[Help] LG L70 D320f8 overheating and autorestart - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Some few days ago I got to install a clean kdz into this phone, but for some reason I notice the phone overheat brutally that causes to autorestart after a normal block or to discharge the battery meanwhile it's working, also when the phone starts to charge without power on the phone, a purple screen apears meaning the ram of the phone needs to be dumped, any solution? I have tried everything to get fully working the phone, due to the overheat, the phone charges decreases too quickly and I'm getting tired of this situation

overheating
The lg l70 model does not suffer from overheating problems as far as I know( I am using one too). I think you device is defective. Return it to the vendor and get it repaired.

[Q] Overheating and not turning on !

I rooted my phone with Cyanogenmod 11 (nightly) two weeks ago, it was fine, no issues. On monday morning phone was fully charged, but with very little to no use it was completely discharged in 7 hours. When I connected phone to a charger (original and working) it didn't want to turn on, it did NOTHING, black screen. When I borrowed battery from my brother's S2 wich was charged almost fully, it booted KitKat but it showed that the battery has to be recharged. I put it back to brother's phone but it showed only approx. 15% less than before, it was okay. I tried charging my phone with brother's battery, but it was incredibly overheating , not like when you play games, I was afraid it was going to blow up. It is overheating even when phone is turned off and charging or even when normally turned on, on battery. I tried enabling airplane mode, I even installed stock ROM with Odin, but it is still overheating. It is not overheating near the camera but on the left side of the screen, I don't know what that chip is there for. Stock ROM now gives me error after 2 min. saying "Charging paused, battery temperature too high." Now my battery is discharged and phone is unable to charge it, only black screen again. Could this be done by rooting it with Cyanogenmod ? it was the only ROM that I installed through the step-by-step process on their site and for couple of days it worked fine. Is this a hardware issue that would occur even if I wouldn't root my phone, also is it somehow fixable, or would I need to change motherboard completely ? PLS HELP !

G5 restarts automaticly when being charged

Hi,
i have upgraded my G5 (brand-free, H850, TWRP 3.0.2-0) from system software v10c to v10e recently. Since that, everytime i switch off the phone while being charged, the loading screen appears for a moment and the G5 reboots instantly, altough it's intended to stay switched off. On v10c, i could easily bypass the problem by plugging in the power cable before powering off the phone, but even that doesn't work under v10e. For me, this is quite annoying, since the phone charges a lot faster when powered off, altough i'm not even sure if it's a bug or a feature. Has anyone encountered the same problem with their G5? Could it be related to TWRP in any way?
I'm grateful for every answer.

I have received this same problem.
It only happens when I am charging in my car though. Usually I have bluetooth and GPS going on at the same time. But I've never had this problem while charging normally at home using the charger that came with the phone.
It's only when I am charging in my car.

Sudden death

Here's my issue:
While listening to music the phone suddenly died. I have done no modification to the phone and have had no issues leading up to the current problem.
The battery was fully charged 1 hour prior to it dying. I have changed out the battery with a different fully charged LG battery- still nothing.
I removed the SIM card, reinstalled it, removed and reinstalled the battery, checked my charger, performed the hard reset... nothing.
No lights, no vibrations, no recognition when connected to PC.
This is a T-mobile H901 model. There has been no damage from drops, or water.
I have no tech skills and will try anything if anybody has the patience to walk me through any possible resolution. I am an absolute noob, so please be patient with me if you're willing to help
I like this device, but I'm afraid its a gonner. Just seems weird to have it suddenly die.
It seems, more or less, a hardware issue similar to the infamous LG bootloop of death.
You can try putting your phone into a freezer for about 5 minutes (without battery!) to see if it wakes up... but it is only a temporary solution, just to save important data if required.
Mine died yesterday. This is the second LG to do this (previously the g4) I'm not buying another LG phone again. The freezer trick does work. My phone didn't last long enough to back anything up though
I do have face the same thing, and finally decided to hate LG devices and technology.
My device is LG v10 T-Mobile, the device could switched on, but no light, receives call but didn't respond due to the blacken screen.
I cost it on hard, but now I am walking alone and forced to meet people live instd of a single phone call; because of LG fake technology.

Weird battery/crashing issue

My phone has developed a strange problem in the last week or so. Basically, it crashes randomly. Turns completely off, and when I try to turn it on again, it assures me the battery is dead by flashing the empty battery symbol. The problem is, the battery is not dead at all. This has happened at charge levels of ~30% up to almost 60%.
When I plug the phone into a charger, it suddenly shows that it's back at the original 57% or whatever and charges, turns on, and operates normally. It's like plugging it in "reminds" it that everything's okay.
Slightly before this, it also developed a problem where all my widgets often disappear after any dead battery shutdown, but this doesn't happen every time.
It's a factory unlocked E5823 on AT&T, currently on Android version 7.1.1. Some Googling around revealed people having a lot of problems with it in July, but I don't even remember when I got that update. It was definitely a while before this issue started, and other people's issues don't sound like mine. The change that most closely coincides with the onset of this problem is me installing Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. I'm not sure how that would mess with the basic operation of my phone, however.
Thoughts? If the battery was just dying, it would actually drain charge, not falsely crash the phone while really full of juice, I thought, but am I wrong? I haven't felt the need to root this phone, but I'm not at all opposed, either, if it'll help. Should I root it and reset batterystats, see if that helps?

--yep mine too. I'm thinking it has to do with the heaying problem. Mine crashes and dies when there are many apps running/ wifi on with downloads while watching youtube., etc. another is when I recprd videos at 4k pr 720p for about 8-10 mins. My phone heats up real hard. I'll try resetting it and hopefully this fixes it. ps. Haven't done anything to my z5c yet. no unlocked bootloader, no root.,etc.
Same problem
I had the same problem
Device have charge (50,60,70 or more), show 0% and turn off.
Hardware problem maybe ???
any solution found?
hi,
I know it's been a long time you posted this but I'm currently facing that exact same problem.
Could you find any solution in the end?
Thanks

It looks like your battery is just dying. This was a common issue with Nexus 6p and other phones.
Resetting batterystats won't help... it doesen't have anything to do with it

Shutdown and power issues

Hello dear tech enthusiasts,
I'm having very weird issues with my LG G8X ThinQ. It started when I connected the phone to a car for AA, the phone shut down. When powering on again, the screen would flicker very slightly, barely noticable. and then shut down again. This would persist for a couple of minutes untill I noticed the screen didn't flicker anymore and the phone would resume operation. I also noticed the phone being very hot.
It also started happening when charging the phone wireless. Not during charge, but when starting or ending the charge. Also with regular wall charge, or any car model charge. Recently, the phone started showing these symptons out of the ordinary, wtihout any charge happening. Symptons are usually the same, high temps and flickering screen when rebooting. The phone did not slow down in perfomance noticeably.
I really love this phone, powerfull, nice battery, good screen. I really do not want discard it over something weird. I tried sending it in for repair twice but those companies are clueless and I got it back (after several weeks) with "there's nothing wrong".
Looking for help or advice on how to adress this problem.
Thanks in advance!
M
