volume up and down and power at the same time then when it get to black screen with the menu let go and scroll down with volume down button to bptools and then press volume up. It will go to safestrap recovery. When in safe strap do the following posted above. That black screen is your fastboot menu.

Hi Guys!
I restarted my phone and now am stuck in a boot loop on the CM10 animation.
I have a Razr GSM (XT910) and am running Safe Strap (based off TWRP)
Is there a way to extract my SMS and app data from the ROM slot before I wipe my phone? I have a couple of .img files, but I can't seem to open them in any PC software.
Thanks in advance!

Well that was rather obvious :silly:
Thanks!
So I was using Boot Menu Manager and I made a full backup of my stock rom. I wiped everything from system 1 and flashed Carbon rom then dtrails kernel. Well it wouldn't boot with that kernel so I went back into BMM and tried to reflash the ROM so I could boot it and BMM froze while it was flashing. To get out I had to do a force restart. Now my phone won't prompt for BMM and I can only get into the stock recovery and fastboot! What can I do???? Please HELP!
someone must have an idea? Please I have no phone right now!
Do you have an XT912 or XT910?
Flash the fastbopt file ( or SBF FILE?I dont know how to call it. )The reason that the bmm dosent show up is because that it will install itself to keep stay on your stock system. When you force reboot while you flashing a ROM or something, the system was wiped but the bmm dosent even have a chance to install itself to your system.Thats why it didnt show up when you boot.

That makes sense. Unfortunately I have an alltel xt908 RAZR maxx which is identical to the xt912 but is signed differently so I can't use xt912 sbf/fast boot files.

Hi all,
I have Safestrap Recovery v3.11 (TWRP v2.2.2.1) and CM-10.1.3 umts_spyder on Slot1. I did something stupid in safestrap (can not remember if I wipe or install a different ROM in stock slot) and lost my stock ROM, it can't boot, the screen goes black (bricked).
I can still boot and use the CM perfectly, but I wonder if there is a way to reinstall the stock ROM on stock slot.
You can use RSDLite to flash the stock fastboot files.
This will get your phone into stock state and you will need to root again and re install SS.

Thanks, but I already tried and did not work.
RSD says "the phone failed to switch to fastboot mode".
You have to boot into fastboot mode before flashing.

Thank you,
After flashing the file, the phone is looping during boot, it loads motorola logo then reboot.

Hello, I have safestrap and I have it saying that it's installed, but when I reboot into recovery it just does the normal process. I've also tried booting directly into recovery, and it just reboots its self back into normal boot.
Any ideas?
It should show up everytime you do a normally reboot or power on your phone.
I have never used the power menu to reboot into recovery but I'm thinking that is what you are doing instead of just doing a normal reboot.

Do u have safestrap application on your mobile ? Open the aplication and try "reboot in recovery"... Im also using safestrap and it works fine... Curently im not running any rom, its just stock with removed bloat applications with titanium backup

What recovery? o.o If you're talking about the Install button, yes.
Also, forgot to mention... I'm on MJ7

That would have been nice to mention up front as Safestrap doesn't work on MJ7.
It sounded like you had it working and it suddenly stopped working. If you took the OTA to MJ7, yeah, you're stuck.

Press volume up instead of down to get into recovery if it is a dual recovery.

Your phone is a GPe model? If so flash the latest Doomkernel from GPe section using flashtool.
Edit....you know I think the newest one was a zip and I pulled boot.img from it to flash with flashtool. So that has me wondering if the full.zip could be flashed straight from the cwm you have.

I have with flashtool, after selecting reboot system in flashtool you boot into recovery before the ROM boots then restore your backup.
Edit...flash boot.img before selecting reboot system.

Sorry if I wasn't clear earlier, you can fix it with flashtool basically the way you rooted it. You could even use the old GPe advanced dual recovery kernel if it is still on your PC. Flash the boot image with flashtool, then select reboot system in flashtool as it reboots and led lights up press volume key ( can't remember if twrp is up or down?) then restore backup from recovery.
